Good your power cost is really low. So even with bad prices for mining with gpus you will earn some money.

https://simplemining.net/

I use the site above to manage my rigs. I had tons and tons and tons of rigs. Sold a lot as I lost my cheap power location.

this is my rig manager

I am pointing to this pool

watch as I use the rig manager to switch that rig from kelis k1 pool to nicehash kawpow pool

Yes and I now switched to kawpow using nicehash see new photo above of the my controlling software.

below there are 2 rigs mining at nicehash. they do not earn a lot

65 cents about 35-45 cents for the 4 card rig I showed above.

they burn 350 watts which is 350 x 24 = 8400 watts for 1 rig. say 9 kwatts a day it is quiet .

9 kwatts at 3 cents = 27 cents a day
9 kwatts at 2 cents = 18 cents a day
9 kwatts at 1 cent = 9 cents a day.

it is earning maybe 45 cents minus power cost.

so 1 cent and or 2 cent even 3 cent power will turn profit. nicehash pays in BTC not kawpow

you want these mother boards

https://www.ebay.com/itm/256419491752?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/387259480958?

I do not know the sellers

but I have a ton of six card boards and eight card boards.

look for low power gpus.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/235685338090?

200-250 top price

look for 3060ti and 3070

right now you won't make a ton of money but just a small price pick up and the rigs will make good money.

A 3060ti makes maybe 20 cents
a 3070 makes maybe 25 cents with 1 cent power

if no one ships you the 6 and 8 card motherboards I certainly will.

the cards will pull around 120 watts with good settings so

a six card rig can do 800 watts which means you need 1000 watt good psu.
an eight card rig can do 1000 watts which means you need 1200 watt good psu.

also get a motherboard and just add a card at a time. don't go nuts.

Others will chime in and let you know what gpus are shit and what are good.

Avoid 3000 series nvidia with LHR if you can.

here in usa buying them from ebay is okay ebay has a good return policy.

I have no idea what protections you get in Brazil.

If you have a motherboard programmed correctly your just drop the card in and see if it works.

Simplemining is an easy management system.

Hive is also good.

The test rig  I showed in photos above has had 100 different cards in it.

Nice initiative Phil.
I really am a fan of your assistance when it comes to mining especially. I definitely hope this guy here benefits a ton from it and is able to set up his rig in no time. I hardly have an idea of any miner in my country probably due to a lot of factors of which one of the biggest is based on government regulations and policies against crypto.

Also I here, electricity cost is quite high and on a normal basis, mining is most profitable when electricity cost is much lower I guess that was the major reason you recently discontinued one of your mining farms. Anyways I'll definitely be glad if you someday do some giveaway of some mining gear hopefully I'll participate.

I Certainly will buy at least 3 rigs... but I have a problem now that I can't solve.

I simply can't get setup a miner on hiveOS. That's the problem.
I made the OS installation.. no big deal. But the worker never ..works xd

I create an account on k1pool.
I created a flight sheet to use k1pool and tried to set up CGMiner as the miner.

https://pasteboard.co/jyANTznoX9KM.png

and this is the result:

https://pasteboard.co/ivMxl2fp7KE8.png

I need to be able to setup pretty much any coin to miner in order to see "something" working before buying the rigs..
what am I missing here?

From your pictures I see that you have installed hiveOS correctly. You don't need an account on k1pool.

For example, I take a random wallet on this pool with the kaw pow algorithm
https://k1pool.com/ru/pool/clore/account/KrV4o2w1NbNMs5AxaE1YNneZbeEQDo2Abm3

Such errors occur in beginners when you change something in the miner settings.

https://miningpoolstats.stream/
Choose a coin and the best pools without accounts, a little time and you will succeed.

I think its something related to CGMiner. I changed the miner to T-rex and it worked. Now its FINALLY working... lol

I though every pool needed an account.

So...back to the rig with 10~12 GPUs, I will need:

  • 2x Power supply of 850W
  • Motherboard BTC
  • A rig Frame / something to set everything up
  • Processor + Air cooler
  • Memory (8 GB should be enough I assume)
  • SSD sata

Questions:

1. If I get any BTC motherboard, I wont need RISEs, correct?
2. I assume I will need tons of cables... any specific ones?
3. I have never turned on more than one power suplly at once. No clue how to do that
4. Same question above on how to turn more than one GPU at the same time.

Are there any newbie guides here to answer those questions?

don't build a two psu rig for your first try.

do a six card or 8 card board get familiar with running that one.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/387259480958?

these are easy to run

they have a cpu
they have ram
they can use hive os

they mount on a piece of plywood

12 card riser boards are good.

but two psu builds are meh they are easy to make a mistake

I do not know the eBay seller I picked I just looked for a board I know

is easy to run.

Why would you want to make a mining farm with 10~12 GPUs?
If you want to have sex with your mining farm instead of having sex with a girl, you're welcome to.

You will have overheating problems, you will have problems with some graphics cards shutting down after rebooting
or even shutting down your entire mining farm because of a single graphics card problem.

Take the advice of an experienced miner, it is better to build 2 mining farms with 6 video cards each.
The set for mining from MP, CPU, and memory now costs 60-70 dollars and power supply Corsair gold 1000 watt used costs 60 dollars.
