No. At the time Satoshi published the Bitcoin whitepaper, there was no bitcointalk.org or any other version of the Bitcoin forum. While Satoshi did post anonymously on an online message board, it wasn't a dedicated Bitcoin forum yet.

Trump is already been a strong bitcoin enthusiast as popularly said that he's a bitcoin pro. So,his supports for the bitcoin community now hasn't been a new thing but though he has got much visions as he elaborates a lots on the tendencies by which bitcoin could be in the future. His immense contributions featuring growths to the bitcoin communities has also attracted lot of political favours for him because the dream for every enthusiasts is a more convenience and reliable utilizations of bitcoin which of course Trump has taken lead of so, it's the other way really going to help him with his political vision.

Let me fix the name of this questionable member of human race: Donaldt Trumpst

This individuum will say anything that benefits him on his quest for another term. I'm pretty sure he doesn't gives a shit about Bitcoin, pretending to be pro is just a slap to the face for those he hates in current government or generally. And he doesn't mind any additional votes of more gullible retards.

If you count on anything this individuum ouzes out, good luck with that. I'd even go so far to say, you deserve the destruction this individuum will bring if your votes bring it to power again.

I think my position regarding this individuum is pretty much obvious. If you feel the need to throw shit at me, well, I can't stop you and I don't care. Don't waste your time, I'm not open to changing my stance.

I don't know why you are talking about Satoshi Nakamoto here, could you enlight me/us please? As I understand tech30338 is talking about Donald Trump who is known to like posting many messages on social medias, especially Twitter and Truth Social. So it wouldn't surprise me if he came sometimes in the Politics & Society section or elsewhere to debate with some members of the forum IMO. It would be funny but it's not unbelievable. I hope he will leak his nickname one day if it's true.

If any one should come throw shit at you for this then he or she doesn't have a clue about what democracy is pretty much about. Everyone is allowed to his own opinion and choice of candidate. Hence Trump is a politician he can say what he knows that needs to be said to capture the support of majority of the citizens and the bitcoin maximalists but I still know that people's perspective changes as time goes on, and if Trump wasn't for bitcoin some years ago while he was president and today he is now an ardent supporter, it could be that he now has a good knowledge of the digital tech more than he had in times past, reason for the support

Trump was actually talking about Satoshi and his anonymous posts on message boards. Tech30338 mistakenly assumed this was referring to Bitcointalk, which didn't even exist at the time.

Trump was criticized before as he think bitcoin is not money and high volatile as he was think that this is risky asset. But maybe they finally realize that technology is good and bitcoin is really a good asset to have that's why he is there now supporting bitcoin and its community since aside that US provably can gain something with existence of bitcoin, he can also gather the votes of all crypto user especially to those who hate Biden's policy created against crypto.

I also read an article about it past few days then good to add here if people want to read it https://edition.cnn.com/2024/07/27/politics/donald-trump-bitcoin-cryptocurrency/index.html

I've watched a part of his speech where he talked about Bitcoin. What came to my mind is that it sounds really good when speaking about that. But he's talking it because an election is coming. He wants to take people's vote and that's why he's getting the votes of the Bitcoin community. The market reacted and this is why we're back to $69k, that's what I think at least has helped push the price back there. But what is more interesting is when he's elected as president of the US again, will he come back to these promises fulfilling what he's said about Bitcoin and the US government holding all Bitcoins that they have?

At some point I don't really see where all this is going because he is making it look as if he is the savior of Bitcoin that he alone can elevate it to a greater height, fine no doubt Trump loves Bitcoin and he has been in support of it, why can't he make it look different like it shouldn't be all about Bitcoin whenever he gives a speech? I think he should talk more about his political ambition, all he has to give and talk less of Bitcoin this Bitcoin that, when he wins the election then let his work show more concerning how he wants Bitcoin to look like to the other countries that don't support it. I'm not saying what he's doing isn't good to make Bitcoin be accepted all over the world but can he keep up with all these? Let's not forget all politicians are the same and they always act like they forget too soon.

