Shit coin investment is risky but it shares a lot of profit among the investors which is why people invest here more. Altcoin investment gives high amount of profit in short period of time due to which investors invest here to earn more profit even though it is risky but still investors invest here. I think altcoin investment is not risky for short term but it is very risky when it can be held for long term. In particular I invested in altcoins a few months ago instead of bitcoins and the price of those coins did not rise but fell and I am among the losers. Although still a lot of loss in my investment but I hold it may not be possible for me to recover from here and I have to face losses from here. In that case I think it is best to invest in bitcoin as it is risk free and very good profit can be made from bitcoin in future.

I am not a bitcoin maximalist and I also invest in altcoins but I disagree with what you said: Investing in altcoins is risky even in the short term and the risk becomes even greater when you hold them for the long term. Or to put it bluntly, investing in altcoins is like gambling and risks can happen at any time. And I also disagree when you say that investing in bitcoin is risk free whether you are talking about long term or short term. Any investment that can bring profit can also make us lose, the higher the profit, the greater the risk and Bitcoin is no exception.

As much as we wouldn’t want to see altcoin investments for a good idea, clearly I don’t as well haven’t invested in a few of these coins myself in the past and didn’t make nothing from most of it, the potential of making some x from it is something to consider. Also, having to invest just what you can afford to lose, that minimum amount to get several of the coins is something you wouldn’t get in Bitcoin no more but, you do have something better with Bitcoin. That is, reliability and coins you find in the market depends on Bitcoin to have its direction.

Not all altcoins are bad to invest in. As I will also encourage the use of DCA approach investment as a truly good move by anyone planning to go into bitcoin investment and do not have enough capital to invest in lump sum, not everyone in the crypto world might be really interested in investing in Bitcoin.

In fact, there are people who find stablecoins less stressful to hold since the risks attached to them are minimal. Stablecoins such as USDT, DAI, USDK, TUSD, etcetera are not prone to volatility like the crypto assets and since they could also capitalize on the rise and fall of value of their local currencies in the centralized markets.

There is no solid basis for this comparison because after all when we talk about comparisons then we have to look at the equivalence between what is being compared and that is not seen in bitcoin and altcoins considering they are not equivalent and indeed there should be no comparison in this regard.

Bitcoin in the end if seen in terms of position, price and so on that are considered for comparison actually they still remain above altcoins so why compare something that is not equivalent.

My assumption in interpreting and comparing Altcoin and Bitcoin has a very different point of view, Bitcoin has a good fluctuating capacity and much better interest and volatility, Bitcoin has a level far from Altcoin which are both in the market, The potential of Bitcoin provides a realm where Bitcoin Investment is the best in Crypto Investment.

I think the Bitcoin ETF along with Bitcoin’s blockchain not seeing much use has been a disaster for altcoins. Without Bitcoin fees skyrocketing, altcoins don’t have much of a case for anything. Pretty much depends on what you definition of what a Shitcoin and what a legitimate alternative coin are, to be honest. It is relative.
For some people Dogecoin is a Shitcoin which does not have any actual value, because of its inflational model of mining, while other will defend it as the best memecoin in the market and because of it, it is on the top ten of all coins according to their market capitalization.
Alternative currencies themselves are not a suicidal choice when comes to investing, one only needs to filter in a effective way which coins are actually garbage and which ones have something different and unique to offer to the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Is it fair to take EOS as an example and assume that all altcoins are the same? Can you tell me how many times ETH price has increased since 2013? and I bet you it won't go away anytime soon.
