Ok, can someone explain the problems potentially caused by a NON-POS coin minting ANYWAY?  I'm wondering if this problem would cause a fork or if this really isn't a problem at all (except, perhaps, for people getting "free" coins when there was no expectations).

I'm experiencing minting on a non-POS (non-advertised POS?) coin and wondered what the downside might be.
