This is the whole basis for the gamblers fallacy. People get a warped perception in their mind that they are somehow "owed" a win just because they've put so much money into the casino, but it's absolute rubbish and a person who is running their first spin has exactly the same odds as someone who lost $100k playing slots. It is like double-edged sword, at one side it may give you a chance to hit something huge someday if you are lucky but at the other side it will only give you more chance to lose more and more money without any luck till you out of money.

I also think thesame too, after thinking how much I will lose before I could win, I gave up. Although I might be lucky but it seam more like a fairytale. There is no certainty that when playing games with either lesser odd someone would win although there is every possibility that winning may come more often than those with higher odds, but the most important is how moderate one could be while playing it. A game of chance is all about probability.  In due time his choice will win but the question is when.  There is no doubt that what you are saying holds true.  There are people who happen to win a jackpot prize by betting the same number again and again.

Whenever I fix my mind in winning a jackpot, I end up losing so miserably. The few times I won something significant were when I least expected and out of thin air it just happened. This made me come to the conclusion that jackpot is entirely a thing of luck. Its possible look at 3 digit lotteries I sometimes win in that game with pretty small bet and win the jackpot it can be also possible to any other risky game unless the game itself is manipulated or you are bad luck.

It just doesn't work that way. Casino games are independent of each other, any prior bets that you have will and always have no relation to the current bet you're playing for. Assuming that it is just calls for you to lose more money lol. Even if you try to play countless games with low bets/high odds the answer would still be the same. The reason why the stories in the article OP references are interesting or are gaining attention is because these cases are rare. You can hardly find people winning big with such odds. Just like the article said, a gambler might be lucky to win big anytime and any day. But from my experience in gambling, the greater the financial risk, the better your chances of winning big. If your goal is to make big money from gambling, you will increase your chances by putting in a substantial amount and also choosing low odds. There is this possibility, however, you chances are going to be slim and still boils down on how lucky you are. There are this individuals who are very lucky, even winning multiple lottery.
