I don't have any gambling disorders that I know of; at least I'm in control of my actions and decisions in my gambling activities, but I have lied to my parents and a few friends about my gambling activities once or twice when I was too afraid to boldly tell someone that I used money to gamble.
 
This was because back then I had not yet started making my own money and was surviving on my parents' support. As someone who has access to my dad's provision shop, boldly telling someone that I play bets can give the wrong impression, as it can easily be misinterpreted that I stole from my dad's business to fund my gambling life.

I never lied but I do have persistent migraine which I keep telling with my partner. I just take some paracetamol whenever the pain arising and do some rest but not to the point that I lied since my partner will be worried sick if I don’t disclose the cause.

Aside from migraine, the lack of sleep sometimes is my problem whenever I gamble late while my game resulted to huge loss/win. The excitement and regrets whichever the result keeps me awake.

I saw a documentary about this, one gambler was too irate every time he went home after losing money from the casino. He shouts at his son seeing there's dirt on the porch. Just very simple things that he normally just ignores when he goes home from work. He normally wouldn't mind if the TV is on while his son is in the backyard but if he goes home after losing some money, these simple things are very intolerable and he will shout at his son for that.

It must be true for most gamblers. Since he isn't who admitted this. There are several more which I guess is normal for gamblers to have this disorder.

What will most likely happen is that gamblers will have a gambling disorder but they will not let their family know about it. Only what can be used to notice that someone is suffering from gambling addiction is when the person that is addicted has lost huge amount of money to the point that his or her family will know  that the money was lost due to gambling. They will have the gambling disorder symptoms but they know how they will handle it.

Perhaps taking a candid and well rested break will help resolve such malady that is as a result of excess gambling.
I know how harmful to a relationship such exposed truth will cause, mostly as it is a result of gambling and worrying about the outcome or having to loose much more than anticipated.

Well, from way back when I started gambling, I've never developed any gambling disorder, and even to this present time, I don't have any gambling disorder, so, there is definitely not one or a thing about disorder to lie about to a spouse, parents, doctor or lawyer as you listed..

And by the way, I find this question to be a very odd one, are things OK with you bud? You know you can always share your issues with the community here is at all, there is something going on with you that you don't want the people of the outside world to know about.
But also understand that it's not everything that can be kept as a secret, there are some serious issues that when it comes up, one must have no other choice but to speak up and call for help, if you good, then I guess you understand what I mean.

I wouldn't think of lying about the symptoms of the disease I experienced, especially to my family, but maybe I didn't tell them what the cause was if it was because of gambling. Many gamblers are restless every time they go to sleep because of their high illusion of winning. I have experienced this symptom when my desire to gamble was still very high. Difficulty sleeping, daydreaming, imagining big wins or some other things are things that gambling addicts often experience, but it doesn't make sense to lie if you are really sick.

Fortunately I have never been in the situation in which I have needed to lie about having gambling as a little hobby of mine, because I don't have descendants/children to take care of or spouse. Though, there was a little incident which I have personally witnesses some years ago, a family member of mine (who was indeed having some problems with dices) had to lie to their mother because he had lost an important amount of money while throwing dices on the internet. It was especially noticeable because those were time of crisis and he had lost around 50$, which was an important amount of money in that context, in which food was getting scarse.

Hopefully, when I get married and have children I will continue to have this hobby completely under control and have no need to lie about it.

Previously, I had never experienced any disorders as mentioned in the topic that made my condition uncomfortable or other things that made me have to go to the doctor. I always consider gambling as an additional activity when I'm not busy, every round that passes I consider it just for fun, whatever the result does not make me stressed. Lying or hiding health would be a time bomb in my opinion, if the symptoms are not too serious, I would try to buy medicine to overcome it. Usually these symptoms arise due to gambling for too long or sleeping too late, this can be prevented by gambling responsibly regarding finances and health.

