Bloody and floody august for Bangladesh

The month of August 2024 will be memorable for every Bengali.  After the independence war of 1971, in 2024, the independence war had started again.  The war started mainly around the quota movement and ended with the fall of the dictatorial government.   Independence was celebrated with the resignation of the government on 5 August at the expense of much blood of the students.  Then another danger started.  Indian government releases water from Farakka dam without any warning.  Due to this, many districts of Bangladesh went under.  Millions of people are disoriented.  Some have lost their houses, some have lost their lives.  This August will be remembered for the whole life by every Bengali.

The burden now is on Muhammad Yunus and his team to unite the people and alleviate suffering and poverty.

I am not from your country but I have been following the news related to the issues happening in your country. I do not judge whether the protests and overthrow of the old government were right or wrong because I do not know exactly what is happening in your country and I need more information. But with what has happened recently, I agree with you that the floods you are facing have been politicized because as far as I know the Hasina government is quite close to India.

This is really condemnable because this is a war between politicians but the people are the ones who suffer the consequences. And with such evil thoughts, they are really no longer qualified to lead the country.

at the receiving end of a crisis as this, the poor and vulnaurable Masses are the ones that are left to suffer and bear the consequences of the action of a selected few. At first it was a fight they hard to struggle to fight in pursuit of thier freedom and liberation based on the quota system and now they've been forced to leave thier homes by an orchastrrated flood that's still being politicised. Just mere watching some clips of the flooding in Bangladesh and how lives have become miserable for those that are affected got me so emotional and the poor who are left stranded with no boats to pilot them to a much safer zones have to suffer from this.

Either the release of the water from the dam by India is politically motivated or not, lives and people's freedom is at stake and something needs to be done about it.

This movement spread at the last moment only to distribute the pro-Awami League who ruled the country.  The quota movement spread in a terrible form on all the students of Bangladesh. They have been persecuted with such cruelty and brutality that it is beyond imagination, and everyone's conscience is stirred at the thought of such oppressed rulers.  So this dictatorial ruler is gone now Bangladesh will start marching towards progress with smiling face.

The world is moving towards another World War and we are seeing increased tensions globally that will lead to this big crisis. These global conflicts among nations and within the nations are a serious concern for the World's peace. The reasons for all these conflicts are usually geopolitical disputes and economic rivalries. These small conflicts can result into major conflicts and the world super power should take these seriously before it becomes out of hand.
Most countries are ruled by corrupt leaders and only a few nations like Bangladesh are able to get rid of them by sacrificing their lives.

Yes 2024 is a bloody year for the Bengali nation. Dictator Sheikh Hasina made the country into a state where people took away their rights from freedom. People could not speak or do anything as they wanted.  However, student activists have once again freed this country from dictators by shedding their own fresh blood.  Man's imagined flood was this flood planned from India. Maybe the Indian government drowned the people of Bangladesh with water to please Sheikh Hasina. How tyrannical the government can be happy to act as it is. However, even if it is a human-made flood, we will accept this flood as a blessing because it is said in the hadith that if the country is free from dictatorship, the country will be completely cleaned by the flood rains and the country will be re-created which will be much better than before.

Few years ago when major parts of my country was flooded, this was the exact story that I heard. That the neighbouring country released water from their dam which affected my country. Why must it be so? Why will a country's dam evacuation affect another country. If it is so, there's supposed to be a document of understanding by the two countries, stating how such situations would be handled without affecting the other country.

My condolences to the people of Bangladesh. Joy will come in the morning.

In July, the student movement in Bangladesh began mainly around the quota movement.  But the movement later turned into the downfall of the dictatorial government and the student movement was largely successful, but in August many students were killed in brutal torture by Bangladesh government forces and August is marked as a brutal chapter in Bangladesh.
However, the problem did not stop there, rather in the month of August, more than seven districts of Bangladesh were flooded and extensive damage was done in Bangladesh.  So far this damage has not been controlled in Bangladesh but the suffering is increasing.

It is very curious that you mention this and go about it ... The even stranger thing is that you use freedom of speech to accuse Trump of hate speech in the USA. In the USA there is something called the First Amendment. This Amendment upholds anybody the right to the inherent freedom of speech that everybody has.

This freedom, while upheld differently than an Amendment to a Constitution in the UK, exists in the UK, too. So, you are welcome to call Trump's use of freedom of speech... to call it hate speech. I wouldn't deny you this right, because it really should be free for everybody to speak.

Trump didn't call for violence at the Capitol. But, you are free to say that he did, just as I am free to say that he didn't. It's freedom of speech. So, even if he did, it's his freedom of speech, same as yours is for you.

But the problem with such a revolution is that the ruling class will still hijack the government and things might become worse. Since the system is already corrupt, it will be difficult to have a government that will wholely seek the good of the people.

But the students made the right choice by choosing Muhammad Yunus who is an economist, entrepreneur and civil society leader. With his experience I expect him to make policies that will help revamp the economy and create more jobs. As a politician, he should use his years of experience to unite the people and ensure that ethnicity and religion are not sacrificed on the altar of meritocracy.

Now if only Muhammad Yunus understood common law, and the solid way to implement it among the people. It's right there, in the Bangladeshi government. It's waiting to be used by the people. But you gotta know it and understand what it is to use it.

Here is what it is. All men/women are created equal. If somebody causes a man or woman to be harmed, whether he used government or guns to do it, he cans be sued for damages. But it has to be done man to man, not man against government official.
