After the long stories about the possibility of dangote refinary being handed over to the federal government and the possibility of them abandoning and it like the other non functional refinaries, dangote refinary has officially presented the first sample of the PMS and The 650,000-capacity refinery has officially done a test run of the product.

NNPC is said to be the sole buyer of the PMS at this intial stage ans according to dangotes team, " if Nigerians refuses to petronize the product, they will be left with no option than taking thier market off the shores of the country.

What do you make of this? Will this cause a direction reduction in the price of petrol and help reduce the rate of inflation in the country?

Is it possible that the decision of dangote to sell the PMS to NNPC as her primary buyer is suggesting they've partly given ownership of the company to the FGN or they're in partnership with them?

Yes, it will definitely reduce the price of fuel, inflation in the country  because Dangote will make sure he reduce the price of the market for the fuel to be surplus within the country for people to test the quality of their products, I discovered that Dangote has make the price of diesel to reduced since he started producing diesel, which is the fear of NNPC managements not to allow Dangote refinery to start producing fuel yet because they know that it will expose so many things in that NNPC, and many people in the NNPC managements will go to prison for the corruption in that sector, I believe the federal government will instruct NNPC to supply Dangote crude oil and also permit Dangote to distribute fuel to every part of the world, because without NNPC permit Dangote to distribute fuel, there is no way this refinery can be  a benefits to our country.

Don't even think about price reduction in the petroleum section, the NNPC are the one to give Dangote the price which he will sell the products. However as at today, there are news already circulating on the mainstream media that, NNPC has officially increased the price of PMS to 850 Naira per litre. also the capacity of Dangote refinery alone cannot supply enough PMS for the entire country, we still need both the port Harcourt refinery and that of warri to be fully functional before we can have surplus supplies within the country, else we will be battling price continuously with independent marketers because they are the one's that bring in this refined product to the country. Nobody will go to prison in NNPC because they are the cabals in charge of this current adminstration.

It was quite amazing to see the fracas between Dangote and the federal government even though it was not entirely surprising because, on one hand I was looking at the construction of the refinery as an investment that was silently done by some of these big wigs in the system. Since I was aware that Dangote had to source for other investors from within and outside, namely the domestic investors and the foreign investors. My little thought was that those investors were populated by the, what they call "Oil Cabals" and I saw that as the reason why he was so confident to go into that route where many top business men are scared of.

I don't support this idea of NNPCL being the sole buyer of the PMS products from Dangote Refinery. I suppose it was meant to be an open market for the companies in the system but not this form of monolopy in the sector. Remember, NNPCL is no longer a full fledged government property but now a limited company, so I don't see why federal government will dictate who buys or not, their products.

Now, what this means is that NNPCL are now the new giants in the sector and to a large extent the determinants of the fuel pump price in the country. I try to equate the number of NNPC filling stations which is just around 1000 filling stations  out of the 150,000 filling stations in Nigeria. How do you really quantify or justify this? Everything about this oil and gas sector is just confusing and unreasonable.

In the end, the fuel price hasn't been reduced as we Nigerians anticipated. Currently, Nigerians are buying fuel at the rate of 1200naira to 1500naira. So, nothing wey don change for the price of fuel despite the Dangote refinery operation.

For this our country, na from fuel wey our presidents the siphon countries money wella. Buhari was petroleum minister for 8 years. Tinubu don become em own by removing fuel subsidy wey other Nigeria president no fit remove.

There is news that, NNPCL don transfer ownership to Tinubu nephew.

With this kind development, the price of fuel products dey under Tinubu nephew hand. Em go decide at what rate the fuel price will be sold to all Nigeria's by Dangote refinery and other subsequent refinery wey go open. At the end of this, nothing wey change. The suffering continues. The Tinubu government still d in charge

The worst mistake that could be made is underestimating our government, if they should be good at anything is knowing how to make all alliances be under their control. The whole issue that came up with them suspending the operation of Dangote's refinery was all in getting into an agreement which the business mugul (Dangote) is left with no option than to accept. As of what it is now, clearly the NNPC are in control, the operation of the refinery doesn't seem like a way out because the price control is it associated with the same group of people who already has a hand in all the fuel price increase.

When I hear that there is scarcity of fuel I really wonder for the truth or just another pattern created by the government to operate on their plans. I clearly don't know what the outcome of the refinery will amend, from the look of things it might add little or no difference.

People wey Dey steal money through importation of fuel go Dey affected, so Dey don Dey look for alternative to keep on steal, I don’t even know who do dis country, everybody Dey happy because of dangote refinery, now e don start production, and price Dey go up.

That's exactly what I was saying, that the price cannot remain the same especially from the explanation NNPCL and those in leadership are telling us, because from the explanation NNPCL said the price of petrol will be determined by the market forces, which means they don't have a definite say of what the amount should be because of the landing cost marketers incure. Dangote hands are tied as he cannot go against the price government wants. Of course even with the refinery Dangote has suffered to build nothing had changed, given this particular policies they are bringing.
