Another thread talking about corrupt politicians and whether they support or stand against BTC and crypto in general. I don't see the point of these threads to be frank since they aren't really going to influence the outcome of the upcoming elections to any degree.

Why? Because anyone with a half-decent brain knows that these corrupt politicians don't give a crap about crypto. Pointless Trump support crap.
Sometimes a heavy headliners affects the outcome of market too. It may seems not relevant but this somehow have effect on policies those politicians do for crypto. Its not about bitcoin alone but theres plenty of other crypto that might be affected based on the US election.

You might be right that these Runners are not giving at least care for crypto but it reflects on the country's ties regarding cryptocurrency which affect the whole cryptomarket as a whole.

From their public stances on Bitcoin market to proposals for new policies and actual approvals then enforcement of new policies, is a long time to go. People love news and they have abundant news with many things will be only news and never become actual new policies and enforcement.

Weak hands love chasing for news but they don't realize that news shake their weak hands and they lose their precious bitcoins because of news.

When they realize this fact, they will have stronger hands and have less interest on chasing news.

I know the statistics say it is true but I generally dislike statistics and do not trust them much.  Do you really think around or over 20 percent of the Americans have bought Cryptocurrencies?

I believe the percentage is unrealistically high, or maybe I am the one with an unrealistic expectation or perspective.  While I think a significant number of people would be affected by an Anti Bitcoin Government, I do not think the number would be significant enough to trigger a noticeable change in the unemployment rate or the Economy.  Particularly considering that even if over 20 percent of the Americans purchased Cryptocurrencies, that does not guarantee they are still holding on to them.  Maybe they purchased years ago and now only under 5 percent of them are still interested in them.

What is your opinion?

no one knows about the situation you said, it's all beyond our control, they won't announce how much BTC/crypto they have, at least if trump is elected, the existence of bitcoin is 75% real because it is recognized by country 1, the supporter of the world economy

Bitcoin will be fine either way.  But the US still thinks it operates in a world where other nations don't exist.  So yeah, go ahead and further isolate yourself by electing a convicted felon who no other nation on Earth will want to deal with.  See what that does for your standing on the world stage.  Morons.

KH's appearance to me seems like she's a very reserved and conservative government official. However, most of what she and Biden accomplished doesn't really resonate much to me in a positive way. I don't hate the woman, I just don't think her reforms are 'clicking' in the current state of the US' societal and economic affairs.

On the other hand, you have Trump who's unhinged most of the time, but does what he says. I just don't like how this man acts, I guess, but between the two presidential candidates, Trump is the obvious lesser evil for bitcoin and crypto development.

If there's anything I learned in my country's politics, you will never have an entirely clean candidate. You'll always have to choose who's the lesser evil between the choices and who you think is the most likely candidate to champion your agenda. To me, Trump does seem like he's likely to help crypto grow

This is where you are completely wrong. You don’t support a politician because he/she is evil or not. You support someone because it benefits you. That’s why crypto people should support Trump. He is our guy.

The other candidate is an anti-freedom commie shit.

To me, Trump does seem like he's likely to help crypto grow

To put it bluntly, this is just a deal between us and the politicians. Politicians need our support to win while we vote for them because we expect them to benefit us. Nothing is free or we are helping each other, we are just exchanging benefits with each other even though they are in a more proactive position than us.

People love to criticize politicians for being evil and lying but can we guarantee that we would be better off than them if we were in their shoes? Human nature is greedy, jealous, selfish...and we all are. We speak ill of them, and hate them because we don't have what they have.

To me, Trump does seem like he's likely to help crypto grow

This where you are completely right.

I believe it too but I am not a fan of Trump and I have my neutral thinking, let me explain.

Economy globally is affected seriously by Covid-19, in all countries not only in the USA. This widely terrible economic impact from Covid-19 pandemic means that politics, governments, the party that is in charge of power in a nation, are not main reasons of worse economy. Reasons come from many things, nation-wide and global-wide and if a next President is not Trump, economy in the USA. will continue its recovery.

It makes sense to clearly avoid all attribution of economic growth in next four years to Donald Trump if he becomes a next Elected President. I believe his policies are better than Kamala Harris, not only economic policy, but it's not true to attribute all national achievements to his policies.

You might be right that these Runners are not giving at least care for crypto but it reflects on the country's ties regarding cryptocurrency which affect the whole cryptomarket as a whole.

The discussion of Donald Trump favoring the bitcoin or crypto community and what Kamala Harris would do if she becomes the chosen candidate are issues that have gained increased interest of people within and outside the cryptocurrency space over these days. Elections are drawing closer by the date and both prominent candidates continue to have a divergent view on certain government policies, regulations and programs, one of which includes the bitcoin, the crypto and other digital assets.

Although, Trump used to have a critics mindset towards bitcoin in the past, he has reversed his stance on the cryptocurrencies, publicly declaring his interest to support the crypto world. On that ground, he mentioned that he will end the 'war on cryptocurrencies' if he was elected as the president of the United States of America. On the flip side, Kamala Harris have not shown any concern regarding the future of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the US if she becomes the president, her advisers have also hinted the public of her possible interest in the digital assets. I know that records show that over 40% of the US citizens are on crypto and about 63% of them are already increasing their stakes and interests in the cryptocurrency market.

As I've seen several threads created that talk about Trump and Kamala Harris in relations to  crypto, this makes me wonder what the US Community would be in this forum, how many USA citizens are members of this bitcointalk forums?

