Yes indeed, because as far as I can tell, pre-season matches or friendly matches like this will be difficult to predict. You are right, the friendly match does not determine the strength of a club because most clubs that plays the friendly matches don't take it serious. I think ETH listened to the criticism in their last friendly match by the fans.

even though you don't have to make use of your key players in friendlies, as a coach, you expect your players to put in Thier best performance. For the other players that might not have hard the opportunity of playing during the time the season will be in full swing but would be given chance to play at the friendlies, it's an opportunity to prove to the team and the coach that you're worthy of getting a chance to play at the big stage and that's the angle that should make the friendlies almost as competitive as the main tournament. With two matches played against two teams that aren't all that strong and winning one while losing the other, it's not the best of start for the red devils but obviously not a very bad start.

For the sake of building a winning mentality mindset, it's good to start winning matches right from the preseason and even though some teams end up doing well at the preseason and person so badly during the main season, it's best you get some key things right and get yourselves Into the winning ways so when the season starts fully, you must have become a serious threat to the opposition.

Friendlies are usually for foreplay and teams to exercise new strategies mostly when it is being handed to a new management, that is the reason we can see quite a few big teams losing in most of the friendly matches. And aswell for the safety of their players not to get injured and put the team into uneven situations. Last night I saw several good opportunities regarding friendly matches even though I didn't take this match too seriously but still my curiosity was always excited and I still wanted to try risking a little of my money as I said before, even though it was too risky but I didn't mind.
But last night I was a little silly trying to bet on a club that had high odds because I had a feeling that in these friendly matches the favorite club usually always loses so I tried betting the other way around

1. In the Benfica vs Almeria match I chose Almeria, a weak club in La Liga and had odds as below but unfortunately my bet lost


2. In the BGPU vs Dortmund match, I chose BGPU, a club from Thailand whose performance I don't know, but what is clear is that they are not really favorites in this match, but it is worth the risk, the odds are very high, but in this match, I managed to win it

I might bet on waiting for the formation of the two clubs to be announced while waiting for other options to become available.
Maybe if there are no other options just under 6.5 would be a good choice.
