I get your point that having nuclear weapon means that no other country can easily mess with you because they know that you have the capacity to be a threat to them too. There are lots of countries in the world that are very secured and safe to live in who don't have nuclear weapons and massive militaryartillery. Most of these weapons where used during the first and the second world war and ever since the world has not had any reason why they should be using them again. Nuclear weapons are weapons of mass destruction which the world has over time said it should not be used as weapon against humanity, even the crisis rocking Russia and Ukraine I don't think Russia has launched any nuclear attack on Ukraine because nuclear weapons has been declared persona non grata against humanity.

The only reason why countries like North Korea and Iran have not been turned into the puppet of the West is because of their military might. If a nation is unwilling to be controlled by world powers, they have to be threatening others or develop military capabilities.
