If you have the means, you can buy any coin you want; there is no such thing as rich or poor cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is a large, legitimate coin with a higher market capitalization than other coins. You can buy the one you can afford, even if it is 30% of your wage, and one day you will reach 1 BTC because the price fluctuates, and if you are patient enough to buy gradually, you will attain your goal. Solona is also a coin, however you can't merge them with bitcoin because they're not even close to each other. Invest in bitcoin first before investing in another coin like Solona you mentioned.

From my last check I believe Bitcoin is still accessible by everyone irrespective of what country you are purchasing from be it poor or rich person can still purchased it. That's coming from a true newbie, no doubt, but you also have to know that Bitcoin is not for the rich alon but for every crypto enthusiast. Trying to put a divide between projects isn't a smart move, it doesn't make one better and the other worse, it makes them battle each other and not have inclusion. With this method, people who like SOL would sell their BTC and buy SOL, which is what OP wants and that's great, but you could make people who like BTC end up selling their SOL and keep their BTC.

Now, of course people won't do that just based on some bitcointalk forum post, why would they but if this logic got bigger and everyone said it and like it was some sort of competition, then it wouldn't help anyone. Learn from ETH, it became second biggest because it was the second biggest suggestion after bitcoin, everyone kept both btc and eth, which is how it grew.

But you necessary don't have to afford 1btc before you can own some, just buying some fraction little by little you can accumulate as much btc as your financial strength can get you, that's why the DCA method is there for mostly the average investors. Solana being for everybody isn't a problem but my concerns are will it make the investor profits hodling for a long term like a decade from now, and what are the guarantee since it's an altcoin. Some alta are perfect for short term alone and not every investor wants to invest for short term, and this is where bitcoin fits in for all both short and long target.
