I don't really like betting in the Premier League at all, because for some unknown reason I have a lot of bad bets there, and so it is every season. There is no such bad luck with La Liga. Since as humans we lack the intellectual capacity and intelligence to know the future, we may not really be able to determine the fate of a match before it is being played. All we can do is to make inferences from the past games and the current performance of both clubs in question. I do not bet a lot but whenever I do on any sports bet, I look for previous results of the same teams (Head to head) as that's the best indicator.
And you can also look for the current win streak or performance by the team in the league, if they are doing good, and also have a better H2H, you go with it.

If you bet on two games at 2.0 odds a muti will get you 4x wins, if you bet on 8 games on 1.5 the multiplier is 25!
A far closer comparison would be 4x for 2 games at 2.0 vs 3.3x for 3 games at 1.5, and this is quite close.

Well, you are right. While I mostly agree with your opinion, there are always things that you can avoid or pursue in gambling to avoid losses and achieve better returns. For instance, I used to bet on matches that were a "guaranteed" win but featured extremely low odds, ranging from 1.10 to 1.30. This resulted in more losses in the long run, because for one match that didn't result as I anticipated, I had to win two or three others to recoup my losses. This slowly drained my bankroll and trust me, there were quite a few times those "guaranteed" matches didn't turn out the way I was hoping for.
