To put simply this "shame" is not only because of committing an atrocious act, but because of committing an atrocious act that doesn't even benefit you!

Otherwise there is nobody that doesn't know we call USA is a colony itself that is built on graves of countless innocent Americans and is guilty of genocide. But when you look at all those atrocious acts, the regime saw some benefit in them. eg. they committed genocide in America 200 years ago to establish the colony, they committed genocide 80 years ago during WW2 to establish a hegemony, they committed genocide 20 years ago in Middle East to solidify their version of unipolar world.

I may agree with you on the assessment of the October incident since it targeted civilians in addition to settlers, but it can never be classified as anything other than an act of resistance. I am rather skeptical Netanhayu would be willing to get a dime to the people of Palestine even if Hamas was completely disbanded tomorrow and what is left is a destroyed Gaza strip with hungry and desperate civilians. I am already convinced there will be no peace as long as Bibi is in power as the maximum authority of the state of Israel, and many Israeli citizens know that, hence what there have been so many protests by them against the rule of their prime minister, who may be more appealed to prepare the ground for settlers in the gaze strip rather than the complete destruction of Hamas as organization.
There will be no reparations, neither from the estate of Israel, nor the United States, I could bet on it not happening.
