I have 2 small miners, a Futurebit Apollo and Avalon nano 3.
I currently keep them both in my front bedroom office, but the issue is the room gets hot. Especially right now in July. In Florida.

Is there any reason I shouldn't keep them in the garage as they mine? The garage does get hot, maybe 90 degrees or so during the day.

I'm trying to figure out a good place during the summer heat for them as they mine. Any ideas?

They should handle 90f try the garage and see how they work for you.

I have spent time in Florida most people run AC in the summer.

I would think they would not over heat a room using AC. As they only use 250-300 watts combine

That's a pretty small miner and low power consumption I don't think it could give much heat in your room unless you have a small room.

I don't think you should run them in the garage but it is a good alternative place to run a miner you need to add a bit of fan to keep their temp down and prevent it from overheating.

yes, it is a relatively small room, and it gives off more heat than you would expect. its not extreme, but it is noticable in the heat of the day

300w worth of heat in a small room without an AC is a lot of heat especially if the room is well insulated and it's hot outside, the heat will accumulate and the room will eventually get pretty warm/hot.

I don't see any reason why not to run them in the garage, you may as well get a small USB fan to move the air around to keep them even cooler, if the garage is big, you may not even need much air movement.
