Complaint about the blocking of an account with 10k$ and refusal to verify.  Kozaruk1

Hello!

I have encountered a problem regarding the blocking of my account on your platform. After my account received a verification request, I uploaded all the required documents for all four verification steps (passport, proof of address, proof of income, etc.). I was then sent a link to complete the online KYC (cusa) verification, which I passed.

However, immediately after that, I received a notification that my account has been permanently blocked despite the fact that my documents for all the verification steps were never reviewed. I assume the reason for the blocking is due to poor lighting while going through the online kyc verification process, as there are frequent power outages in my country.

I have repeatedly contacted the support team via email and online form to request an opportunity to re-submit the KYC verification, but I was told in response that the dialog is closed and my account is permanently blocked.

I am concerned that I have not been given the opportunity to re-verify and my account has been blocked without due consideration of the documents I have provided.

I am asking for help or advice on how I can resolve this issue and regain access to my account.

Is very important to include an evidence before you claim that a casino scam you, you just put out an accusations without any valid evidence and you call out a reputable casino here in the forum.

I think you need to have a rethink, to come up with a more verifiable evidence to support your claims otherwise you are just defaiming stake casino and you can get punished for that.

Share your chat logs with them as well. That evidence is also important and should be added to the OP

When they block your account, they should be able to give you the reason it was blocked, without the reason, we will only be guessing here. I think you passed your KYC, but maybe the found another reason to block your account. Maybe multi accounting, cheating, playing from restricted jurisdiction etc
If your KYC was not clear, they would have rejected the verification and made you to reverify.

Isn't it your responsibility to make sure the pictures are clear? If you feel so then send them the KYC documents again. Did you play from a country which is prohibited according to their terms?

The chat logs is a crucial evidence on scam accusation like this because it usually contains the narrative of your issue so that we can follow what’s really happening between you and Stake.

Stake usually ask KYC when an account has an issue as standard procedure. Probably you violated their ToS that resulted to block of your account. Support always mention the nature of the violation which you should share here.

Stake will not randomly trap user funds without any basis.

I'm guessing they want to see you take a picture of it with you holding the passport and a piece of paper with the current date written on it. I've seen cases before where casinos don't accept images of ID/passport because there is no indication of whether the ID/passport is taken by the owner.

I finally have a grasp on your case. You are sending a questionable documents that’s why they accused you of fraud/identity theft which is a fair verdict on your case. It’s very hard to mediate on case like this because we can’t physically verify the documents you are sharing to Stake on your KYC.

I think you have the right to recover your deposit 100% but it will require a proper KYC for AML policy.

Based on this screenshot — correct me if I'm wrong, they did not close or locked your account. It's just the chat conversation or email, not your account that was affected. You need to either submit another ticket or resubmit your legitimate ID document. Even if you sent a fake ID and they found out it wasn't you, they wouldn't close your account you would just need to resubmit your ID.

You should submit a complaint on Askgamblers to get some help. I have seen the resolution of some Stake users KYC verification related complaints on Askgamblers.

I have sent all other documents that they requested, they do not check them citing that I could not pass the first time due to the lack of a passport, although I had a passport and their system just did not recognize it.

Three things:

One, I don't think I understand your point above. They never reviewed your KYC and instantly block you or were they reviewed it and rejected it due to poor lightning? The two statement I marked in bold contradict each other.

Two, do you mind to tell us what country you're accessing them from? I noticed that BitcoinGirl.Club asked for this and it is yet to be answered.

Three, your evidence. Can you perhaps provide a better, more full screenshot of the email? And perhaps other supporting evidence like your communication with them and all you feel will help build your case.

I am not saying that you're lying and fabricating your screeenshot below,



but, snipped like that, one can question its validity and authenticity. To give a better picture, and just to emphasize the point I am trying to convey, I can say that stake send me an email earlier today,

I guess they've asked him to show his passport in front of his webcam during a video call and he hasn't been able to show it because he didn't bring it with him or he showed it to them but they haven't been able to see it correctly.

I don't think that's a video verification. On the later post, OP wrote "sent", not show. I also find OP's narrative to be bit... off. He think they won't accept his document because the document is not clear due to poor lighting, due to... power outages?

There is this thing called "flash" on camera that can produce a very clear photo that's taken even on a totally dark room. For selfie photo, phones these days will turn the screen white and put them on full brightness setting, essentially works as a "flash", with a small circle of the camera "viewfinder" on our screen to show what'll be captured as a photo.

Even if we suppose OP is indeed on a video KYC, and had a power outage in the middle of it, and they happened to be in a dimly lit room, his front camera can and will set themselves to such configuration above to provide a clear video quality.

I think there is something missing from OP's story.

Yes I agree with you OP should complete his story with more details about the KYC process he underwent, because it's not very clear but if he's not referring to a live video call, I don't understand why they claim he didn't pass the verification process "due to not having a physical document"(sic) usually they don't impose time limits, and people just upload their documents when they are able to do it, and if something is wrong with the uploads they ask to do it again until everything is ok. So it would be the first time I heard of a rejection for a document not sent quickly enough or wrongly scanned.

Their e-mail mentions that they suspect fraud and potential identity theft. I am not accusing the player of anything, but we shouldn't rule anything out either at this point. If the OP obtained this passport illegally and uploaded it to Stake, their security department (or the provider that conducts KYC verification) might have recognized and connected the document to a previous Stake account(s), and thus the decision to ban the player. Again, I am just sharing a possibility and not saying that's what the player did.
