RIP ETH Gas Station

Most of you who used Ethereum so much back in the day at least know something about ETH GAS STATION (https://ethgasstation.info/) and it's importance when one wanted to estimate the ETH transaction fees
It might be a few weeks late, but just know the service is no more as of 31st July 2024.

An end of an era

Time was so quick, I didn't noticed that it was a year already since they have departed from their service. I don't know what are the actual reasons for their stoppage but they are the most popular for the gas fee checker of everyone. Right now, I think that everyone is going with the gas tracker of Etherscan[1].

It was first ethereum gas tracker afaik, it really had it's use during times when eth gas fees were high, and you'd check it first before making transaction to check it's time you should proceed with making transaction but these days Ethereum gas tees are really low and I don't find myself using these anymore.

Can't remember the last time I used ETH GAS STATION, it was to measure transaction fees using this tool and was quite useful at that time, but now I prefer gastracker on etherscan because it's easier. Now it's enough to remember.

Btw, ETH gas is now lower, any activity on the Ethereum network will not be thought of if the transactions are all normal.
Doing bridging, doing swaps on dex is much easier because of cheap fees.

RIP ETH Gas Station. I often used it before i moved to the etherscan to get the information about ethereum gas. And this was predictable. Such a service has no active income to pay for hosting, APIs, etc. to keep it running. Also, etherscan's decision to add gastracker on its site has robbed ETH Gas Station's traffic. People were rarely using it. No doubt they can't operate longer.

It's weird that ETH, as the second biggest cryptocurrency, but it's not get a lot support by other companies and the community. If they didn't get enough donation, they should rent their space instead, but it's over.

If ETH can be like that, the other coins are weaker and vulnerable than ETH.
