19 years old Salvadoran study - El Salvador, Travel and Bitcoin questionnare

Dear Fellow Bitcoiners, I'm a 19 years old Salvadoran.

I'm currently doing a study regarding Foreigners insights about El Salvador and traveling preferences, I have been into Bitcoin for a year and couple of months and I truly believe in the potential of Bitcoin for financial privacy and freedom.

Can you share a bit more about yourself, and life in El Salvador? I've read bits and pieces, and seen a video from a tourist paying with LN, but more is better. From what I've seen, the country got a lot safer in the past few years.

Thanks for letting me know about the issue, at the moment in El Salvador the adoption is a work in progress, not all of the merchants accept it but many of them, is possible to live the Bitcoin Standard just have to seek for specific stores accepting it, many companies are growing like atms, nfc cards, etc.

I encourage you to visit the country and go to Berlín, Usulutan or El Zonte, those places have many stores accepting Bitcoin and the communities there are very friendly 👌

7. When you think of El Salvador, what is the first thing that comes to mind?

Bitcoin (obviously).
Gang wars, now massive prisons.
Huge drop in murder rate thanks to massive prisons.

12.What kind of Bitcoin-related events would you be most interested in El Salvador?

Actually paying with Bitcoin.
I wouldn't visit Bitcoin-events for privacy reasons.

15.How important is it for you to have technical advice or assistance?

Lol. "Tech support" on Bitcoin while abroad is how you get scammed.

I would warn those who have tattoos, especially some that cannot be effectively hidden, to be careful - because one of the criteria that the government has in the fight against gangs is to imprison all those who have tattoos. In the fight against gangs, many innocent people ended up in prison just because they have tattoos and the face of someone who could be a gang member.

Maybe there are some areas that are more secure than others, but overall it is still an unsafe country where it is not possible to pay with BTC everywhere as some think.
