Yes, I have similar thoughts about sports betting as you, it's far better option for me than those casino games that have their own house edge thing. Long term gambling is a loss, that is the house edge being applied. Without playing long term, short term is also the same. So the time frame actually dont matter, it is always a loss. In sports gambling I think every gambler can do the same way for the long term but even so, considering the amount of money that matches the odds you have is also an important consideration. You practically got the OP all wrong, he was talking about the feasibility of piling up your gains for a certain period of time without withdrawing it and the risks associated with it. He might not explain it so pleasantly but on average everyone should be able to understand what he is trying to convey. As for the 30-1 chance you mentioned, he never said that, he only mentioned an odd of 1.30 as an example. For me, the odd is too little to achieve the compounding system he was referring to. This is because the odds as low as 1.30 will never help the gambler with the needed risk management to secure his account and make sure the compounding is possible.

At first i don`t think one can continue to win because gambling all about luck so they are going to be bad days where one is going to endup with losses . 1. They might not have reached their ROI from their past losses.
