Can Someone help me get some of my scam money back ?

What happened: I signed up with dex-trading.global and made 2 small deposits was trading and wanted to take out my profits and it would not let me. I asked and what i got back from there message did not sound right i have to make a exact deposit of $760 USDT $750+1.25% there fee and +1 usdt for the total Like a %$# person i did it (I am very new to crypto) but it was off by $1 they told me it had to be exact so now I am left with my 2 deposits of 900 plus the 761 deposit to change to user status Is there a way to even get back some of my money i put in I have pictures and the my account is still active

I am so sorry about that, brother. How I wish you made some inquiries from here before sending the money the asked you to pay. I am afraid to tell you that you have been scammed and there is an almost zero chance that you can recover that money unless if you physically know the perpetrators.

The site the scammed you is similar to another site I uncovered a few months ago that almost scammed someone else. All those sites are copycats of Mexc Global and are probably owned by the same group of scammers.

When you open the site, if you are familiar with MEXC Global, then you will definitely realize that this side is a rip-off of an early version of MEXC. Hell, these scammers are so stupid that they didn't even bother to remove MEXC

looking at what logfiles posted, it looks like it is impossible to get that money back. the website is design to scam people. if they contacted you again and asked you to deposit again in order to "unlock" the withdrawal, ignore that message, they will just scam you again.

I am curious, what made you decide to deopsit on the website? I feel like with a little bit of research you'd be able to tell that the website is suspicious and should be avoided.

I am very new to crypto and figured that was the way of things it sounds funny to me but being a newbie i just did it, but MAJOR lesson learned and yes I should have checked more before doing it. I still feel crypto is the way to go but only using coinbase etc  thank you both for your replies

Sorry for you loss mate, unfortunately, there are a lot of scammers in the world that we live in. So we must be very careful not to trust anyone with our hard earn money.

Anyway, as you have said, let this be a lesson learned from you end. You can ask the community for advise if let's say what crypto platform you want to put your money with so that we can see if it is legit or not.

Sorry for your loss, it's a chance for you to learn, ask and do your research before depositing. These scammers are lazy so if you could post the transaction ID we might be able to get some useful information (though the chance is slim)

As I mentioned those scammers are lazy and stupid I think they use crypto exchange API to receive payments instead of writing the codes themselves or using opensource payment gateway

That's what they count on, people that are new to crypto and don't know about all the dangers that lie ahead.

Even though Coinbase is one of the most reputable exchanges, using CEX also has its own dangers as once you send the money to thjem, they can do whatever they want with it, meaning making all kind of bullshit reasons to keep your money.

By the way, how did you even found about these scammers?

the website is already down and if you search cryptocex.global on Google it will show results stating that it is a scam website. anyway, judging the three scam websites they created, once the most recent website they created is down it is only a matter of time before they create another website to scam people again.

I'm sure there are dozens of these scam sites in search engines and on social media platforms, and they don't just impersonate MEXC but also all the popular CEX platforms. This is exactly what will happen if their scam succeeds on one of the new and cheap domains they have created; they will erase the traces of the scam and move on to another domain to target more victims who will believe they are dealing with the official exchange. Imagine how many of these fraudulent sites appear when you comment on a tweet related to a CEX platform, or when you join a Telegram group or a Discord channel. (is truly disastrous).

I advise the OP that if he wants to learn about the details of any exchange in the future, he should do his research and verify it on CoinMarketCap.

Not sure about the article you made reference to, since there is no link (you probably forgot to include it)

But there is actually someone who dedicated their time to share some tips on how one can identify this scam sites, unfortunately most of these victims don't even search up those articles. From the articles, you can tell that they have been some dozen similar websites that have been shut down so far

My guess is that someone either contacted him in person via Telegram or a different social media platform and suggested the site and he believed it. Ads and fake reviews can also be options how he found that particular platform. I doubt you can find such scam sites by accident by googling anything bitcoin, crypto, and trading related since SEO would point you to popular exchanges and not freshly created scam platforms.
