Hey guys, my name is Ryan! A while back, I was searching for a solid online community, kind of like Reddit, but focused on gambling content – somewhere to talk about slots, share tips, and just connect with other players. After coming up empty, a few of us decided: why not build it ourselves?

That’s how SpinTalk.org was born – a community built by gamblers, for gamblers. We wanted a place where players could get together, discuss their favorite slots, crypto casinos, and share real insights without all the noise.

Our goal with the "Cheers" system was to create a way to reward engagement and active participation in the community. Of course, we know that no system is perfect, but we’re trying to make it as fair and fun as possible for everyone. We’ve also taken a lot of pride in building a robust spam prevention system to stop people from gaming the system. As a member, you go through four trust levels, and with each level, the spam and auto-moderation system loosens up a bit. We wanted to ensure that only genuine and active members are rewarded while maintaining the quality of discussions.

As for the giveaway, I can see how it might feel like more of a competition. The idea was to encourage people to interact and contribute in meaningful ways, not just to game the system. We’re constantly monitoring the community to ensure it stays authentic and valuable, and we’ll definitely be looking into any signs of abuse, like spammy or low-quality posts.

While bitcointalk has an active gambling community, there are other forums which are strictly gambling focused, so another is always welcome and will not be affecting the traffic here. You'll have a tough task when incentivising posts of filtering through and maintaining the quality of discussions and to keep any discussion at all after the contest is over.

With the way the system is configured I don't if they can handle the loads of spam that is to come in that system as you stated. Hence there active and rewarding system should be more strict especially in terms of topic creation, posting report and online activeness.
I believe if they have been around this forum for awhile they could have gained some insight on how to implement more favorable rule and not just a tasks based system where the entire system has to be compromised by shitposter.

Anyway welcome to Bitcointalk, I will say spintalk.org is another place to grow like Bitcointalk with more rules you would achieve that.

Maybe you will have to hire one or more moderators, who will have to delete all the spam and low quality posts, that are about to be posted on your forum for the sake of farming "cheers". I'm a little bit skeptical about the usage of monetary awards and giveaways, in order to boost the activity on a forum. What happens when the giveaway is over and nobody has an incentive to post on your forum? The forum activity will drop like a rock from a mountain. Do you plan adding gambling signature campaigns to your forum? Maybe this will keep the forum activity high.

Honestly, I am more convinced that Bitcointalk is a large forum that also discusses gambling, especially cryptocurrency-based gambling. It has many active users who frequently discuss it. The community here is very solid, as proven by the numerous topics or discussions about casino gambling, sportsbetting, and more.

Regarding the interface, I prefer Bitcointalk over SpinTalk. Although Bitcointalk has a more classic and simple appearance, for many users it's easy to understand and more comfortable to use. A simple style is sometimes more effective for a large community with many active discussions. SpinTalk, which may have a more modern appearance, might not offer the same comfort for some users who prefer the simplicity.

I personally believe that you will have to fight a bit harder than $300 prize to beat the amount of gambling audience or if not beat, get them to your platform and make them active. Also, the number of representatives of the biggest casinos like Stake are on Bitcointalk, which some what helps to solve any issues someone face, even if that's a newbie account with his first post.

Exactly and why we go on other platform while everything is discussed here? For sure those regular stay in bitcointalk will not go anywhere unless they offer something that their new user could benefit.

But if they actually nothing to offer or use those generic promotions used by other casino then provably people will not convince to use their site but rather stay here since bitcointalk is always updated on everything related gambling contents especially for new casino to launch their services and other big promotions done here.

But still good to see such service exist since maybe this site will became a good alternative for gamblers to discuss about any gambling related matters.

The main reason for creating this kind of communities is to get affiliates, im not sure if this is the OP goal, but that's the ficus on this kind of projects.

But is hard to build those communities with real players, most users will be there trying ti farm the promotions.

Sad to say, but mostly these kind projects e.g. forum, compiling list of casinos, help gambling addict etc can't survive because it's not money oriented projects, while you need to pay hosting fees, spend your time and effort to take care of your projects.

I rarely see there are active gambling forum out there except this forum and reddit.

Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify, we’re not trying to compete with Bitcointalk—especially not as a whole. We’re more focused on creating a space that covers all types of gambling, including sweepstakes, regulated online casinos, in-person casinos, and crypto gambling. While we’ll have some overlap with the gambling section here, SpinTalk.org will cover a much broader range of topics, not just crypto-related gambling.

As for the giveaways, we see them as a way to kickstart the community and bring in early engagement. But we’re building SpinTalk to be sustainable long-term, with features like user-driven discussions, guides, and reviews that we believe will keep people interested even after the contests wrap up.

Great then I look forward for spintalk.org becoming a better place. However I would love to make account over there to see how the system works as well, maybe sometimes I can involved myself with most of the gambling discussion over there to also share thought and experience with other fellow just as we do here in Bitcointalk. Of course as a new site that is trying to get attention and visibility you wouldn't be that hard even though there some strict measures to implement at least at the first period or year people should also have that freedom to roll along with the system.
