Hello there.
My stake account was suspended a couple months ago with over 50 thousand dollars in it. I won't reveal the exact amount for privacy reasons but it's alot of money specifically for me.
When they suspended me I emailed me saying something along the lines of "We have temporarily suspended your account as we have reason to believe that this account has breached our terms of service as stated under item number 4. Stake Account - Prohibited Uses" And then 2 lines below it it said "Anonymity is important to us, but multi-accounting is something we take very seriously.". This also has been the only email I have received so I assumed they were saying they suspected me of multi-accounting and thats why I'm suspended. So they then asked me to redo my KYC 1-4 which I did multiple times I even at one point had to take a selfie with my ID showing myself and then holding a paper with my stake username and date. Each time doing this I would get no real reason as to why I would have to resubmit even though everything was the exact same as the first time when I got my account verified to level 3 which was all confirmed. So eventually I had given up because I was focused on other things in life and hoping maybe they conclude there investigation and figure out hey I'm not multi accounting and unsuspend me.
Fast foward a month or 2 later to a week or 2 from today. I started to retry doing my verification level 1 passes easily again. I get to level 2, submit my ID that then asks for me to submit ID with selfie holding id in hand paper in other like last time I do that. I submit level 3 and 4 which again doesn't matter because now for level 2 they want me to do my passport doing the same steps as last time. I first off don't have a passport which I could go get a passport but will it actually change anything? How is me sending my passport or doing anymore steps of the KYC again and again gonna prove my innocence of multi-accounting? If that is actually what I'm being accused of.
I saw a post on here when I started researching if something similar happened to anyone else and how they fixed it. I came across a post from late 2022 where a guy seemed to of had a similar issue to me but then it eventually came out later on in the forum when someone from Stake commented and said he was being investigated for rigged betting on some sort of small sport and I understood obviously then why he couldn't withdraw.
That situation though couldn't even be possible to accuse of me because the all of my winnings have been from either NHL sportsbetting in the playoffs, NBA, or live casino blackjack. None of those for my balance could possibly be rigged or fixed by me for me to pay the rangers nearly enough to throw a playoff NHL game or the team they are playing.
So I thought of the other reason they actually may think I'm multi-accounting so I really start thinking how could I be accused of multi accounting and I thought maybe its because I was getting tipped by one of people in my dorm who I'm friends with and we do tend to gamble together he's probably tipped me over $50k usd in loans but I always tip him back or pay back. But if they think that is how I'm multi accounting then why wouldn't his account be suspended either. Cause for me to be multi accounting their has to be more than just my account involved?
Anyways I've been trying to email the stake accounts email who originally emailed me and they haven't been responding because the stake support themselves tell me they don't have insight on issues like this and only they do. But I'm at a point where resubmitting kyc for me isn't gonna solve anything it seems and I just really need answers on how to get my money out and or my acccount to be playable cause I still do enjoy their platform not so much after this experience though. If anyone has some real answers on how to solve this problem it would be greatfully appreciated as this has been stressing me out. and or if one of the higher ups in stake do look into this and have answers for me PLEASE let me know!
EDIT: forgot to put my stake name it is: davitoos

You should try reaching out in their thread and see if you can get any responses from their representatives in this forum Quick questions though. 1. Have you ever shared a device with your friend to log into your stake account? 2. Have you ever shared the Wi-Fi network with your friend while logging into your stake accounts? 3. Have you ever used a VPN while registering and accessing stake? 4. Has your tipping friend's account also been flagged and blocked?

1. Have you ever shared a device with your friend to log into your stake account? I have logged into my account on his computer before yes when he has tipped me. 2. Have you ever shared the Wi-Fi network with your friend while logging into your stake accounts? Yes everyone is one the same wifi network in our dorm hall thats how our university does it 3. Have you ever used a VPN while registering and accessing stake? I always use a VPN 4. Has your tipping friend's account also been flagged and blocked? No and hes a way higher roller then me since his dad is extremely rich he gambles 10-50x more money then me. And this was the only thought of how I could be flagged for multi-accounting but since he has never been banned or suspended and is still gambling 10s of thousands of dollars I don't know how I could possibly be suspended for multi-accounting.

"Just curious, did they mention the name of the account they're accusing you of being connected to? usually(or at least as far as I know) both your account and the other account you are being accused of being connected to will be suspended, if your friend isn't banned could it be that they are accusing you of being connected to another account and not your friend's account? would you mind sharing the screenshots of the conversation(may it be in the email or chatbox) with their support?

Unfortunately, their representative, Stunna, has not been online for a long time. All I know is Stake campaign manager Carollzinha who might help you. I already sent her a PM to look into this thread, but I am unsure if she handles these things. I don't know what the multi-account rules of stake are. I know they do not allow the creation of multiple accounts. However, I am unsure if they allow multiple users to share their internet connection. It is possible they do not allow users to share their internet connection. But in this case, both accounts should have the same issue. But since your friend is actively gambling, there could be something else.

we don't know exactly why your friend's account wasn't suspended while yours was. but from what you said, of course, Stake detected the use of multiple accounts that all happened to be actively betting. plus you used a VPN as you said. that certainly made Stake suspicious to investigate further such as your deposit address history or your withdrawal address which might be connected. why are you using a VPN? Stake has regulations regarding that. 14.4 The attempt to manipulate your real location through the use of VPN, proxy, or similar services or through the provision of incorrect or misleading information about your place of residence, with the intent to circumvent geo-blocking or jurisdiction restrictions, constitutes a breach of Clause 5 of this Terms of Service.

