Well that's the point, or what it means if for example from the start the person knows that his success in winning the jackpot will actually bring a big disaster for him then it is clear that he will not want to be a winner and maybe he will give the amount of money to other people in the casino rather than having to exchange it for his life.

I found a news story about a robbery incident experienced by Delacruz, a Florida man who was with his wife.
He won a prize of $3000 at Hard Rock Casino and then after returning home from the casino tie he was followed by 2 men, Marcus Jenkins and Tristin Wright and tried to snatch the $3000 which then happened to shoot Delacruz, Delacruz begged for his life to be saved after being shot in both legs.

It is very scary to know news like this, when there is no guaranteed security when exiting gambling.

I guess this is also one of the reason why there are some who prefers gambling using their gadgets such as phones and computers rather than spending time going to a casino, and face an incident like this.
