To me Donald Trump seems like a very ignorant person about bitcoin as far as actually using it, having a bitcoin wallet and doing transactions. I don't know if that's actually the case but he comes across like that to me. Not sure about his son.

Well... While he says "be a DeFi" without being specific, I will say "be a Bitcoiner" because adopting reputable and potential valuable coin as Bitcoin is the attractiveness of DeFi potentially aimed to restore and sustain our economy values against the threats in the future.

Ah yes, they're making their moves now, it seems that they already know what they're doing with this one and it's really cool to see that Jr. is in on it with his father in trying to gain the support of a lot of people that's on the fence right now about the election. I have been mentioning this many times in the forum already. These politicians will only be witnessed as serious on being procrypto if they do these 4 items if a candidate either Trump or Harris wins the presidency.

1. They will stop their cases against Uniswap and Coinbase.
2. The SEC will create clear guidelines in what is an illegal security and what is a commodity.
3. They create new KYC rules because their old rules have been difficult for the people in the cryptospace.
4. They will stop treating the Tornado Cash founders and other developers of privacy software very much like criminals.

I was excited in the beginning on Trump, however, when the hype began to disappear and when he began to mentioned that it is a possibility that America's national debt will be paid through bitcoin, I am beginning to speculate his seriousness on the cryptospace.

Donald Trump recently called an emergency news conference, and people suspect that he is disappointed with his rating in several polls. Maybe his campaign team is beginning to step up their strategies. So, his son is also putting his effort into promoting his father as pro-crypto by making this declaration about decentralized finance being the future. On the other hand, the Trump family is known to be passionate business people who can do anything, both legally or illegally, for money. It could also be that he wants to set up a project for profit-making. My fingers are crossed for Trump Jr.'s next move.

Don't hold your breath. This is just advertisement campaign for the upcoming election. This particular candidate's team has decided that the crypto community has some small number of votes they want to have so they are going to continue with their nonsense everywhere telling all kinds of lies that may fool some brainless people in the community to vote for their candidate because of those lies.

Otherwise anyone with half a brain knows that what is referred to as DeFi is just another fancier name for the same scam that started with ICOs. Create a 100% useless token and sell it to people to raise money, then call it whatever you want: ICO or DeFi or even Ordinals which is not even a token

Of course it was and it still is. Trump is trying to get as many people from the undecided camp of voters to vote for him and not his opponent. His team realized that there are many votes to be won by presenting him as pro-bitcoin and pro-crypto. How many Bitcoin conferences did he visit in his lifetime before his campaign started? 0, right? How many pro-bitcoin/crypto bills and laws did he propose or sign during his first presidency? I am guessing 0. And the same is probably true about anything that improves the anonymity of the taxpayers.   

Let's not kid ourselves here. He is certainly better than Genocide Joe, but men in power aren't interested in helping you gain more freedom and independence, be it financially or in any other way.

We will never know whether he is truly pro-crypto until this election is over, it is too hasty to draw conclusions at this point.

I can only confirm one thing to you, the fact that he is selling NFTs is real. Regarding the allegations of memecoins like DJT or MAGAA, the community only suspects and makes a few theories, but no one has specific evidence to prove they are related to Barron Trump. According to the news OP received, a memecoin will be released, but as far as I know, this project is called “Trump” but is a defi platform.

The nature of politicians is cunning, willing to do anything just to achieve their goals, Trump or Harris are no exceptions. We should not rely too much on them or trust them too much.

At times like this, when the bull run is around the corner, that's when you will see well-known personalities or politicians trying to lure investors into investing in a project they have so many financial gains on. You don't see a politician or any influential being promoting a coin, without any hiding agenda to it, financial gains.

I think this is another way for Donald Trump Jr. to use the given opportunity of his dad contesting for USA president and supporting Bitcoin as an advantage presented for itself to launch his memecoin to that. He will easily have many investors in the crypto space who would like to invest because of how his father, "Trump," is supporting Bitcoin of late. It is most likely that if he launches a memecoin, it will soar and attract many investors as his father would soon be the president of America. This is what I think, should be Trump Jr thought on the soon-to-be-launch memecoin
