I was reminded of Apple’s latest iPhone 16. There hasn’t been much change, but the price is still so expensive. For me, a mobile phone is OK as long as it doesn’t lag and can run properly. I often use it for several years. As for the functions, the only thing I hope to improve is the photo function. In the end, mobile phone photography can never be compared with video cameras.

lol my phone stays with me for at least 5-7 years depend in update availability and depends if this will stay functional because there is no need for upgrade when I have my laptop and PC together with my Ipad so there is no sense for mobile upgrading .

No, of course, it's enough for me for 3 years. Thanks to apple for the quality, their phones are even enough for 5 years!

I still walk with 11 iPhones, a workhorse like 5. Before that, I went with the fifth for a long time.

We are already talking about this topic in this thread: Cutting cost: Do we really need the latest smartphone? so I will quote in brief what I said there:

-snip- I recently heard that every time you change your smartphone before the end of it's life cycle, your hands are a little more stained by the blood of many slaves who work not only in the coltan mines but in many other points of the production chain.

Better for your pocket, better for the people, better for the planet. Getting the newest device for the sake of fasion is just another madness of our times I try to avoid.

Looking at some statistics I found, it seems that 14% of people change their phone every year, and 6.6% do it every six months (that's crazy). The average time to upgrade the phone, on the other hand, is between 2 and 3 years.

As long as my phone doesn't lag, I won't replace it. Thanks to Apple's excellent performance

Only for daddy children, pure vanity. While the OS can be update, the screen it's ok and it not ralentize, I can't see a reason for buy a new smartphone.
