Now if only Muhammad Yunus understood common law, and the solid way to implement it among the people. It's right there, in the Bangladeshi government. It's waiting to be used by the people. But you gotta know it and understand what it is to use it.
Here is what it is. All men/women are created equal. If somebody causes a man or woman to be harmed, whether he used government or guns to do it, he cans be sued for damages. But it has to be done man to man, not man against government official.
The problem is that some political leaders are blinded by religion. But they fail to understand that they were appointed to uphold the Constitution and not any religious book. Governance should be void of religious sentiments. Muhammad Yunus's undoing will be if he begins to treat Hindus differently from Muslims. Yes, we know that the government of Sheikh Hasina was not fair to all, but religious segregation should not be tolerated by the new government if they want to rebuild Bangladesh.
The problem is that Bangladeshi's don't really understand what British rule gave them. British rule gave them individual freedom from government people, or anybody else. The British gave them a government based on the tenets of the
Magna Carta, a document that took power away from the British king and nobles, and spread that power among the people.
Anybody in Bangladesh who wants power for the people, needs to read the latest form of the
Magna Carta, and then apply what it does when they use its tenets in the courts. The courts are set up with a section for going man to man in court... no matter who the man is. If the Bangladesh people understood this, they could take any of their corrupt leaders to court man to man for harm and damage done.
However, in the US, the whole government was set up based on the tenets of the British
Magna Carta. Yet Americans don't understand this except in a small way. But it's so strong that it has kept America reasonably free for over 200 years WITHOUT the people understanding it.