I am not too confident on this issue. I'm more pro-free market thinking, so I dislike Trump less than Kamala, but I've never liked the guy with his showmanship and cocky style, plus all the controversies he's been involved in. I would have preferred Ron de Santis but that has not been the case, and besides I do not live in the USA.

But I think that Trump went to the BC for pure electoral interest, and the “crypto” project he has presented confirms it to me, apart from what he has said in some interviews makes it clear that he does not understand the basics of bitcoin.

So although in principle it seems that things would be better for bitcoin if Trump wins, I would not bet heavily on it.

Ron De Santis will be the next president after Trump. He is a good guy. I don't have anything against him but Trump has the money and the showmanship which attracts many votes. I see you don't like that part of him but actually it is his showmanship which makes him a better candidate than De Santis.

Whether he understands bitcoin or not is not that important especially when the other candidate is a complete lunatic. His VP canditate is pro bitcoin and he has Elon and Gemini Brothers supporting him that are also pro crypto.

Whether he understands bitcoin or not is not that important especially when the other candidate is a complete lunatic. His VP canditate is pro bitcoin and he has Elon and Gemini Brothers supporting him that are also pro crypto.
If the USA. citizens already feel super tired and dangerous with Democratic Party, and want change, vote for Trump and help him to become a next President, they might continue to want maintaining this change in a next election in 2028.

If this trend continues in 2028 President Election, I am thinking of two possible politicians who can continue leadership of Republic Party in the USA. They are JD Vance and Ron De Santis.

Why do you not think of JD Vance as a next nominee of Republic Party in 2028 Election and why don't think him will be a next President?
I see Vance and De Santis are similar in quality but Vance seems to handle interviews very smartly.

While I understand that Trump "loves" bitcoin, I also think that the world is 8 billion strong and we do not care about just a single person even if they may end up becoming the president of one nation. This has to be focused a lot because if people do not see that as the most important part then we are going to face with a lot of issues and keep focusing on the wrong thing.

People who think that Trump must win if we want bigger bitcoin then we are going to deal with something that is going to focus on the wrong thing and we can't do that well and we need to focus on the right thing about bitcoin itself and that would be a lot better and it won't be a big problem at all. This should be the most important thing for everyone in the bitcoin world. Obviously some people may miss that but in general we can't focus on getting better results and that is why I think we need to see this as very important to just get whatever we need and ignore these politicians.

The same Gemini that got sued for fraud?  Is that really the kind of "pro crypto" environment we want?  Shitty people running shitty fraud rings and getting away with it?  Consider carefully what kind of world we want this to be.  Legitimacy and integrity are qualities sorely lacking these days.  The entire Trump campaign is just criminals supporting criminals.  If you sincerely want to vote for more corruption and crime, it makes me wonder what kind of person you are.

JD Vance is a legit presidential candidate too but I somehow believe De Santis is a better pick. It is probably because I watched more of his speeches and "know" him better than JD Vance. I will be happy with either of those probably.

The same Gemini that got sued for fraud?

The only fraud here are the demo*rats.

Bitcoin will be fine either way.  But the US still thinks it operates in a world where other nations don't exist.  So yeah, go ahead and further isolate yourself by electing a convicted felon who no other nation on Earth will want to deal with.  See what that does for your standing on the world stage.  Morons.
Bitcoin will always be fine. It will only stop its existence and ceased from progress if the world itself will turn their backs from bitcoin, thus leaving its decentralization and utility case in exchange from something better, which for now still remains uncertain. But saying that bitcoin won’t be fine if this US election will end up as a failure for bitcoin community, of course it won’t be the case. There are still a lot of big institutions and widely developed countries that are still supporting and protecting bitcoin, US is just a small piece of it.

Apparently Trump has sent a bitcoin payment to pay for some cheeseburgers in New York. There is a pub called Pubkey and it was before his Rally in New York he attended. There are videos and photos all over twitter showing him sending the first bitcoin transaction as a president. Then he gave a bunch of burgers to many people in the restauraunt.

Its funny, he wanted to call them Crypto Burger but someone shouted "No they are Bitcoin Burgers". I thought that was pretty funny. Either way its a good sign seeing this. Really hope he wins the election in November. Itll be better for regulation and as long as Gensler is removed, then it should be good for the future of crypto in USA.

apart from what he has said in some interviews makes it clear that he does not understand the basics of bitcoin.
I think he just using bitcoin for popularity. He was know bitcoin have a big community in the world and using it for make his famous. but behind all of that, to understand basic bitcoin or not, Trump have a bit more respect than compared to his opponent. Even Trump is bit of a jerk, but there is a bright spot for Bitcoin community, at least there is hope if he wins compared with Kemala to bring bitcoin to more massively used on USA.

However, what can be my mind right now is why is he always the target of assassination?. is this pure or or is it just a strategy for him to seek sympathy?.

I think saying *Elon* supports crypto is taking it a bit too far though. The man publicly dumped Bitcoin in 2022 or something, via Tesla. (and is now backtracking by letting people buy Cybertrucks with bitcoin soon, or so I heard.) The man doesn't really care about anything other than Dogecoin - and only because he can farm engagements on his other platform with pictures of Shiba Inus and DOGE acronyms.

I think he holds some coins too, but he's not going to be an outspoken guy for it.
