Hello. does anyone know if there are options/steps that a US-based customer could taketo trade BTCB (BEP-20) or Tether (BEP-20) to BTC, ETH, or FIAT?

It seems like all the exchanges that used to allow for this or not allowing it, restricting or shutting down operations in the US completely including binance.com
, binance.us, kukoin, gateway.io, kraken (no BEP), PancakeSwap (used to allow to trade for BTC).
Are there any workable, trustworthy soutions/exchanges anyone has found?

A way to use a VPN from another county, convert the coins to BTC and then send to US-account?

I read only one negative experience of simpleswap.com
Has anyone else used this and what was the experience?

BACKGROUND:
Binance.us shutting down in my state, withdrawal of BTC did not work for me so I was forced to withdraw as BTC BEP-20.
I have BEP-20 BTCB and BNB in Coinbase and was able to transfer some out into Pancakeswap which I could switch to Tether BEP-20.

If you were me, what would you do and steps to take?

If nothing, do you think at some point an exchange would allow for BEP-20 with other networks?

Thank you so much in advance for your thoughts, this has been stressful and depressing   Cry

I wanted to answer just exchange your BTCB to other currency, but I found that BTCB isn't tradeable on Coinbase.

Bitcoin BEP2 (BTCB) is not tradable on Coinbase.

I'm not sure which trustworthy no KYC exchange that accept BTCB, mostly they only accept BTC on chain or BTC lightning network.

I guess FixedFloat might be the most safe sites from this list, it has been around for many years.

Another solution you can trade with users in this forum by posting your offer in this board.

I think you should have by now be quite of the regulations in US over cryptocurrency in general, i will advice you make use of a decentralized exchange to perform any of your exchange, or in other ways, try make use of the accredited escrow service providers or exchangers on the forum here for them to help you out in achieving your goal on that.

decentralized exchange

Other information regarding exchangers on the forum could be seen from the service board or service discussion board.

To be clearer, you have Bitcoin (BTC) on the BEP20 network and you want to convert it to the asset you want but currently the CEXs that used to support it no longer support it, right?

If you just want to change your Bitcoin (BTC) BEP20 to another asset, you can use The Change, they are a new exchange on the forum and have representatives here, so if there is a problem you can make an accusation. Currently The Change supports multichain for various assets, for example Bitcoin (BTC), they have BEP2, BEP20 & ERC20 versions. You can try it by yourself.

Both Bisq and Hodlhodl are not having BTCB pair, neither having USDT on BSC. He can use those exchanges that are Web3 that Binance coin on the Binance smart chain is their native coin. If the Web3 exchange support BTC and USDT, he will have no problem.

Your best bet would be to convert that BTCB to BNB and then sell it on a decentralized platform like Bisq. I mean It's very unlikely to land up in such a weird position where you have to deal with BTCB. You should always avoid all these Exchange coins or blockchains. And to convert from BTCB to BNB, you can use PancakeSwap and a Metamask wallet.

And if you are only looking for a CEX, here are your options: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-bep2/#Markets

I bet you can still move the BTCB around yeah? Create a new wallet on OKX wallet and use their in-change swap function, you can swap the BTCB to other digital currencies, even the most volume less tokens that I had was tradable through OKX wallet, I was shocked as well, because there is no volume left, I guess it was possible because OKX wallet is fully web3 capable.

I am quit surprised that this is still ongoing in the US, this shouldn't be happening and yet some idiots want Kamala to get elected as the president, many crypto companies have left the US and many more will end up leaving once Kamala Harris starts showing her hatred on Crypto with Gary Gensler as her side kick.

Drop a feedback later OP, as I strongly believe that OKX wallet is capable of solving this issue, good luck.

That's who BTCB looks like in OKX wallet, make sure you have some BNB for gas fee, $0.50 BNB will get the job done, don't forget to say thanks. Cheers.

Recommend to move fund in that likely 'compromised' wallet to a new wallet is a good advice, but the rest is not.

OKX web3 wallet is close source as I thought and after checking today. Correct me if it is open source. The mother company OKX started with a centralized exchange, that went full KYC months ago.

If you see no risk by using OKX web3 wallet, ok let's go but I won't pick this web3 wallet.

AFAIK, there is no onion link on their official site so I am afraid TOR is no more available but they doesn't need registration and even got telegram bot so there is no issue with trying them with the minimum value.

But as of this moment, the trading pair shows unavailable and last time this happened their support said they are running some maintenance so when the site backs online OP can go with the minimum possible trading amount and see he can do it successfully before proceeding with multiple centralized exchanges.

If you don't want to gi through KYC and signing up then you can try using this website. You don't need to create an account and all you need to do is send btcb, fill up wallet address that you wanted the btc to be received and then press exchange now. To complete the exchange, you have to send the exact amount of crypto that you wanted to sell like for example, xlm to btc or depends on what crypto you want to exchange it with.

Well the problem is that shittokens are mainly traded on shitexchanges and you shouldn't really expect any decent exchange to list the worst of them, specially the scam ones. This is why your options get limited all of a sudden.
In any case your best option seems to be the decentralized exchange called Bisq for now.

Centralized exchanges are good to build up their honey pots with many different attractive and seem-to-be profitable programs so that their users who are new in this market, lack of knowledge and experience, feel like joining those programs, will help them gaining extra money and get rich.

The hidden fact which is untold and not warned by centralized exchanges is, these programs are good at stimulating user activities to bring more busienss income to centralized exchanges while users mostly lose money.

The main goal here is to get rid of BTCB to other coins, OKX wallet can be closed source like you said and that's not a problem because I am not advising OP to keep the BTCB inside the OKX wallet, I expect him to sell the BTCB coin for another digital coins and move them out back to main wallet, the goal is swapping of BTCB not using OKX wallet for holding BTCB.

Most web3 wallets are all closed source by the way, if you know which is open source it will help if you drop their names on here, I have been using OKX wallet for a very long time now but I don't use it for storingsyroing my valuable assets, the trading or swapping of this wallet is one of the easiest out there.

Another good feature of this wallet is the extremely low transaction fee, while uniswap and others will take high amounts for gas fees this OKX inbuilt swap will take a small amount and still get the job done, I am not advising anyone to use OKX wallet to keep their crypto assets for long term but this wallet is good use as a hot wallet.

Are there any workable, trustworthy soutions/exchanges anyone has found?

A way to use a VPN from another county, convert the coins to BTC and then send to US-account?

I read only one negative experience of simpleswap.com
Has anyone else used this and what was the experience?

Hey there.
Lately, I have been using https://thechange.ltd/en, an instant exchanger. You can even use this exchange without signing up. This Exchange does not require KYC, but they reserve the right to ask for documents. You can send BTC BEP20 and receive Bitcoin on the Native Bitcoin network. There are thousands of trading pairs. I recommend them because they are running a campaign in this forum, and they have around $10K USD in escrow, so even if you face any kind of problem, you can ask them about it. I recommend you try a small amount first and do multiple exchanges. Never go all in on any exchanges. Do not forget to ask if they allow customers from the US.
