Well I am very lucky to have people who are very interested in crypto-currency  just as I am or even more so if I am not using crypto-currency a day I am definitely talking about the crypto market or any other news that has to do with crypto-currency.

It's super easy now expressing my love for crypto because there is a whole lot of improvement from back in the days to now. More people are adopting crypto-currency.

I do not use Bitcoin always but I use it occasionally and when there's an option to use Bitcoin for payment. Few weeks ago I wanted a foreign number to use for my business and I looked for websites that I can purchase one which I found after many research and they had options of paying in Bitcoin and other payment forms but I did not hesitate to make use of Bitcoin. It cost me $2.5 and with transaction fees just around $3. I have also use Bitcoin for some purchase that I have done and needed payment before the goods are delivered. Bitcoin helps when I am shopping online for gadgets because I'm love to buy new gadgets as I am a lover of gadgets. For people that have not used Bitcoin for anything before, search online and anything that you want to buy, there is always a site you can pay with Bitcoin

Hardly ever. I don't see any offers accepting Bitcoin as payment method on my daily life, therefore I'm pretty limited when using it as currency. Most people aren't familiar with Bitcoin yet. I tried pay with BTC sometimes, but people on the other side of the negotiation didn't accept. Bitcoin is strange to them, and they don't see open to try it, as they prefer to invest and profit through another means.

As far as I remember, I acquired a good for BTC only once, and ironically it was a hardware Bitcoin wallet. If it wasn't for this transaction, I could never use my Bitcoins to purchase something. I just hope in the future this scenario is going to change, as fiat loses purchasing power, governments charge abusive taxes over transactions and acquisitions, so people have to seek for alternative methods to execute their negotiations.

I personally use cryptocurrency 2-8 times per month depending on what I want to do with it. For my personal payments I don't use crypto at all, especially when it comes to purchase of goods.

But, for purchase of digital goods I prefer to use cryptocurrency instead of any other payment methods.

Aside from those payments I also sometimes use cryptocurrency for p2p trading and for that I do transfer crypto from my non-custodial wallets.

My answer is probably still the same as some of the people here because I almost never use my assets for payments until now.

Some things that become a comparison in this case where it is clear that the first reason is because in my country bitcoin is still a commodity asset and not a legal means of payment so I only use this as an investment so as not to deviate from the regulations that the government has set at this time. Another reason is because I still have no desire to use this as a means of payment, it is undeniable that I want to feel that way but after thinking a few times the fact is that I still want to continue to store my assets as an investment tool that I think is feasible for the future so that the desire to make this a means of payment is a little difficult for me to do.

I haven’t made use of crypto for payment before, I actually have been looking for a store or anywhere that I can make payments with crypto with, but because of the government policy in my country, everyone is just scared. I know there are people who will still be accepting crypto as a payment method, but it’s going to be hidden. Just because of government policy, the government has been banning bank accounts that are linked to crypto transactions, so everyone is just scared to get their businesses compromised. That’s why it’s going to be difficult to see businesses accepting crypto as a payment method.

Correctively, bitcoin on its own is a ledger that executes its transactions in a decentralized Network known to be blockchain.
Literally it does not matter whether users holds their bitcoin on  non custodial or a custodial wallets, ideally all crypto wallets can execute bitcoin transactions whether for payment if services or otherwise.
The ideal of non custodial wallet networks was to enhance privacies and better security chains.
Aside having bitcoin for payments, it serves as assets and hedge to store values against economy inflation so, by the bid of its potentials, it has scaled through gaining values and massively adopted globally and as much as that, more adoptors are being attracted and so it is the more it would expand to gain more values in the future.

I uses bitcoin to fund my crypto casinos accounts but rarely uses it for payments because there are less number of individuals who accepts it for payments in my place but though we have huge number of adoptors who are most holding for assets.

Im kinda on the fence about how to use my bitcoins.  I dont wanna throw them around on dumb little purchases, but I can see why folks dig paying for stuff online with it.  Its easy, private and cheaper than using my credit card half the time. 

But even with me being wishy-washy now, I think bitcoin is gonna blow up bigger someday.  More folks using it, new tech making it better, and people trusting decentralized money systems more - thats why it will scale up.  But who knows though, Ive been wrong before

It depends a lot on the type of cryptocurrency you use. Some cryptos have very low transaction fees.  But even if the fees are higher, paying with crypto can still be more affordable than regular cash payments, particularly for international transfers.  For instance, if you were wiring money abroad through a traditional bank you'd likely get slammed with lofty fees and exchange rates. But with crypto, you can send money directly to another persons wallet at a fraction of that cost.

I use cryptocurrency when the opportunity opens itself.  Like when there is a cryptocurrency option as payment for buying domains or any online sales.  I also use cryptocurrency when I have the fund to engage in gambling activities.

