Film industry attack on cryptocurrency

I have seen this happening in at least three recent movies where main characters are refusing payment in crypto and additionally calling it scam/bullshit.
In one of the movies (can't remember the title) "hackers" told they don't want any crypto bullshit scam, they want payment in gold (LOL).

Below is an example from The Instigators (2024) I have watched yesterday (movie sucked):

For me it just shows a display of ignorance, because someone who understands crypto too well will not for any reason say such about it, they know to a very good extent that crypto is not a scam scheme tho it's sad that some scammers have gotten access and are using it s a medium but it still doesn't make it factual that the concept of crypto is scam.

Although movies are made from fictional stories but it takes a lot of hard work and time to match reality.  Many people want to invest in gold and many people want to invest in Bitcoin it's just a change of person. Only those who live in the updated and modern era will be able to invest in Bitcoin, because investing in Bitcoin can provide many times more benefits than gold. And the longer term bitcoin investment is more profitable, so I think bitcoin investment is 100% better and safer and more beneficial than gold investment. Bitcoin is the best coin ever.

Bitcoin is constantly under attack from different sides, but so is free speech.
Do you remember how youtube was demonetizing videos that mentioned the pandemic, or used the word covid? How google was limiting your ability to search for crypto related sites?
Do you remember the smear campaign they launched to make people think bitcoin is bad for the environment?
Nowadays they're trying to put people who say something they don't want to be said in jail. For instance in the UK they want to make social media companies to police content and arrest people responsible for something that they call misinformation. This means that if you don't believe in the government narrative and express that in social media, you may be arrested. In other words, if we have covid and they say vaccines are safe, but you tell people they are not, you're going to get silenced.
Bitcoin is something they fear because if you hold BTC they cannot freeze your accounts and starve you, like they did to protesters in Canada. Protect your freedom!

How many BTC movies have you watched OP?

The last one I watched was a Korean movie where the protagonist is regretting buying stocks instead of Bitcoin, he was watching the TV with his grandma and the new broke out that the stock he invested in is done and dead, but Bitcoin was pumping hard at the time.

He was left behind, his friends bought BTC and he choose to go with a new stock, I think you should look more into some BTC movies, I mean there are many others that are good, mind you it shouldn't matter if they hail BTC in the movie or they belittle the innovation, movies are different from the real life.

That's was exactly my point in my earlier post in this topic, bitcoiners should stop being sulky all the time when people do not believe in our network, i am a pro-bitcoiner, but everyone cannot be. There have been movies that promoted BTC and some would do the opposite, yeah they are wrong about what they think about BTC, but there is no need to call them out and give their story more popularity.

It takes some time (I don't want to throw numbers, but it's certainly significant) from one idea to getting a proper script and then an actual movie.
This being said, they simply throw in the mainstream ideas/preconceptions from... just a few years back.
Nothing special, imho.

Give it some more years so the scripts that are written after the ETFs going live become movies you can watch, and then bitcoin should start be seen in a much better light.

I don't even see this as a problem, a lot of things are said and done in movies and only foolish people run with all of them.
My problem with the movies regarding Bitcoin is that they mostly only use it to accept illegal funds. It can be a terrorist group making a demand or kidnappers or blackmailing, it doesn't matter, the point is most of the time people make payments with Bitcoin in movies usually to accept illicit funds. They may not be doing this purposefully but I believe that leaves a bad mark for bitcoin on those who don't know what it's about. I've always thought about this, but since I can do nothing about it, I don't dwell on it that much.
