They dominated, they struck, they had everything, but they could only win in the second half. For me personally, at the beginning of the game it looked like a clear win for Portugal, but it didn't really turn out that way

Spain showed their class This is what I can say when looking at Spain's performance today. They lost Robbin Le Normand in the first 20 minutes which indirectly changed their momentum where when the attacking pattern that was intertwined at the beginning of the first half was changed to a defensive scheme that was carried out.

But even though they did a defensive scheme, we can see how different the level is even the counterattack that they always do is very effective where from 9 chances that are shot, 8 of them are on target and 4 can be converted into goals.

This is a situation that I didn't expect because even though I felt that Spain would win this match (before the match started) but after the red card they received I didn't think that they would win by a significant score against Switzerland.

I admit that the tactics brought by Luis to face Switzerland were indeed extraordinary to add 2 goals in the second half and they only played -1, this shows how solid their formation is even though they lack one player in their defense, Spain in Luis' hands might bring victory again this season.

We know that Switzerland is also not a careless team, they have quite good and solid players, but here we are talking about the quality of strategy and players combined that made Spain win this match perfectly, the next match against Denmark who is undefeated, even beating Serbia who held Spain to a draw in their first match, this will be a great threat if Spain loses, but I think they can win.

I don't see Denmark staying at the top for long because they still haven't played against the best in their group which is Spain and when that time comes I expect to see a very serious battle between both teams, it is either Spain get their first loose or the Denmark side lose just as we saw Switzerland losing tonight because the way things are going the Spanish side are not in the mood to drop a single point and they're ready to take advantage of any opportunity they have.

I was actually wishing to see Nagelsmann managing a club instead of a national team. Because there is a really nice trend of signing young managers for big clubs these days. However he is really doing great at Germany lately. He has changed the way this team play.    It looks like those good old days of Germany is back. The one which has no mercy on their opponents...

Like this Hungary match. I love Nagelsmann football. He likes to dominate every match. I really liked his game against Spain in Euro 2024 also even though they got eliminated.

Right? He'd really kill it but I'm glad he accepted to take over Germany and his positive mentality is rubbing off on the team and it's like there's a new revivial in the camp, those who were not serious before he came seem to have caught on and are doing better. I really love their coordination and cooperation and it will make any opponent always be on their guard so they won't get taken unawares.
 I bet you Hungary didn't expect to be punished by the number of goals and somehow they were expecting they could close down the goal deficit when the first one entered and I saw how their captain, Dominik Szoboslai ensured he make the team not lose their confidence but in football, there's just do much one person can do for the team and eventually he got worn out.

Since he turned 30 years, Cristiano Ronaldo have now scored more international goals than the all time top scorers of England, Spain, Italy Netherlands, Germany, France and even Brazil. This is unbelievable numbers if you ask me. Cristiano Ronaldo have broken and set many records in football but there some that I think are impossible to break and this one is definitely one of the them. To even think that he's still fit to continue playing for the national team at his age is another reason why Cristiano Ronaldo deserves all the media attentions he's getting at the moment.

 Two losses in two games isn't a record you want to go with if you are in a group that houses the likes of Spain, Denmark and Serbia. All these ones have points to their names and nothing to speak for when it comes to Switzerland and I'm willing to bet my money they'd not even make it out of the group stages.

Well Portugal played with my nerves, as usual, when I wanted them to lose they lead from the first quarter with 2:0, and when I put one tiny bet on them they screw till the last minute

I do not like the Nations league but decided to test the waters yesterday and it was successful. I did the same thing today and won (thankfully). I missed the chance to bet on Portugal and Spain before both matches started. It didn't take long before spain was up 0-2. So I knew there was no way to bet on them. Portugal was down early and towards the end of half time, their odds had moved from 1.27 to close to 2 odds (1.95 odds to be exact) so I took the bet there along with a Croatia Moneyline bet.

Happy with the results but enjoyed watching Switzerland vs Spain more considering Spain added 2 more goals despite being a man down for most part of the game.

