I have been curious lately about how one can have a first-hand knowledge about good crypto events before they go viral and how to know what is being planned. I have heard about some after they have gone out for a while and I feel there is a way you guys go about it, just lucky enough to have heard of the 300,000 tokens airdrop ongoing and I want to know how to get those ICOs and IDOs before they announce their first listing to the public, please how do I effectively go about this?
The essay way of getting full updates about the crypto aspect is by join the difference of platforms also fellow the the cryptocurrencies groups is through there you can get the information in how the crypto operates, and again if you also want get the knowledge this is right time for you to create enough time for yourself and do more research for to lean what ever about the crypto market.

Furthermore, and if you’re fellow some of the influence or channels you have to watch well , because there the scams are full in every platform now, that if you didn’t know the types of groups to fellow will go and fellow the scams groups and that’s is good for everyone that is into crypto to verify the some information well before going to click the unknown links.

Just news online particularly in crypto-related outlets, twitter (X), reddit (sometimes), google, and in this forum, basically most are on social media. In social media contents with the same interest like yours will show due to personalization of data and contents.

Just take a look on Twitter. That is where you will hear the news first.

Or use Cointelegraph or Coindesk. I prefer Coindesk.
Only if you follow those accounts, so better to do so if not yet followed.

I can suggest you some websites from where you can get cryptocurrency related updates.

1. CoinDesk
2. CoinTelegraph

You can check their websites regularly or follow their social media for updates.
Thank you.

Where did you get the information about the 300,000 token? That can be your source of information because not all coins or token’s information is been shared on most of the news platforms been shared to you in the comment section.
X can be a good source of information for crypto updates and events if you are following good crypto influencer and some news channels like coindesk, coin telegraph, Bitcoin news, Binance, and other exchanges and crypto experts; but make sure you always verify the information you got from the right source. You can always bring it to this forum for more confirmation.

I think Op is talking about this event https://www.bitget.com/events/activities/6ee22705d36252f1a7a1522750ea6f5b?color=black
I came across it too while i was scrolling through X.

I know you are referring to the promotional event for the distribution of 300,000 hot tokens by a certain exchange platform. However, if you are interested in these events announced by centralized exchange platforms, you should follow their official social media accounts and enable notifications to receive updates on every new event they launch.

Update: It is clear that the OP is feigning ignorance and that this question was one of the strategies to promote a CEX platform to attract people to this event. However, everyone should avoid blind trust in any CEX and not be swayed by these promotional events, as they are likely to be unprofitable and carry significant risks.
Indeed this is a promotional marketing strategy in disguise to attract customers to use their exchanges, As More and more people are becoming very aware about the risks or dangers involved in keeping funds on any centralized centralized exchanges, I kind of think the rate at which people now use centralized exchange has decreased, now people has now preferred self custody.

I think there is a lot of changes in crypto during and after the last bull run. I'm not sure if you are going to get adequate informations as they were dropped. IDOs and ICOs are things of the past, I'm not even sure if there were much number of fundraising from projects this season like the previous ones. Most of the previous ones disappointment them and I think bonding curve is meme is what people put there money on this time and it's risky, wouldn't advice you do it.

I will say you should buy and stick to the normal ways of buying listed coins to hold but if you are looking for a quick way to make money which is more risky, Keep your eyes on ICO holder and ICOmarket for some new projects that are having funding going on. You can also be checking Aidrop dot IO, some projects that offer free aidrop are ways of making awareness about new projects and coins before listing but do your own research properly.

These are usually learned through word of mouth. So I guess I'd say be part of crypto communities. Choose the ones that suit your need. Correspond and develop friendship with other members. Sooner or later, you'd find yourself in the right groups. At least this was how I did it years ago when hunting for airdrops and ICOs were at their most glorious moments.

If I may add, be generous. Do your part. Contribute something. Make yourself an asset to the communities you're part of. Many groups are comprised mostly of parasites.

I have since left this kind of interest. It seems it's more difficult now to earn well from it, but I'm sure there are still gems out there. Good luck!

The OP is one of them, because if you had read all the posts in the topic, you would have understood why he opened this topic and asked a specific question. Desperate shills use all sorts of methods to try and promote their junk - don't fall for cheap tricks.

You can use CoinMarketCal for this kind of scheduled events https://coinmarketcal.com but you should be careful about airdrops and ICO (IEO or IDO) because they are often a waste of time, but sometimes they can also lead to a waste of money too. For the general news I mostly use cryptopanic personally https://cryptopanic.com because it allows me to quickly see what are the most important news of the day.
As a side note, Coinmarketcap(nothing to do with CoinmarketcaL) is also listing some airdrops, ICOs and events https://coinmarketcap.com/airdrop/ , https://coinmarketcap.com/ico-calendar/ , https://coinmarketcap.com/events/
