I have been familiar with BTC since 2012. When I was transection BTC, its price was very low. If those accounts are no longer there because they were on a much earlier device, those devices no longer exist.

I have seen the Up and Down of BTC, but I could not imagine that it slowly became so popular. Now, I think BTC will do very well in the near future. It is still in very good shape, though. It will cross 100k+ very soon. What is your personal opinion about BTC?

I have been thinking about raising a thread concerning this. However I think I'll just spill some here. Let's start with bitcoin transactions well currently I'll say fees are ok and as good as new compared to periods of early this year and late last year. Lol I remember vividly the time transaction fees were so high to the extent that averagely fees were around 11- 15 sat/byte.
Now concerning the bitcoin bull, I don't really think that bitcoin will be hitting the $100k mark  anytime so soon or rather this year. It's definitely going to take a while based on some certain price movements this year. If you can recall vividly, bitcoin hit the $78k mark recently this year which was the major bull price I speculated this year . Anyways hitting a 100k would be nice though I don't see it too soon this year.

I also think that Bitcoin won't hit $100k this year, if we look at the 4-year cycle pattern of BTC, it should be hitting $100k next year (2025) together with making another record of new ATH  before it transitions to the bear market.  With the development of Bitcoin in each country, I think the positive regulation would bring more people to the Bitcoin economy, and if the network congestion problem is solved, I believe Bitcoin will reach a new height of success.

Bitcoin will grow more in the future and then you will remember today and regret not investing in Bitcoin in the future. Bitcoin may be sitting at $60,000 today but in the future when the price of Bitcoin is ten times higher, you will be reminded of today over and over again to regret it. I have a firm faith in Bitcoin that one day it will serve as an indicator of the wealth of people on earth, the more bitcoins they have, the richer they will be.

That is what the market looks like, as for some time ago when we had a little bull season which made it look like hitting $100k is not much of a problem, now we see how difficult it is even for the market to maintain it's price at $60k, this clears all assumptions if truly Bitcoin will cross $100k, the charts and price movements doesn't guarantee the price of Bitcoin to reach such level. We must try to remain positive, can't stay forever on this declined market definitely we are going to raise a new ATH other than what we have as of now.

Bitcoin is good. Despite that I have seen so many coins and even invested in them, at the end of the day I still go back to Bitcoin. Other cryptocurrencies are just like side chicks, while Bitcoin remains the main chick that you will always go back home to

I believe that blockchain technology is an innovative solution for p2p transactions and inflation-proof store of value.

I'm unsure of the origins or whether there is any backdoor in the encryption algorithms, but overall blockchain tech itself is sound.

It will continue to be useful as long as the internet is around, which I hope is a long time.

Do we need to care so much about the price of Bitcoin reaching $100k? It's not important because the most important thing now is to acquire as many Bitcoins as we can, as for the price it can reach any ATH with time so if the price hits $100k and you only have just very low fraction of it in your possession do you think the price hitting $100k will make much sense to you? not really so what we should be doing now is to accumulate more Bitcoin and forget about if the price will reach $100k sooner or not. Bitcoins future is already convincing so what we can do to help the process now is to buy and hodl more Bitcoins.

 It seems like crossing $100k this year is not happening this year very quickly in my opinion. But Bitcoin is something that is accompanied by a volatile nature where there is no stability in price during an increase or decrease in the market, And Bitcoin will certainly grow much more in the future and encourage everyone who tends to be involved in Investing in Bitcoin, Bitcoin is one thing that is very interesting in my personal perspective of course.

At the beginning of the Bitcoin journey, it was underestimated. People weren't able to imagine Bitcoin would grow this way. It's surprising for a beginning Bitcoin supporter who joined earlier. Most of them spent their holding, like buying pizza, as we all know the history. But for us, we are witnessing how Bitcoin is growing since we joined later. To imagine a Bitcoin future, we just need to study Bitcoin history. We can't exactly predict the future, but we may imagine where Bitcoin will reach. Once a time, buying one Bitcoin would be a dream. But still, it's at a reasonable price, and we aren't buying. Definitely, we have to regret those who aren't holding Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is very likely to go upside soon. September is coming, and many investors are confident Bitcoin is going to enter a new bullish trend from that moment on until December or even the first months of the next years. I believe in a new ATH which has potential to push Bitcoin above 100,000$, although it's not a guarantee, since we have never crossed the 73,738$ mark. Before talking about 100,000$, Bitcoin still has to hit 80,000$ and 90,000$, which aren't easy achievements at all, considering they have never happened before.

Anyway, I feel optimistic and confident about Bitcoin on short run (next year). There are also some other factors to influence Bitcoin price right now, especially US elections, which can boost Bitcoin or not, depending the results.

The bitcoin market has had a very mixed middle of the year with its price basically just ranging since the Q2 and a bearish Q3, this was actually not what many analysts or investors were predicting, the market actually was headed for correction right from when the price had a surprise surge due to the ETF hype which broke the old ATH, something that hasn’t really happened before in the history of bitcoin market. But the correction was supposed to be a thing that won’t last but due to the current economic crisis creating fears we are still in the ranging market.