I already sent her a PM to look into this thread, but I am unsure if she handles these things. [...] I don't think she will. It was one of the path I exhausted several months ago in pursuit of having Stake contact, as in the one that would want to exchange active communication, I don't want to be way too detail [or being any detail about that at all], but I bumped back into the situation where this board already "watched" by one of their staff, and its part of the staff's duty to forward the case to Stake's support team. So, yeah, perhaps it's best to leave Caroll out of this situation as this is not part of her task.

source: https://stake.com/policies/termsNot only this, OP also accessed from a shared internet of his dormitory. I am currently unable to access their ToS [they somehow require me to sign in just to read their ToS, and I've been unable to sign in for unknown reason for couple of days now] so I can't provide a screenshot of the clause, pretty much sure I have an older version of them somewhere in my gallery, but I have to run in short time and I don't have the luxury of scrolling past my screenshots and reading each and every one of them. But, the bottom line is, I believe there is also a clause of one household per user. Of which, OP also violated. By having several accounts in one dorm's IP, they consider this as a multiple account in one household, thus multi-acc abuse.

I pay for it if it was just a public network I would understand the clause of one household per user but in this case theres tons of people I know on campus who use stake and have had none of the issues when connecting. Plus I use a vpn everytime I connect so how would it even detect me on 'eduroam'.

Were they assigned a specific IP address for each and every student [given the students paid for it]?

Thanks for the response, but it's very likely your account got flagged for one of those reasons about. Maybe they saw the account sharing the same device ID, IP addresses etc. In a mean time, since they don't have an active representative who can help you find answers ASAP I suggest you look into their forum and also put up a similar complaint there. They have a very active forum and support board ( https://stakecommunity.com/board/8-support/)

Were they assigned a specific IP address for each and every student [given the students paid for it]?
I'm assuing it was specific IP addresses for each student since when paying for classes and things like that everyone got their own login. I'll appreciate if you can be sure instead of assuming. A video recording of you and your dorm-mate checking your IP through whatismyIP will probably be a nice way to be sure. Based on your description so far [and I asked around], with students logging in with their own credentials, was able to be stay connected across building [up to one mile away from the University buildings] and the name of the "EDUROAM" network, I believe it's actually a service that's massly adopted by universities worldwide [I believe mine too, though I rarely use it back when I was still a student]. In concept, they try to facilitate students, researchers, and educational employees access to "seamless" network as they working hand-in-hand by sharing wifi across universities [not faculties or buildings, universities]. So suppose there are universities in close proximities [which, from where I came from, it's kinda common as they tend to prefer to put a cluster of academic institutes in certain and specific part of the city, and another cluster on other part, but they're always in a cluster of relative walking distance] the students of each uni can basically in perpetual connection, as when they're out of their own uni's wifi range, they instantly walked into the other uni's range and hopped into the network through the other uni's wifi. The point, though, [and this is what I asked around] you're basically within the concept of shared wifi. The login you entered just act as a way to prove that the user is indeed a member of certain uni that joined EDUROAM, but it didn't grant you a specific IP. You still share the same IP with a bunch of students.

The issue with that is me and my roommate don't live in our dorm anymore. That was last year technically cause my account was suspended my last month of the semester. Now I live off campus. but I don't think it would matter because the guy who I tipped and tipped me just lived in my dorm and was not my roommate. My roommate did not gamble nor had stake. So would I still technically fall under Multi-Accounting if first off this is the reason they think I'm multi accounting since I'm using university wifi that I paid for myself and have my own login since its still technically the same network / wifi. I just really need clarification if they can actually suspend my account and withhold withdrawals solely because I was under a university wifi I don't think that should be even possible since theres probably thousands of university students who play stake. What steps should I take now?

Technically, you'll still subjected to the one-IP-one-household rule, but reflecting deeper into this matter, I believe casinos would make an exception for cases like this. I actually think they do already, making exception for IP that's registered as one from EDUROAM. Otherwise, there will be a lot of cases and complaint on this matter, as I assume hundreds of people accessed casino platform with similar internet setting as you. Actually... cross that. I had an oversight on the statement that you're always on VPN, so your IP shouldn't show as one of your uni's IP. Thus, there is a chance you were not considered and found in breach of same-IP situation. Simply the multi-acc [and probably the VPN clause]. Bear in mind that casinos don't simply rely on IP address to determine multi-acc violation. They have several parameter like betting preferences, device fingerprint, and several other things that they keep as secret to prevent abuse. Of which, as you logged into the same device as your friend and/or tipped each other, it probably ticked some of the boxes on their list as suspicious. What can you do now? Well, I guess wait patiently if you want to. This board is being swept periodically by one of their representative who will report to their team to be resolved. Hopefully they read your explanation here and re-try your case. Otherwise, you can escalate to AskGamblers of CasinoGuru if you want.

It's written on their TOS about that rule and every casino has that right whether to allow you to refund or not but it's most likely that they will in most cases if the violation isn't too deep for them. But they still have all the say if you have explained well your situation about your univ's wifi and etc. For your reference, for their TOS. 4.10 Should Stake have reason to believe that You have registered and/or used more than one Stake Account, or colluded with one or more other individuals using a number of different Stake Accounts, Stake shall be entitled to deem such accounts as constituting multiple Stake Accounts, and suspend or close all such Stake Accounts. Stake will also be entitled to retain the funds till the Player proves that he did not attempt to create multiple accounts.

Yes they just use it whenever they want to whoever they want, so it's just a legal quibble used to discriminate some customers from others actually, by unfairly applying it according to the customer. And of course a losing customer, with a low account balance is way less likely to get into trouble about that than a winning one with a large balance I guess... So if OP has made profits from them he will have to be patient and combative in short. I think it will be hard for you to avoid getting a passport and certainly a biometric one tbh @OP, along with several other documents from what you could see from other testimonials here.
