Present, I am one of them!  

But I'm curious—has it ever crossed your mind to consider becoming a professional gambler, someone who makes a living out of it and enjoys a life of financial freedom?

Nope.
I am doing this all for fun and a bit of profiting. I am not chasing huge profits, all I want is to see my stats more of wins than losses. But I can't do that sometimes because losing is really part of gambling. It didn't crossed my mind to become a professional gambler, all I want is to be free and bet any time I want and won't have any issues financially.

I just don't have any thoughts of becoming a professional gambler - I just play for fun and that's it, no plans whatsoever. Moreover, becoming a professional gambler is not an easy thing and can be achieved by all gamblers, it requires not only hard work, but also a good strategy, and several other things. So I don't see that I have a chance to become that and I am more realistic to just have fun without thinking about anything else.

So, most of us here don't have big dreams of becoming professional gamblers. Well, I can say that's good because you know your limits. Maybe it's better to take your talents elsewhere since it's a fact that it's really hard to achieve real success in gambling. Some people have won big jackpots, like winning the lottery, but gambling regularly and expecting consistent wins is almost impossible.

We have to be realistic here. I mean, we're the only ones who can truly assess whether we're capable of winning consistently. Just like me, I've been gambling for many years, and while I can't deny that I've had fun overall, in terms of profit, I know I've never been up in the long run.

Are there even professional gamblers in the literal sense of the word? The only ones I know who can earn really large sums of money are professional poker players (in tens of millions of $), but I don't know of anyone who plays roulette or slots professionally, because the chances of you having a regular income in such games are practically non-existent.

And this raises a very important question in my head, and the question is, is it really possible to have and enjoy a life of financial freedom through gambling? And I personally answer or reponse would be that it's possible but absolutely rare to happen, that is, find someone who depends only gambling and is enjoying a life that is completely free from any financial problems and worries.

Anyways, for me, I've never thought of becoming a professional gambler, and this may be because gambling is not really my thing, I gamble mostly as a way to just have fun, and even though I am always interested in making money off the activity, the money isn't always a priority for me, I enjoy the game regardless of the outcome.
I can never think of or consider becoming a professional gambler, because there are greater plans I have for myself and my future, gambling is not a job or a thing or activity that should be depended on.

What comes in my mind is professional gambler is the profession who can earn a lot of money and life with the glamority because i have seen who can be called as professional gambler can gets huge money especially after being an the champion of the particular big tournaments such as world poker series so sometimes it makes me inspired really want to be like them
But i do realize that seems that's impossible for me to be like them because i believe to being an professional gambler is very required talent and i have to says i don't have those talent so that's why i am not thinking of making gambling as a profession and only gambling for fun

If you're a newbie who has a good start in gambling, it is very tempting to do that, but once you find out the harsh reality of gambling, your mindset will change because if there is a group of gamblers who can really make money from betting, then many will try to make a living out of it.
Casinos and experts have been warning people only to gamble or bet an amount they are capable of losing because winning is not guaranteed in gambling.

No, never lol. I don't even know what metric you'd even have to use to judge whether you can become one or not. At least in sports, both eSports and regular sports in general there's a skill metric. In gambling though, how well you'd bluff? I'd probably prefer doing some scammy-type social engineering stuff than gamble.

No, I never thought or intended to become a professional gambler or someone who makes a living from gambling. That would be disastrous for me in the long run if I continue this habit. Although I’ve been playing for years, if I ever win big, I’m going to quit gambling and focus on long-term trading. It’s just that I haven’t reached that moment yet.

Definitely not,of all things to be professional at it's not gambling I should be cause there's nothing so tangible or achievable in it rather than the fun you get while doing so and it's very necessary to do that with what you can afford to lose and why will one choose gambling to be a profession? Because you want to earn a living out of it? It literally doesn't make any good sense at all.

You'll generate losses remember,big time setbacks sometimes your little wins might make you not to remember your making losses in it but cause you just have to keep it going you smack it off and keep gambling...no I won't advice anyone out there or here to find themselves in such situations knowing fully well how  the outcome is and there's no financial freedom in gambling,it's just bent on luck.

From my point of view, it's impossible to live from gambling, casinos have a house edge and that means they will win in the long run, and if they win that means we lose.

