Those that will store in the future will be those that will not sell any time soon or maybe when they finalize they want to sell thwm, they will send it to an exchange, one of the reasons they will want to keep it in an exchange is because they want to keep their assets self not your keys not your coin, that should be one of the reasons and since they are holding for a very long time, wallet will be the best place for them to actually keep their wallet. Bitcoin will not cease to be profitable as long as people are bidding to buy and sell it, Bitcoin is highly speculative asset, News bad or good has an impact on the price, every long term holder has their target price to sell their shares, even if the holder has been holding his Bitcoin for 5 years he will eventually sell it because of the volatility of the market and for fear that he will have to wait longer for his targeted profit when its already in front of him.

I believe as long as people are holding their bitcoins then the price will only keep rising.
At some point a vast majority of the world population will be holding bitcoin.
But bitcoin holders need to be diverse and as many people hold bitcoin the lesser risk it would be if a whale dumps their coins.
This is why a single entity should not be holding a lot of bitcoins because that would create a panic in the market when they start selling.
