Almost certainly in countries that are considered reliable attract more businesses and establish stronger budgets if their policies are clear, transparent, and inexpensive because they are placed on it. Judging from your list, some of the countries considered most reliable are Denmark, New Zealand, and Switzerland, and yes I know these countries are known for being stable, transparent, and their good governance. On the other hand, Somalia, Syria, and Venezuela have credible problems, born of instability, war, and governance issues that can isolate them from building sustainable trade and economic relationships but I don't want to be so guilty of that it just happened. U.S. plays an important role internationally, for geopolitical reasons and various national factors, it is sometimes apparently credible. With increased confidence, trade relations would be stronger and international relations and economic cooperation would be stronger.

Swiss Bank assisted some criminal politicians in laundering millions of dollars to Switzerland. I am sure the bank knew that those funds were stolen, but they decided to shield corrupt politicians.

Trust is reliability on something,when your in business with another what makes you gain trust for such business or person is the fact that it is reliable and dependable,cause you can't put trust on something that's not dependable and reliable.

The country should have the rule of law, so that you can actually rely on what's in the legislation and on existing legal procedures. It should also be economically advanced and politically stable enough so that you don't need to worry about your business being hijacked, robbed, physically destroyed, etc. But also, since business is profit-oriented, the amount of taxes you need to pay and bureaucratic difficulty of doing that are also very important.

Your conclusion is obvious. Trust is very hard to build and very easy to lose, it takes decades or even centuries to grow. You'll find many of the least trusted countries are affected by either religious strife and/or politicians who are only ever interested in enriching themselves. You often have to offer something valuable so your trust can be tested, looking at Switzerland for example - it grew a banking reputation that essentially hid money for all sorts of people but maybe not in the best interests of the world. Norway and other Scandinavian countries definitely have a different mentality that involves more sharing, plus they thought longer term when it came to natural resources and who should make money from them.

Well trust is really important if your country is trusted then there are a lot of business company coming in and make a business and it makes a lot of opportunities, many people will have a work and get a good salary, and it will really help, while if your country is not trusted because of some corrupt politicians and there's a lot of crime then there will be no business coming.

You can work for those countries that you think that are less trusted for them to become trusted by other countries. I mean, the people are trustworthy but the government or the current reigning government of them are not. South Sudan during the Olympics have surprised the world for their basketball team. They've got the potential and they're able to reach that far. They have no good basketball courts in their countries and yet, they are able to win during the qualifiers and able to compete there and that's what sports is bringing us all. I agree with your point on switzerland, but as far as i know, they have taken steps towards transparency and slowly ending their corporate secrecy of their banks. And since OP didn't even clarify what he means by "trust", it might have been something different, like trust of their citizens towards their own country. Trust from everyone requires not just transparency but auditability and accountability.

I think it is possible to be bought if both parties are corrupt. One example is a casino paying a review site to post positive feedbacks about them. There are still services who started out to be legit and people can trust them right away because they can also feel it and if the company sustains it in the long run, the confidence of their customers are only going to get stronger.

Apart from trust we also want the service, so sometimes even if we are lacking in researched we can't help but to use the service immediately. About the criteria for a country to get picked as the most trusted, like you I also think it's about their government if it's corrupt or not, and then secondly; is if these countries have unsettled debts or not. There must only be a mistake there when the OP included Switzerland in the list.
