The United States has been and is a superpower, how many benefits have been given to humanity.
It mostly depends on your definition of "benefits for humanity" are. Some people could argue some of the benefits the United States have given to the rest of the world could include the number of Nobel Winning scientists they have educated and harbored in their country. But it is completely relative to the view of each one of us.
Most of the people from abroad the United States will argue it is a country which has brought more evil than good on the face of earth, they implemented and developed atomic weapons, they have negatively influenced in the western hemisphere through colonialism and imperialism, among other things.
Some will call it a fight for the right of the people of the continent to be free, others view it as an intervention upon the people's business with the ulterior motive to steal their mineral and energetic resources.
Pick your instance of it and defend it, I try not to fall for the bias of the mainstream media.
