Yes my clear example is the gold that many knows will continue to have value and yet we still see it been traded today. Bitcoin been profitable is all about it been traded that is the demand is very much high and as we go on the mining of its decreases which signifies scarcity the demand will increase while the supply will decrease which will ll be its reason for continuous price increase. Yes as people find out that there is profit in holding they will hold more but that won’t stop its trading which is what you meant by if it will be profitable. It will still be traded because everyone will have there own price target to take profit and there for there will always be sellers but the holders would be more making it more precious and profitable.

Actually, I've always thought there are more people hodling as oppose to using it. A lot of the known whales have been hodling for years and even the big bags who has been mass selling recently have at least hodl'd their BTC for a good amount of time. In addition, I don't remember how many post about urging us to use more btc and don't just hodl I've seen across crypto communities lol. But maybe we've had more paper hands over the years. I think there won't be much volatility then too. If we've to judge Bitcoin by what's happening to its volatility now in comparison to what it did in 2017/18 when volatility was off the hook. There’s also leverage trading than can help to increase your profitability even with small movement on price which means a Bitcoin hodler can still enjoy profitability in the future even with small changes in price if they are willing to leverage their holdings in exchange for more Bitcoin profit.

The profitability of bitcoin is not determined by holding it, but rather depends on people's faith in the future growth of this financial asset.
