Phone or laptop? Which one do you prefer to use for trading?

Whether it's forex or crypto trading, I'm more comfortable using a PC than a smartphone - that's because a PC provides a better experience, a larger screen, and much better multitasking than a smartphone can offer. On a PC you can also access various tools that can help your trading become even better. As for smartphones, it's good to use them as monitoring devices when traveling, so we can find out how our account is doing and take action as quickly as possible if needed.

well, i think most people will do the same. i also only use my smartphone when i am relaxing, or on vacation and away from my laptop or PC. However, using a PC or Laptop will give its own satisfaction in doing analysis, and also a better experience than when using a smartphone.

I NEVER use the phone for convenience and security reasons (I'm probably too old to use the phone easily).
I haven't seen any good trading app that can be used from a phone or a smartphone.

But it comes to trade management (creating orders, closing orders, setting TPs and SLs, etc) then you need to be with your phone especially if you're going to be away from your computer, you'd need your phone to be able to manage those trades incase if goes against you and you have to close, adjust targets / stop losses.

Charting on a Mobile device is not the best experience that's why some very experienced traders even use multiple monitors.

Yes, for analysis, a smartphone is not the tool that will be your best assistant, but it can help out in some moments where using a laptop is impossible. Once I had to trade from a smartphone for several days in a row, because I was on the road most of the time and could not use anything else, and at the end of my trip I began to think that I was gradually starting to get used to it, that is, it is also possible, but it is much more difficult and requires more time for simple things that are done much easier and faster on a PC.

What you said is not wrong because I also feel and experience something like that myself when I want to or am trading on several exchanges. Smartphones are just easier to carry anywhere but to see analysis and others will always be easier by using a PC or something similar like a Laptop even though PCs or Laptops are not easy to carry anywhere we want except for Laptops that are only small in size. But sometimes I also think about having a tablet with a slightly larger screen than a smartphone to see how my trading experience is when using the tool.

I did use phone for some stuff when I was traveling, but seriously hard to do, I respect the people who trade by phone, it's definitely not easy. Of course this could be based on the phone brands too, I have a phone that is less than 100 dollars when I bought it, it was cheap, still cheap at the moment and if someone buys like the latest iphone for example then maybe it's easier there? I do not know.

I never had the latest iphone before, I once had iphone 6 but when I had iphone 6, iphone X was out, so it was an older model even when I got it and it was used one from my cousin so I never had brand new iphone to judge this. If you have iphone 15 pro max at the moment and trade, you can tell us how that feels, maybe it's a good feeling.

However, at the moment, PC is much much better, hell a multiple screen PC is even better, it has to be something that we look at and I believe there is a potential for that to be very valuable to us, we need to consider that. As much screen as possible is a great way to trade, for me at least, I am sure there are very professional traders who do not need that, but for me, I need to see it big, I sometimes even connect my pc to my tv, to see more details all at the same time.

I prefer to trade crypto  with phone. I have a laptop but I noticed that I do not like it to trade unlike phone. I do not know if other people are like that or they just prefer to use laptop. That is why I bring this survey. To know people that use laptop to trade crypto than phone or otherwise.

Both phone and a laptop can be used for trading but we have different reason why any of it will be be more profitable. One of the reason why I prefer to use laptop for trading is because I don't struggle to see what is on the screen of the laptop. Another reason why I prefer using laptop for trading is because I concentrate better with laptop than when trading with my phone. Trading with my phone I can be distracted with a phone call or a text notification.
But I think laptop will be more preferable for a lot of traders because because of many advantages that can make trading easy and comfortable for traders.

In my opinion, both have different advantages, when we start trading via a laptop our level of focus is better protected from the distraction of any notifications that come out of the monitor screen, so we can easily and focus on trading, but when we trade via our cellphone it can be easier to access wherever and whenever we need, because on our cellphone it is faster for us to monitor the movement of the graph itself, when we have free time we can directly access our trading via cellphone, if we don't have a laptop we can take it wherever we go If the cellphone is of course with us for almost 24 hours, that way both have their respective advantages and can be used with both.

I used my phone to open order and closed order when I'm not close to my laptop, it's very easy to see through the exchange, the centralized ones to be specific than you will do in laptops. I also like my phone because it's easy to use, you don't have to take laptop to anywhere, you can do that right from your phone and trade conviniently. If the app doesn't lag, you get good comfort.

However, laptop processing speed can't be compare to the processing speed of phones. With laptop, you get wider view and concentrate more on what you are doing but on phone, you will get distracted by social media like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp which is not good when analyzing a trade.

Though, currently my country isn't allowed to use some exchange and the webs are not going through, you will have to use the  phone to be able to access this exchanges especially the centralized ones that are having case with the government regarding tax.

