I knew already that bitcoin is the most search keyword on the google, so if El-Salvador could be the first country to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender, then its nothing strange to behold seeing that its still the same to make it top on the list of google search engine, because the people there are more desperate in making use of bitcoin for their daily economic and financial activities, many were also eager to learn about how to make use of bitcoin to serve their personal use as an investment assets or digital currency.

It's because El Salvador is the first country to adopt bitcoin as legal tender that's why it is the number one country for bitcoin search on google. It may change in the future if there are other countries also started to do the same as El Salvador that will also make bitcoin a legal tender. If El Salvador didn't make bitcoin as legal tender then the country won't be the top 1 on search about bitcoin. As you can see with the posts that many of us aren't surprised at all and even know the reason why it is the top.

Couldn't agree more. El Salvador is the first country that adopted bitcoin and use it as a legal tender, so Google has recognized it more than any countries in the world. Although there are several countries already that are considered crypto-friendly, but nothing can beat how El Salvador becomes so passionate and devoted about bitcoin, most likely because of its country's leader also that is also very addictive into bitcoin.

Central African Republic repelled its laws which made Bitcoin a legal tender because of external pressures.

That is not true, Central African Republic rescinded their BTC laws because of issues prevalent in their country, i don't think the country thought it through before making such a law. CAR is a very poor country, so many people in their country know nothing about BTC, neither do they use it, just like El Salvador though. The decision was also a complete failure because of problems like poor electricity, poor internet connection and even political problems in the country, etc. yes, the IMF raised concerns, as they would likely do, but that is not the reason why the law was rescinded.

Central African Republic decided to repel the law that made Bitcoin legal tender due to different reasons but external influence was a major factor. If you have read my post after the one you quoted, I mentioned factors like poor planning and infrastructural deficit let me also add a high rate of illiteracy. The IMF criticized the policy but the main attack came from the Bank of Central African States (BEAC). This regional apex bank controls the financial system of Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. 

Immediately CAR made Bitcoin a legal tender BEAC issued a statement declaring the CAR’s adoption of the new cryptocurrency law “null and void” and in violation of the tenets of the regional bloc. It was reported that the country had to bow to the pressure of the regional central bank until they came up with a policy on cryptocurrency. A country that doesn't have full control over its financial policy will not be able to make independent decisions.

On 26 July the Central African Republic (CAR) froze the application of its law adopting bitcoin as an official currency alongside its local currency, the Central African CFA franc, until the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) issues regulations for cryptocurrency throughout the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC).

We shouldn't also forget that El Salvador is a good torrist location, and for that this move will attract alot of bitcoin events in the future making El Salvador becoming the the world most friendly location.

They are a cryptocurrency friendly country in policy from government and regulation but their citizens are not too ready to adopt Bitcoin and cryptocurrency naturally. It's because a sudden big policy change in the country about 3 years ago in September 2021.

The government of El Salvador purchased ₿400, worth about $20.9 million at the time, on September 6. On September 7, 2021, the Bitcoin Law came into effect and bitcoin became legal tender in El Salvador, making it the first country in the world to do so.

Things for Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador changed very quickly but not naturally and local citizens were not well prepared to accept it. It will be changed naturally with time and with support from global adoption on Bitcoin.

There are several reasons why El Salvador is first in Google search. El Salvador is currently the first country in the world to fully legalize Bitcoin. Bitcoin is open in their country and completely free for open discussion, education about Bitcoin and how they can get rich faster with it. Starting from how to use Bitcoin professionally, various training initiatives are also taken. Because Bitcoin is not written in their children's curriculum and Bitcoin is used for financial transactions. So I wouldn't be surprised if the country of El Salvador is the first in the Google search engine with Bitcoin. The entire population of the country planning their future with Bitcoin so they must try to know better about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin searches on Google skyrocketed first when it was announced in El Salvador that Bitcoin was going to be legal tender. That trend was especially visible in June 2021. As far as I know, only El Salvador actually made the decision to make Bitcoin legal tender. I just don't know if in other countries they are talking about the adoption of bitcoin in their country because it is becoming a trend as time passes.

Apparently, if they don't really go with the flow, they can be left behind for sure. Although others are open to blockchain technology, they have not been able to make Bitcoin a legal tender because they still see its pros and cons.

Don't get surprised about that El Salvador is the only country which declare bitcoin as their legal tender. So for sure it will show as the number one top search in google since they don't have any competitor in that category.

The following country you mentioned is not doing any massive campaigns towards bitcoin so its reasonable that they are way behind than El Salvador. But if there are more country will announce it then make bitcoin as their legal tender to for sure the ranking of El Salvador might change with those reason. But still they are the one who will get benefit from it since more demand meaning more profit will come to their country since they are holding bitcoin for long time compare to other country.

But let see if we could see more legal tender or adaption announcement for other countries with bitcoin.

El Salvador is currently the major country where bitcoin is generally and widely accepted as a currency, and not just as a currency but it's also a legal tender, so it's absolutely expected that as long as there are no other countries yet where bitcoin is accepted like it is in El Salvador, El Salvador will continue to be the country with the number one search as it relates to bitcoin.

Many of the citizens will love to learn more about bitcoin daily basis, and for this need, they will be searching for answers to their enquires through all sort of available search engines, so, I am honestly not surprised.
And this is not to mention that that president of El salvador is always on X (formally known as twitter) always posting about bitcoin and the importance of its adoption.

And talking about other countries in the top five, Nigeria is also very active in the cryptocurrency community, and the Nigerian crypto community is one of the fastest growing community in the world, this is despite the fact that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency transactions are still banned in the country, it amazing to be honest.

Their requirement is a staggering BTC300,000 imagine that for a country that has a GDP of only 32.49B USD that invenstment is almost half of rheir GDP.

It is actually not surprising at all that El Salvador is the #1 country in Bitcoin searches on Google because it is the first country in the world to officially adopt Bitcoin and accepting Bitcoin payments has become mandatory so the population needs a lot of knowledge about Bitcoin, methods of sending transactions, wallets, etc.

What is surprising to me is that Slovenia and Switzerland are on the list. I do not know much about the Bitcoin situation there, but I did not think that people were interested in Bitcoin, which is encouraging.

Hype always happen when there's a good news before and by the time EL Salvador announce to make bitcoin as their legal tender is a huge news before that's why lots of people got hype with this news then think about that something great will happen next that's why this news create some short term demand. Many also thought that what EL Salvador did could attract lots of countries to do similar decision but so far it didn't happen yet. Although they don't have great economy to create much bigger impact to bitcoin but they became a strong foundation for people to think that bitcoin will stay for long time and it will not diminish by any entity because adaption happened is great when there's a country make it as their legal tender. But for now we cannot hope for something great to happen regarding on those first world country to adapt bitcoin then make it as their legal tender since they have their own interest to protect and for sure they don't want to get bothered by bitcoin for now.

Good for those countries, I’m not sure what that gets them other than the bragging rights or if that even means they are so much higher inclined in Bitcoin usage etc. It’s clear that a lot of other major players aren’t coming up in the top search ranks and I’m sure that will change with time.

You are right. It was only El Salvador who first promoted bitcoin and adopted it eventually not only as an investment tool but more likely as a daily currency. There could be other countries as well who are bitcoin friendly but they only see it as an investment that has a good store of value, using it as a legal tender still needs a lot of observation and discussion that until now it isn’t adopted yet as a currency.
