Although I'm not new here, I’m reaching out and making this post because I believe someone here may be able to assist me. Unfortunately, I’ve been having difficulty connecting with the administration regarding my name change request, despite multiple attempts to reach out.

I can’t help but feel a bit concerned about the lack of response. I understand that everyone has their own priorities, but I’ve noticed that some admins I've reached out to previously about my request have been active recently.

Contact theymos again to change it for you. If it is not changed, just take it like that. Some people that have good reasons to change their username on this forum were able to change their usernames. Admin changed it for them.

It could be you have been sending pm to mods instead of Theymos. Only Theymos can change your username. Keep sending a reminder to Theymos that you want a name change. Give a good reason why you want to change your username and if it meets his criteria, he will change your username.

As mentioned, my request is based on the need for verification and to protect my LLC name, which I believe are valid concerns. I hope those reasons would match Theymos’s criteria. Thank you for your help in clarifying the proper procedure!

Forum moderators are not responsible for username change. Only theymos or Cyrus can do it for you so now, contact the right people.

I don't think they will change your username immediately I'm sure they are busy both Cyrus and theymos but there's other way to change your forum username I'm sure they are going to change it immediately however, you can't maybe able to afford it.

Yeah, that will be ridiculous but if admins will update the price to change the username up to the standards of the current era only, then will it become easy for us to change the username but it will be a bit hard for me (personally) when people here will be changing their username too often. They can spam others by changing names.

BTW what business you are running here for which its necessary for you to have the same name? I hope your request will be accepted as there were some members that got their name changed,, like there was mk4 whose previous name was mjglqw you can find more cases like this one on the following thread where members have shared their stories, like how they got their username changed. So by reading them, you can get some idea of how to convince admins.

My eyes popped open when I was 50bitcoins. I punched my calculator to know the value in 2014 when the rule was made and now. In 2014, one bitcoim was around $300. In 2024, it is around
$57,000. That is a whole lotta money. I know some folks who changed username. Someone in my local board did change their username. You may need to be persistent and patient in your request. All the best.

I guess one of the main reasons members change their username is because of security reasons. They were about it convince the administrators that such change is important. I also know that a certain campaign manager changed his name because of business concerns. Which means your reason can be considered worthy. You just have to be patient and periodically remind the administrator about your request.

Hahaha that’s too much money to spend for changing one’s username on a online forum. You quoted a post from 2014, the price of 50bitcoins then and now are not the same. OP wouldn’t even consider such an expensive option. 
OP don’t expect your request to be accepted immediately, keep sending pms to Theymos occasionally and if you’re lucky he will accept. As far as I know, he has accepted quite a few of these requests in the last couple of years so keep trying.

You obviously want to change your name to BitVipCoins (₿it VIP Coins) in order to promote your business more successfully on the forum. So maybe it's easier for you to register an alternative account with that name?

I've rarely seen the name change here on this forum, at least in my entire timeline there was name changes 2 times, once for the paid2 and second for the Skepticalchemist as far as i know, well there can be some other names but I dont know about them, but you need to know haha its very expensive to change name according to the VIp plan but if theymos give you a chance that's an exceptional case.

Or you can go for a new account registration. Once I can accumulate 100k BTC i will help you in changing the name.

We joined the forum in the same year although you’re months ahead of me. I can think of 4 other popular accounts who have changed their username during the time we’ve been here. I don’t think it’s necessary to mention their names because I believe it defeats the point of the name change. In my opinion, the reason OP gave is good enough to get his request approved. Theymos has probably approved the request of others but we can’t know them all unless they are popular names.

I haven't yet requested name change myself as I'm happy with my current username but I believe it could be only changed by Theymos. If you can send a good private message to Theymos and if he reads it and consider your name change request genuine then there's chance that he might change your username OP, otherwise you will have to keep the same username that you've picked during registration.
