How does new sports seasons affect your general schedule?

From my personal experience, the start of new season will never affect any schedule in my daily life, I can still work or think about business from morning to evening and there is never any interference from every match that takes place every day.
But all this is because football matches such as the English League are always broadcast live in the evening or near midnight and after, this is due to the time difference between European countries and where I live.
If the next day there is no work or other important activities related to business, then I can still watch every match until it finishes even though it starts at midnight.
But on the other hand, I not interested in watching all matches and only few matches of certain team so this allows me to maintain rest pattern and not affect anything in living my daily life.

Well, it's not football but cricket here, India is cricket obsessed country, although I'd consider myself much less obsessed. Well just as I love football I give out time for it and when my schedules tend to interwove with my time for watching football especially when a new season surface,I don't hesitate to take up the chances to meet up to it.
Meaning when it's time to watch my favorite sports football nothing can be a barrier but sometimes some cases of activities can alter that but I don't forgive myself for missing it.

How that disturbs people's schedule is what I can't relate with because typically, the average 90 minutes of a full football match is too small a time to do so.

I'm from Asia and soccer matches are on weekends so I don't think it bothers me, and I use that time to gamble, but maybe someone's schedule is different in working time, not a few people who work full weekends in 7 days.

Yes, it often sees how football season can affect people's plans and behavior. Many fans change their daily routine including me during the season so they can have time to watch matches, I remember before not related to football but boxing instead Manny Pacman matches is long awaited always. These changes I notice often lead to significant changes, for example, sporting events or competitions are less enjoyable when people choose to watch sports instead. It is not uncommon to find football fans get so enraged that their moods and relationships with others, including family and friends, are changed. At times, football may even take precedence over things like church activities or socializing. For my side, I have also realized the same impacts where game plans sometimes change my routines and social routines and especially the high impact football has on people's lives.

I doubt that there are that many people who are strating to completely change their habits or even re-schedule most of their daily program because of sports. A lot of those events happen anyhow during the afternoon/ night so if you're free at that time you were anyhow doing something for fun, if we talk taking free days from work then it's a bit of extreme, doubt even hardcore fans would be able to manage this for the whole season.

Now there might be some that are so much invested in a sport and in their favorite team that all day they talk about that and only that and they even try to follow the team everywhere but they are a minority. Currently, I may be very often betting on sports betting and often watching football all the time. My family understands that i love watching football with friends when they are around or alone so during my ball time, it is either they watch with me or give me space because I don't like being distracted.