Trump has no freaking idea about bitcoin or anything connected with it, he just repeated some stuff people from his team told him to say.
He tried to look smart in front of the crowd but he didn't convince me at all, his ear looked perfectly fine, but everyone already forgot all about it.
I would not trust Trump (or other politicians) and his false promises about bitcoin or anything else, stockpile my ass  Tongue

Donald Trump visit to Bitcoin conference in Nashville is big deal for Bitcoin. He thanked people there and talked about how Bitcoin started. He thinks US should be first to use this technology which means he believes in its potential. He even said Bitcoin might be more valuable than gold one day. As someone running for president this could help him get support from people who like Bitcoin. By talking about where Bitcoin came from Trump shows he knows about it. Overall his visit to conference suggests he will support Bitcoin which could help it become more popular and widely used.

Not really. He has just learned something about Bitcoin because it interests him electorally and I guess because members of his party, including the VP, have convinced him. But as Tabas and dkbit98 have said, in reality rather than a Bitcoin enthusiast he seems to have recited a speech rather prepared by others because it suits him electorally.

But I take a good reading from this. It is much better to have a candidate who is ahead in the polls saying such things.

Let me fix the name of this questionable member of human race: Donaldt Trumpst
~snip~

Most politicians are also professional liars, because that is literally in their job description - Trump is no exception, except that he is running for the office of the most powerful man in the world, and this gives him an additional incentive to be even more innovative in what he tells people.

First, he went to some kind of religious gathering and asked Christians to vote for him and promised them that they would never have to vote again after that - which means that he thinks that elections should be abolished. After that, he goes in front of a crowd of crypto fanatics and promises them that he will replace Gensler, even though he has a mandate until 2026 and cannot actually be replaced.

Lies and deception, nothing more.

He see the statistics and got an idea about using bitcoin as good front for him to catch the attention of people. He succeed since he got the attention of people and maybe their support since he is the only one politician show  a support on bitcoin. Its really crazy that once he hate bitcoin and call it a scam https://www.bbc.com/news/business-57392734

Now for seeing his activities done it really shows up that his intention is to really gather the votes of people. That's why we should not expect anything more bigger outcome of Trumps flowery word since he could just forget those things what he promise after he successfully win in the election.

More lies to come since election period is happening.

Donald Trump's skeptical views on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have stirred discussions and reactions across the financial and tech communities. While the immediate market impact of his statements might not always be clear, the broader implications of his stance are significant for several reasons.

I agree with your opinion.
People can do anything or say anything to gain power.  When the greed of power surrounds a person's head, he has no knowledge of his interests. Politicians make various promises to get power but later they never work as we have seen before and still see. I don't find Donald Trump words about cryptocurrency to be credible.

That’s the biggest question where no one can be certain about it. To be honest, I don’t see Trump’s sincerity on bitcoin. Maybe if he had been pro-bitcoin ever since, people will not doubt his sincerity, but we all know how rude he is commenting about bitcoin before, and now suddenly he’s already in love with bitcoin. So we can’t blame most of the people including myself to doubt about Trump. However, I still hope in the long run if he’ll be elected as the new US President, he will come to support and promote bitcoin all the way. That way, bitcoin and its bitcoin community will be in good hands.

Exactly.
At this point, it suits him to say what he says and it is very obvious that he has raised a lot of dust by including Bitcoin in his speeches and promises. That was the main goal.
In the end, everything he proposed, he certainly does not directly make a decision, so everything can be considered as political speculation.

Trump is invite in bitcoin 2024 in Nashville where he thanks lots of people to be part of the conference where he also discuss bitcoin and also tell a story where it started, he also told that US should be the first to use the technology because if it other countries will be the one to use it, with this statement I'm very sure this will boost the community, he also say that it might surpass gold in the future, as a candidate this will also help him, but showing up in this conference this means he will likely support bitcoin.
he did not say exactly bitcointalk but he said it posted anonymously in an internet message board which is bitcointalk pretty sure about that.

Don’t get too carried away by the promises of Donald Trump for bitcoin when he’s given the position of the president of the United States. Politicians will sweet talk everything just to get followers and people to vote for them during elections. He has good prospect for this country and with the coming of bitcoin which everyone awaits his determination in his speech. Nothing much should be expected from him until he does what he has promised and put everything to action when he becomes the president of USA. Political promises are not some things I want to get myself involved in, because they’re the first downfall of you if you fail to fulfill them as promised.
