There is no other country where Bitcoin is accepted like El Salvador which is why it is the most searched country on Google. It is the only country in the world where daily necessities can be exchanged through Bitcoin. It is the only country where university and college students can directly participate in educational courses launched with Bitcoin.

I don't think that it will surprise anybody that has crypto knowledge that El Salvador, still remains the top country when you are talking about Bitcoin adoption on a national level afterall they don't have any competitors yet at the national level. Let them continue to enjoy the lone top spot until another country seizes the opportunity of hodling the store of value as a national asset and have their citizens spend it like their fiat then maybe we can see a comparison. Bitcoin adoption is driven by individuals, groups and institutions and it is doing very fine as it is but I guess that the adoption will increase faster if more countries will act like El Salvador.

El Salvador has been consistent in its Bitcoin policies, so it is right to see them top the list. The country has stood firm even when some international organisations such as the International Monetary Fund tried to discourage it from continuing with its pro-Bitcoin policies. Central African Republic repelled its laws which made Bitcoin a legal tender because of external pressures. But El Salvador has kept accumulating Bitcoin and has no plans to sell. Nayib Bukele has said that the country sees Bitcoin as a long-term investment. 

It is not also strange to see Nigeria on the list considering the youthful nature of the country's population and the devaluation of the Naira. Youths are mostly attracted to Bitcoin and a large percentage of the Nigerian population are youths. Citizens of the country are also using Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation.

Because El Salvador is the top crypto-friendly country and accepts Bitcoin as legal tender. So usually Google will recognise it as the number one Bitcoin-friendly country. Their Bitcoin adaptation is quite strong, legal tender means it would be used like their fiat currency. So till now, El Salvador is at the top as a Bitcoin supporter. Even the government is holding Bitcoin. I hope we will see more countries like El Salvador in the in the near future.

We still have country like Central African Republic (CAR) that have also legalized Bitcoin and where Bitcoin is making so much so much progress into their population. They are however, yet to catch up with El Salvador who are driving blockchain education, mining and at the same time buying Bitcoin. In addition, El Salvador seems to have more policies that encourages people to use Bitcoin and this is already showing in the general interest of their population in this new technology.

Bitcoin is no longer a legal tender in the Central African Republic. The law was repelled by the parliament after a few months. Bitcoin is a legal tender only in El Salvador. There was a genuine reason for this law but it might be connected to poor planning, infrastructural deficit and of course external influence.

I don't know how the numbers were collected but number of citizens in El Salvador felt disappointed with legal tender for Bitcoin in their country is not small and perhaps increases with time.

Nigeria with their political and economic problems, gives Nigerians reasons to dislike fiat currency Naira and pick alternatives like Bitcoin. Search on Bitcoin is high in Nigeria is explainable.

I don't know about what's going on in Switzerland, Netherlands and Slovenia because I think they are not too different than other countries in Europe.

With the acceptance of Bitcoin as their legal tender, no doubt why it is the top result when someone searches for a "bitcoin country". To be honest, when they didn't accepted it yet as a legal tender there are other countries that were considered one before. Like Malta, Japan, other Asian countries too. But because of this action that El Salvador did, they were the first in the history that has become an actual country that has adopted it.

Not to mention the other countries that became first crypto friendly countries. Central African Republic supposed to be the next one but they didn't continue it from happening. But soon, we will see some other countries that might also declare Bitcoin as their legal tender. It is only a matter of time but we should be happy that the number of countries that recognizes Bitcoin is increasing. Maybe sometime in the next months, there will be countries like UAE that will be more friendly to crypto because of the type of government and rules that they are setting.

It is no wonder that El Salvador is the number one country in bitcoin searches on Google Trends because this country is the first to adopt bitcoin comprehensively in one country. The reason is that the president of El Salvador realized that in addition to making bitcoin an alternative currency as a means of payment in buying and selling transactions, they also adopted bitcoin as an asset protector so it is very natural that many people end up searching for El Salvador on Google and are now number one.

Good to know that and honestly speaking, it should remain on the top.
Few years back, I didn't even knew El Salvador existed, my be my geography is weak but there was nothing about the country to remember it for.
But that has changed and El Salvador became the first country to accept bitcoin as a legal tender and the rest is history.
As bitcoin achieves more organic growth, I hope other countries will follow El Salvador's steps and accept bitcoin as a legal tender.

That is not true, Central African Republic rescinded their BTC laws because of issues prevalent in their country, i don't think the country thought it through before making such a law. CAR is a very poor country, so many people in their country know nothing about BTC, neither do they use it, just like El Salvador though. The decision was also a complete failure because of problems like poor electricity, poor internet connection and even political problems in the country, etc. yes, the IMF raised concerns, as they would likely do, but that is not the reason why the law was rescinded.

Hmm, TBH that's really not surprising at all as you know, Bitcoin is supported by El Salvador directly with legal grounds and that's the reason they stand at the top of search volume, and for sure they are gonna get replaced if somehow the countries like Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan accept bitcoin with similar legal grounds, even if the entire EU accept Bitcoin on larger scale cant compete with them because these countries are highly populated a significant number is of middle-age and youngsters.

That's a coincidence I was searching Bitcoin's keyword traffic vs gold when I logged into the forum today for the reference of my first post (First of this day), but then I found that this reference might be insufficient, and decided if this discussion goes on I'll try with more strong references. Anyway we can use those SS here as well.

Central African Republic decided to repel the law that made Bitcoin legal tender due to different reasons but external influence was a major factor. If you have read my post after the one you quoted, I mentioned factors like poor planning and infrastructural deficit let me also add a high rate of illiteracy. The IMF criticized the policy but the main attack came from the Bank of Central African States (BEAC). This regional apex bank controls the financial system of Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. 

Immediately CAR made Bitcoin a legal tender BEAC issued a statement declaring the CAR’s adoption of the new cryptocurrency law “null and void” and in violation of the tenets of the regional bloc. It was reported that the country had to bow to the pressure of the regional central bank until they came up with a policy on cryptocurrency. A country that doesn't have full control over its financial policy will not be able to make independent decisions.

On 26 July the Central African Republic (CAR) froze the application of its law adopting bitcoin as an official currency alongside its local currency, the Central African CFA franc, until the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) issues regulations for cryptocurrency throughout the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC).

I knew already that bitcoin is the most search keyword on the google, so if El-Salvador could be the first country to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender, then its nothing strange to behold seeing that its still the same to make it top on the list of google search engine, because the people there are more desperate in making use of bitcoin for their daily economic and financial activities, many were also eager to learn about how to make use of bitcoin to serve their personal use as an investment assets or digital currency.
