To begin with, I think the name chosen is misleading. Also, lately he is opening in my opinion generally stupid threads in the gambling section.

There is no official Bitcointalk Slack AFAIK. This user seems to be a long-standing alt account. I wouldn't trust them, however, or visit their Slack, purely based on the content of their posts & subjects of interest. Not sure its worth adding a trust rating over -- everybody who logs into Slack should already be aware of the potential dangers of doing so.

It looks misleading to say "sign in to bitcointalk" though. But since it's slack.com, I assume that doesn't give him access to passwords, even if the user is dumb enough to reuse his password.

I tried using https://ninjastic.space/search, but it seems that user never create any post or thread where he promote his Slack group/community. Personally i don't trust that user and so far nobody knows what kind of topic/content shared on that group/community.

There is only one Bitcointalk which is this forum.

Sites that has almost similar name with another site most of the time has bad intention. No one should trust the user and his site.

Exactly. The Op's intention is not genuine because he can't have bitcoin talker as a username and his website is bearing another domain name. And as you said from the tag, nobody should register with the link because there's a clear deception from that user with the two names. As it is said again unknown people might fall victim of it.

I support your tag for warning people to steer clear from the user. And if anyone refused or make a deaf ear and register then anything happens, he will not come here and lay a complain.

All of his topics he has started lately seem to be leading towards how to cheat casinos. How to use a VPN to bypass so and so, how to pass kyc, Mediators, casinos methods to keep your money etc. Almost likes he's working up a how to guide on cheating casinos IMO. Could be totally wrong but something does feel off about the guy.

It looks like password for member bitcoin talk was changed recently, so there is a chance it has been hacked.
I don't know if he can scam anyone or he only want's to create bitcointalk community there.
I won't give them negative feedback but I would like to se his explanation.

It could be a way of collecting user email address from forum members who attempt to join his work space (more like reverse engineering). I have an account with slack, but I have never fully understood how it works since it's less popular compared to discord
If he had good intentions, at least he would have announced it in the forum, just like some members announced the forum's unofficial discord server.

I certainly agree--this member has been here since 2016 and apparently flew under the radar until now, which I find interesting.  I wonder how many other registered usernames are similar to his.  I haven't done a search, but I'd imagine there are quite a few, and who knows what they're up to.

Probably something along those lines, and if not specifically what you proposed then I'm almost certain it's nothing good.

Here are two quick results of my search for the username. The first one doesn't use spaces [6 users] - the second one does with spaces [3 users]. Using bpip.org - we can easily find them all.

I don't know what the motives of all the above users are in choosing their usernames like that - but suspicious behavior is absolutely not tolerated. They are not to be trusted and negative tags are the consequences.

I sent the user a pm telling them to feel free to come here and explain themselves to the community. They haven't logged in for 3 days so who knows when they will read the pm and if they will reply. I imagine if they are sincere, they will want to dispute the red tags on their accounts. Guess all we can do now is wait and see what happens.

Hard to tell the truth.
Perhaps he is trying to use the exact name and he does not have a bad intention. It also does not look like that the user will ever response to this topic. I would not trust such users but I will not go and leave a negative feedback for that too.

The website is misleading and possibly a scam site. This is likely a trap using bitcoin talk name to get at members here. I had to check the website for myself and I found out a download option for visitors and members to click and download their app. Who knows if the download link is a trap to infiltrate device with malwares to steal details from people.

There is probably far more chance of the member in question abandoning the account than him coming to this thread to defend himself against wave after wave of post questioning his motives. The fact he deliberately or inadvertently used the similar name as this forum, it probably means he has to be distrusted regardless. Of all the names out there he chose that one. I wonder what effect your PM will have on him.

I don't know what's inside because I didn't sign in, but the words "sign in to bitcointalk" seem a bit suspicious. Anyway, we can't really tell his intention since there's no clear announcement about the purpose of signing in. Hopefully, he sees this thread so he can explain. Maybe I'll try to PM him to get some clarification, though it does look a bit fishy.
