Don't mine at night, you might burn down the house.

Dude, you need to set up temperature controls lol. Set it up in your batch file or config to throttle down if it reaches X degrees or shut it down entirely if it reaches Y degrees. The exact temp depends on your card; I am mostly running 290s so they can take higher temps than other cards. Of course I have never actually had them go even close to the red zone temps because I have good airflow set up.

That was what I thought would be the solution as well, who would mine with the risk of his house burning down?

Hi guys, i have around $1100 to spend on something,

so ive been thinking on buying a new miner or build a gaming pc with (AMD cards so it can mine at night)

What do you guys think i should do?

a miner wont be a problem for me since i have free electricity.

Thanks

Even if you have free electricity, IMO, it is better to buy bitcoin directly as the difficulty is rising quickly.

I dont see anything wrong to gamble like ~100$ and to spend/invest 1000$,
but Id stay away for some time from investing to btc since theyre very very unstable atm and there is a lot speculations that cryptocurrency is future but that dont mean that its btc ^^

If you dont have gaming rig already, buying one is best option. Mining altcoins when you dont playing mean all day fun - you can exchange the altcoins to Bitcoin

Always keep on investing! Got into this bitcoin thing not too long ago. By the looks of it, it's a great time to buy some. Also posting because of the beginners thing xD.

If you are still planning to go ahead with building a mining rig, I am considering downsizing a bit and could possibly sell you a few items if you're interested. I have a ton of R9 290s, 1000watt evga gold psu, etc...

Buy an ASIC?

I wouldnt advise it, esp the asic race can more then $1,100.

And you a relying on the price to go up in a short amount of time.

i think you should invest it on gold or silver since gold and silver price isnot going down its not advisable to mine at the moment because btc price is not good or buy btc at lower price

+1.
If you expect price to go up, you can and should just buy bitcoin.