It is quite hard to use cryptocurrency in our local market because it is rare to find a store that accepts BTC or any other cryptocurrency since sellers are more familiar with cash apps than cryptocurrency payment. Besides, using non-custodial payment for p2p purchase cost more on fee than the cash apps and sellers prefer the payment service that is free of charge when it comes to transactions in order to attract more buyer.

That is very true, especially those in sig campaigns here who are in the forum. Most of them are promoting casinos, so once they got their weekly pay, for sure, they will try their luck in some of the games before they withdraw. But for other usage like payment, I believe, people are more conservative as some are very high in transaction fees which is not practical.

Well, cryptocurrency is not cheaper than fiat if i may say correctly, you can convinced me that it's more convenient while using it at your home without you having to move out to any center or using third party system to process your payment just as fiat. You know to process payment online or offline there is always an third party over there, but with cryptocurrencies you are permissionless but still it's not cheaper than fiat as you made mentioned here.
Of course I uses bitcoin and other coin for trade and also sell out to fiat coupled with using it to gamble, so i can't say i don't use cryptocurrency for my day to day activity and even though it's not regular but at least used it to gamble/trade.

Well, in the country where I live in, crypto currency transactions, trading is completely banned, so there is no way you as a citizen can just walk into any business or shop where there is no cryptocurrency acceptance sign; and ask them if they accept crypto payments, this is possibly the only reason I know as to why I don't use crypto to pay for some goods and services in my locality.

And talking about online services where crypto currency payments are accepted, I don't use online service very often, and I currently don't actually have many online services I patronize aside from one which is a VPN subscription service, and like currently, I bought the year package and paid in bitcoin, it is until the one year package I paid for expires, before I get another opportunity to subscribe again and pay with cryptocurrency.

And for what will make me to start using cryptocurrencies for payments in every day, life, it's no other than crypto should become generally accepted, governments should lift bans so that citizens can be allowed the freedom to accept and use crypto for payment of goods and services as we like.

Sometimes daily, but there are times there's interval days for using it since not all the time I feel like using my crypto to spend on something I think not important especially buying goods online since I can do it using fiat.

Crypto for me is investment also used it for gambling purposes so most likely I want to stay it on my wallet since I'm also changing it to bitcoin when I win or gain for long term investment purposes. But maybe in future if there's a good used of crypto then will think about using it in daily basis.

But for now I look at it as investment that and little part of it is is used for entertainment that's why I don't like to take it out from where I currently put my balances with.

In my country it's a different tale altogether, the government through it's  foul policies have made the use of bitcoin or any cryptocurrency a difficult task that even banks and every other financial institutions alienate themselves from it such that your bank account can be frozen if suspected to have been used for çrypto transaction (p2p). Due to the government stands on crypto you can hardly see an available businessman that want to have transaction in crypto.

Not oftentimes. Because first and foremost, crypto for me is never meant to be spend but will buy even more to add more on my portfolio. Second, it's never accepted as a payment in my own place, so most likely I'll stick to fiat for payment and crypto particularly bitcoin remains my biggest investment. It depends a lot on the type of cryptocurrency you use. Cryptocurrencies have many advantages over traditional payment methods for cross-border transactions or international payments, but will be more expensive for domestic payments. I don't even incur any fees if I pay via banking app no ​​matter how big the amount is and the confirmation time is almost instant. While using crypto would be quite inconvenient because I have to pay extra transaction fees, how comfortable would you feel if a cup of coffee costs $1 but you have to pay an extra $1 fee if you use USDT, let alone bitcoin?

When it's just about the on-chain transactions, that's a big limitation to answering the question. I use on-chain payments perhaps a few times a month. But those aren't usually to buy goods or services; it's for selling some of it for fiat to use the money as fiat. If I could pay my usual bills in Bitcoin, I would. So I only sell for fiat for practicality reasons.
I understand it doesn't count as using Bitcoin as money, but I do believe adoption may rise and make that more practical in the future. At least, for online orders.

I use it every day, and I live in Spain; you just got to find a crypto card provider and then deposit load your card with Bitcoin. You pay everywhere you want, buy things online, connect it to Apple Pay even, and spend it in restaurants, supermarkets, or whatever you need. I have used plasbit euro virtual card for years and I have been practically off the grid since 2020. It's 2024 bro, you can live on Bitcoin and nobody will even know..

That's why I mentioned using it to load my crypto card, which I use for everyday spending. But you responded with 'I meant on-chain, not fiat' 😕.

The whole point of Bitcoin is to exchange it for fiat to use in real life. if you and many more 'Hodlers' only see it as an investment or wait to "only pay in Bitcoin directly". If everyone just keeps waiting and holding, businesses won't accept Bitcoin because no one's spending it. You need to use it, crypto cards, prepaid cards, exchanging it for fiat, whatever. This way, you contribute to its adoption and circulation rather than just hold it and wait for mass adoption.