My gambling disorder is that I get aggressive after a huge loss to whoever steps on my toe and that moment and I will pour my aggression on that person as if he is the cause of my loss. I was like that when I was addicted by I control it now because I gamble responsible.

You are gambling for profit and you need to limit the amount and hours that you are using when gambling to avoid addiction, or go on a break.

I have been gambling for long now and I have never had any issues within myself neither have even deviate from my way of gambling or becoming so carried away in way that I can't control my feelings thought and ways of gambling. I don't get migraine just because of gambling, it may happen because you are too long at the gambling board, monitor, or screen of your cell phone, or worse you have a big loss in gambling that causes you headache. LOL

I've never lied about it because I've never had a migraine from gambling, but other lies I've done, such as using money that I shouldn't have used for gambling, and luckily enough I was believed and I just said the money was used to treat friends.

My advice, never lie, once you try and feel safe, lying will also lead to addiction, addiction to lying for example, it becomes a bad habit.

I have lied that am not a gambler and my parents believed me except my uncle because I was very much closer to him. However it's just that I do gamble online so non of them sees me gambling. Although I didn't stated gamble at early age that's why my uncle didn't react even when he noticed that I am gambling.

It's ok to lie to your wife and parents... when we're younger lying to our parents is normal, we've all done it (more or less). I have never lied to my wife, but there are all kinds of marriages... And you never lie to a doctor or a lawyer. It's simple, the more honest you are, the better help they can provide. If you lie to them you can just get into deeper problems. And you are protected by their confidentiality, so just be straight with them if you really wish them to help you with something.

I gamble more since ever and I never felt any disorder... maybe in the morning when I wake up I have "flashes" from the night before (that includes more than just gambling ), but after the first strong coffee all that disappears and I am ready for the next round. If someones have migraines or some other consequences from gambling should stop gambling and look for some other fun, just a piece of friendly advice.

I don't have a gambling disorder that makes me lie to other people. So far my gambling activity is still normal and I can still control it well. However, I see that usually the disorder that someone feels when they start gambling more is that they tend to be more aggressive and have difficulty controlling their emotions. They are very easy to feel happy and sad, and then they will act aggressively when other people try to forbid or disturb them when gambling. This kind of gambling disorder is the most common one I encounter from someone who gambles more, and it could be worse if they have entered the addiction stage.

Never have lied to my wife about my gambling games but I only tell her about my winning moments.
Now, when it comes to disorder, I think the worst that I have felt was the eyesore and the kneeache. Well, that's because I am also working from home which most of the time needs to be in front of the computer and I rarely stand when I start.
I think ever since I worked from home a lot of things have changed in my body and I am also having a hard time walking for longer minutes. It's not just gambling for me but it has been part of what I do every day so I guess it's also to blame because instead of using that time to exercise or do something else, gambling makes me stick to my chair just to watch my spins.

You are irresponsible and immature if you still lie.

If you lie about a gambling disorder that you've noticed in yourself since you started gambling, the lie is an indication that you are becoming an addicted gambler because you have not been able to accept within you that gambling is harmful for you. You're only doing yourself harm because that is the first indication that you do not need help or want to change.

I didn't have any problems or psychological disorders (gambling addiction) related to gambling, but during this activity I had an unpleasant feeling that I was wasting my time and money in a very unproductive way. I was also irritated by the wait for the results of the slot machine, which seemed very long, although it took only a few seconds.

I didn't have any disorders resulting from gambling that forced me to lie and I believe that if any activity (like gambling in this case) causes a disorder or a migraine, then at least this type of activity should be paused. At least for the period of recovery of normal health. You should not lie about such disorders, and especially not to doctors who could help with overcoming this problem.

gambling disorder in particular I have never experienced. let alone hide it from the closest people. maybe the simplest thing I experience when playing more gambling is feeling very tired. that's because I spend a lot of my break time gambling in front of the screen.
I don't consider fatigue as a disorder of gambling, although it also eventually has an impact on my body but it won't have a very significant impact on me. I just need to rest and forget about my gambling.
