Unfortunately, that danger exists just like there is a possibility to perform a double spend for any other unconfirmed transaction.

The casino would, in that case, lose the money they would have otherwise made from that player. At the same time, they are not losing any of their own money.
They do actually. They profit from stakes, a lost wager is already the casinos reward. Losing that is losing their own money.
If a player did a double spend, the casino should ban them and blacklist anything they know about the person, like their IP, device used, etc.
There can also be a case of a player who uses poor fee estimation due to ignorance and lost a bet, but the transaction remains pending for several days. There is no proof yet that the user has an intention to scam but it creates a business problem.
If a casino uses this method, they need to have a suggested feerate that should be used to allow a bet to be placed without the need for any confirmation and this should be a rate that gets it confirmed within a few minutes.