The only reason why using a laptop or a monitor is best suited for charting is because the larger screen offers more chart clarity, more details available to the eye. Whereas, on a mobile device, everything is jacked up so much which isn't the clearest charting screen. And yes, you're right, it's much more intuitive and fast to do it on a laptop too. Like I said, where a mobile phone shines is when it comes to trade management. You can do it anywhere, on a mobile device as long as you have cellular network.

After taking a trade, I use my phone to monitor the market, because I can see the market price on my phone even when I am out of home. Laptop plays a very important role in doing market analysis, because if you are a professional trader then laptop is very useful to judge the market well and focus well. I tend to use my laptop to monitor the market when I am in my room. So I use both phone and laptop for trading. But I only trade using the phone if I get solid news and there is no need for analysis.

Well when I want to trade some of my crypto I am doing that on a laptop. I do not not to use wifi for anything that is related to crypto. I will plug in my modem to my laptop and do it this way.
And maybe I am just being very careful. But I also want to have that big screen so I can not have a error. Because if we make a error when trading crypto well then we know it is not a way to get our crypto back to us.
And to make sure some possible hackers do not see my portfolio. This is 1 big reason for not doing it on my phone.

Now as we are heading for the advance era things are going well-developed with mostly peoples are going through with mobile instead of using computer and laptop because they are feeling comfortable and having flexibility in this due to many good things peoples are using their time into trading because they are feeling it's good for them to have extra bucks so having mobile and related apps are helping them with staying with laptop is going less.

Even now with the laptop things are going easy but mobile is still looking much better because we can handle this easily without any extra work and laptop needs to be had some more care and extra things because without this we can't manage this now mostly trading platforms are having apps which are giving all required facilities and options for the flexibility of their members.

Because, for decision making, I need lots of charts with technical analysis which are possible only with multiple screens/tabs hence for analysis I must need my computer and for closing a trade or just monitoring my positions, mobile is more than enough for me as well.

Actually, they both help us, and either of those two can be a backup or an alternative if one of them has a problem. Then we also know that they have abilities that each other does not have.

But have their own benefits as far as crypto trading is concerned because when you are using a laptop you have a bigger screen display and you will still have limitations because you can’t be walking on the streets at the same time using it on like a phone you have a small screen display and you can go where ever you want to and still operating and using it without people knowing what exactly you are doing. That is why sometimes I also prefer a phone the most, but both are useful and convenient. Unless you have eye issues like you find it difficult to see smaller things, then the best for you most be a laptop or a pad, so for me I will say I prefer a phone the most to trade, but I use both.

If someone asks me this question, I would probably say I mostly use my phone for checking the market or making a few trades if I see something good happening around the market at that moment.

My laptop is used occasionally for candle-reading and analyzing and researching some tokens that are either new in the market or are about to get listed in the near future because doing research on a laptop or a computer is way more convenient and easy than doing it on a mobile phone because of the limited size of the screen.

Well that's your own thought when utilizing phone to trade, but am quite positive that as almost everyone has a reason why he prefers one over the other, though I normally uses both of them, but my ideal choice is with laptop, or sometimes I connect my phone with my smart tv and trade with it, the reason is that I prefer a larger screen, with laptop or with my smart tv, it's very easy to identify support and resistance and some other key places on the price chart, because it's very much big and visible, unlike the phone that is quite smaller due to how small the screen is, so it's only when am not home that I mostly trade with my phone, sometimes I just want to check how the trade I made is playing out, or their is a quick turn of events that I need to address while trading, so I will mostly go with the phone, because it's faster when I seriously want to address something in the market or the trade I took.

So in essence of what am trying to say is that, I only use my phone to trade when am not at home, but if am home, I prefer using my laptop or my smart tv to trade due to the seize of the screen and how easy it is to analyze the chart with bigger screen.

I prefer using laptops for trading because it shows all the details needed for the business. Except you are familiar with phones, there might be some icons that will be hidden due to the small screen size of phones. Using phones can also cause mistakes because you have little space to click on. But phones are better to monitor especially when you are not in a comfortable environment like a bus, train or insecure location. Using phones can also save data costs and also improve privacy. Using a laptop in a public space might attract the attention of people since the screen is big enough for people to see that you are trading.

Trading in crypto or forex market, definitely i will prefer mobile, i would like to crypto trade in my mobile even you will be surprised to hear that I have never traded in laptop, Mobile is user friendly device to me and Its biggest advantage is that it is always with you wherever you go, so trading is so familiar with mobile phone.

Phone is more convenient for me when trading because it is more faster and makes it easy when I am trading. There was a time when I was learning how to trade using laptop, it was not as sharp as the way I enjoy it on phone with just a click. I can change where I am sitting on easily when using phone and will stl concentrate as usual unlike laptop.