Fr, I had my misgivings about the Nations league in the past but these games definitely packs some action. I was fortunate to have seen the Switzerland vs Spain game and it gave me some Euro 2024 vibe especially as Spain was already up by 2 goals before the 15th minute and that early red card to Le Normand from Spain. From all those actions from Spain game to that late winner by Portugal from Ronaldo, I can say for a fact that I'm beginning to enjoy the Nations league but it's by no means anywhere close to club football, Euros or the world cup.

Modric scored the only goal in the match, which became the winning goal for Croatia. At his current age (39), he contributed a lot to his national team. He even played full time, even though when he was at the club, he rarely played full-time.

Spain are just humiliating the game. Everyone has a great day like every player has just dominated the game with great performance especially Yamal Jamal, F. Ruiz, Joselu and F. Torres etc. These are players who are just cooking the Switzerland.
 
F. Ruiz put two goals into the net while Joselu and F. Torres scored single goals. At the beginning of the game everyone is expected that indeed Spain will be the winner but R. Le Normand red card makes them a little bit hazy, and with this opportunity in first half Switzerland play beautiful football and struggle for goals, but unfortunately they failed with few disallowed goals. But anyway Spain make them smashed with only 10 players and get the three points to become 2nd in the table standings.
 
But to be honest, the match was a joy to watch. I really enjoyed the match. Espana just smashed the Switzerland with a 4-1 banger.

Quite some interesting fixtures last night. Cristiano Ronaldo knows how to do it (score), as he scored at a crucial moment to give his team all 3 points. Although I didn’t watch the game live, but I could hear my whole neighborhood scream during the Siu celebration. As for the Spain game, I think Switzerland tried to put up a tough fight, but Spain is called the defending champions for a reason. After Spain received a red card, the momentum of the game changed. Switzerland tried everything, but they just couldn’t capitalize on the red card advantage. Joselu's performance was incredible. With how he played, I think Madrid’s project still suits him, even though starting eleven is a doubt.

I just checked today’s fixtures, there are two games I am looking forward to. France vs Belgium and Norway vs Austria. These two games are worth watching out for. I don't really understand what's happening to Norway. They’ve always struggled to qualify for international competitions. They drew their last game, even though I was rooting for them to win. Austria is the underdog here, but they were impressive during the Euros. I can’t predict the outcomes of these two games, but I think I will watch one or maybe both at the same time.

the Portugal coach isn't putting Cristiano Ronaldo in at the start of the game, I'm now looking at the players who will start and Cristiano Ronaldo isn't there:

The first half was not good for Portugal. Although they played aggressively and managed to create many chances. They have not scored a goal to equalize. Scotland managed to lead temporarily 0-1 through Mc Tominay's goal in the 7th minute. I am sure Ronaldo will be brought in in the second half and try to win the match. There were 16 shots made by Portugal in the first half, but it did not result in a goal. And bringing in Ronaldo might create new hope. I also bet on Portugal, if they lose I will lose the win from the other match.

Congratulations on getting your bet right. Portugal has a very good squad, they have many players with great skills and who are playing in the big teams in the best leagues, they should be able to go very far in the World Cup, but unfortunately they haven't been able to. They only have success in competitions like this.

UEFA Nations League is another useless competition that only contributes to injuries and harms teams. With so many games, players will be exhausted and consequently teams will have a poor performance which makes predicting the results of games more difficult.

Many players have complained about it, but their complaint has fallen on deaf ears, and just as Kevin de Bruyne said, it is obvious that there are many money individuals behind it. That is why UEFA and FIFA have not cared to pay attention to the complaints of the players. Some clubs will suffer most because their players will be lacking rest due to the tight football schedule. Arsenal was almost a victim with Caliofori's injury scare, but luckily it was not serious.

The score in Portugal against Scotland is 2-1, Ronaldo with the second goal that will give Portugal the victory here, his 901th career goal.

As it is, I can't wait for Spain and Germany to meet again during this tournament.