I have also tipped bitcoin to reach a six figure this year after it broke the $70k so early but as things stands now with the globally economy I don’t think the prediction would actually manifest, but one thing i still have conviction about is that the market will pump hard in the last quarter of the year year but I don’t think it will be enough to get it to a six figure.

Is this a Thread for opinions about Bitcoin or about the speculative future?

I will answer based on the title and what OP says.  What I REALLY hope and want is Bitcoin being the future, so my opinion about it is very positive for now.  It provides the Freedom no Third Party can.  I can use it how ever I like.  I do not have to be afraid of Banks closing my Accounts, my Cards being stolen, Law Enforcement seizing anything.  Those Coins are mine and mine only, which obviously gives a sense of relief.

The future of it is kind of foggy in my opinion.  Simply because the World does seem to be shifting toward a much more supervised World where Privacy and Freedoms are very limited to nonexistent.  So take what ever you want from that.  It may or may not be what we were hoping for, it may or may not be the solution to such a World.  Maybe it is not.  Maybe it will end up dying out at one point.  But again, with no efficient crystal ball we have no foreseeable future other than what we already hear and see every day.  Governments are definitely not happy about Bitcoin still surviving, they are not happy about Cash still being an option for us.

Bitcoin is to me the isolation from the World that I never thought I would need until I found Privacy was a thing I REALLY need to take care of and think about.  Now obviously, there are so many ways Bitcoin is being attacked from multiple sides and angles.  But it still shows strength.

I would say more, but I would need to write so many rows of text that nobody would be interested in reading anyway.  Bitcoin is extremely helpful for me.  I am afraid for the future of the World, but with it there is honestly still a little bit of hope.

Bitcoin was a much needed creation that could have drastically changed the world for the better. However, as with any man made creation, greed entered the picture and the original ideas of Bitcoin were diverted in order to push a single company’s patented solution to a problem that didn’t exist. Now it’s a store of value to enrich early adopters and wealthy investors.

You from 2012 have already talked about it and somehow this present time is the future that you have never thought of. It is for sure that the near future of Bitcoin will be more amazing than in the past and as you can see, many adoptions have happened already. Bitcoin is no doubt in a good shape, I am not thinking of it that it will be in a bad shape or so because it's always been good regardless of the market situation.

We will be there soon and $100k is halfway there so, that's the price that we're all waiting for, and no matter what happens this is the current bull run and dips could come. But you have to ignore that if you're looking forward to meeting $100k soon. Do not get frowned by the market swings because they are essential to happen.

My personal opinion is that it won't matter what the price of Bitcoin is going to be soon when you don't own any Bitcoin. We should buy Bitcoin because it is going to be the currency of the future. The price for Bitcoin is going to go up and down always and this gives an avenue to buy Bitcoin but the people losing are those that refuse to buy because they decided not to believe in Bitcoin hence they miss out on an avenue to make profit. There were people that refused to buy Bitcoin when it was cheaper than it is now and they are angry. Anybody that isn't buying Bitcoin should be buying sometime more better because if they buy things that do not matter, they will be among those writing threads and wishing they bought Bitcoin below $100k. Bitcoin isn't going to die hence we should be preparing to welcome it into our life by making sure we don't miss investing in it before it has more value.

I think the reason why everyone is expecting bitcoin to reach 100k before the year ends is because we saw bitcoin reach a new ath before even the halving event. So everyone is expecting more surprises but is that new ath the only surprise for the year or we can really reach 100k this year? No one knows.

You still think bitcoin will do well in the near future or bitcoin is already doing well? because I don't know how you see bitcoin but a paradigm that came in with a price of 1$ only and now it's around 60kish price and has hit an ATH of over 73kish +

I do not know how you think of bitcoin but it's over what you think of it right now, bitcoin is not longer struggling to do well rather it is already doing well at this point.

My personal opinion is that bitcoin is a paradigm shift that has moved our think of money (currency) from a paper that is always depreciating and printed overly every year by some few calibers of people called government, and bitcoin has help privatize our life's where we can handle or hold amounts that we can hold in banks without being questioned in it, it has cleared my international transaction with out stress. bitcoin is currently my favourite innovation or invention.

The early days must have been something else, especially with BTC at such a low price back then.

It's amazing to see how far Bitcoin has come, transforming from a niche interest into a global phenomenon. I completely agree that BTC is in a strong position right now, and the idea of it crossing 100k+ doesn't seem too far-fetched. Personally, I believe that Bitcoin still has a lot of potential left to unlock, especially as more people and institutions start to recognize its value. If you check September's history yearly, it is not a good month for bitcoin. Also, bitcoin’s performance in Q4 will largely depend on the Fed’s decision to cut interest rates. If they cut rates as planned, we could see strong growth and vice versa. Not only us, the whole world is waiting for news from them this September and December.

Anyway, I feel optimistic and confident about Bitcoin on short run (next year). There are also some other factors to influence Bitcoin price right now, especially US elections, which can boost Bitcoin or not, depending the results.

Yes, I am also more optimistic about next year than I have been the rest of this year.

Regarding the impact of the election, I think whether Trump or Harris wins, nothing will change, the US government will print more money and the market growth is just a matter of time. But if Trump wins and continues to declare his support for bitcoin, things could move faster.