A professional gambler is a complex term, i feel like professional gamblers are the ones who find a bug in the system, those who find the way to put the odds on their side and with that make high profit, a good example is phil ivey, what he did with the poker cards memorizing the texture and winning against the casino makes him a professional gambler for sure.

But a professional gambler is totally different than a lucky gambler.

I humbly think that the idea of turning professional and attaining financial independence is rather exciting, but fraught with serious challenges and risks. Casino success might be dependent on talent and technology, yet it requires a great deal of humility; hence, it is an untenable career choice. . . . . . but the financial instability associated with gambling, including the potential for huge losses, can lead to uncertainty and depression while in addition, the employee dissatisfaction can lead to emotional and psychological problems such as anxiety and possible dissatisfaction. In my country, but I think that it will also happens in other countries, too, law and legal considerations are also crucial because gambling standards differs according to their power but it could be a challenge, yet manageable, to find related career paths into the world of gambling or to take gambling up as a hobby for people interested in the gambling world. Though financial freedom through gambling may be alluring, I do believe that a need arises to take a serious look at the risks and to weigh alternative ways toward achieving such financial goals. Can expertise be gained in games that do not involve skills?

 Can someone be a professional or expert in playing luck-based games? because I think a gambler can become a professional or expert gambler only when they play skill-based games where with time, they witness their skill level increase to an extent where they have more wins than loss on those skill-based games.

Sounds impossible but there are really people who do really be able to make a living with gambling but most of the time it is really that not something a gambler or bettor could really be able to do so.
This one would really be involving having that expertise on something specially on sports betting or into those people who are really that too good or sustaining when they do play poker
or any other card games. This is why it would really be that possible that they could really be making a living and this is what other gamblers or bettors or to those people who involved with gambling
generally on which they are really that trying out to achieve such condition on which we know that this isnt something that would really be that simple.

In my case then i wont really be having those kind of plans on achieving such goal or target specially on doing gambling. I've been doing gambling or betting for years now but i dont see myself
to be that having those kind of targets on trying out to become that profitable or sustainable and this is something that you should really be that careful on what you are trying out to achieve.
We do know that when it comes to this aspect then tons of gamblers who do really mess up their lives instead on attaining these goals on which it is really that close to impossible.

However I would not like to become a professional gambler because I don't see my self dream of it before now and I don't think I will have a thought of becoming a professional gambler in future.

Obviously no, I pledge to myself I will never try to gamble for living even I hit a jackpot, win lotteries etc that make me earn life changing money.

I don't want to be a professional gambler since it's risky and I always treat gambling as an entertainment, not a way to make money. If I change my view gambling as a way to make money, I will not enjoy gamble anymore since I always looking for money.

I love betting in sports, especially the NBA but I never even once tried to be a professional gambler and think about winning all games based on deep research and effort. I mean, I have a job and I want to keep the sports that I love as unpredictable as it can be. The fun is right there when you are guessing which team will win.
I think being a professional gambler will consume a lot of time and for a person who has a stable job it might cost him that job too if he keeps on focusing on gambling only.
This is possible to do but the financial stability should be there and you must have a lot of savings so that if everything goes south you will have a fallback.

No, I don't have a goal to be a professional gambler in the future because that can makes me get addicted to gambler and I can lose much money. It is better to uses gambling for have fun and enjoy the gambling games without have any goals in gambling so I don't have to get any problem from gambling. We will difficult to makes a living out from gambling as gambling is not a job so we must understand that we must stay away from that.

If you really want to try, you should think how much money you will use because that will be a lot of money you need to use to playing gambling without knowing when you can win. Becoming a professional gambler is difficult because someone must learn many things especially about controlling himself, limitation and many other things.

If I may be honest, it never crossed my mind. but if I imagine getting a very fantastic win, I think every gambler has ever fantasized about it. there are several factors why I don't think about becoming a professional gambler, in the sense of making a living from gambling. maybe cultural and belief factors are the closest, that's why it never crossed my mind to become a professional gambler. although if it can be said that we also learn to be able to gamble properly and correctly, like professional gamblers. I mean, because gambling contains risks in it, knowledge about gambling is a very important part. we are even willing to take the time to learn various methods for betting strategies, whatever the form of the game, besides the experience factor also plays a role when we do a gambling session. back to the OP's question, do I have a goal to become a professional gambler. well, not for now. but we will all agree, if winning bets is one of the goals of gambling.
