You expressed yourself well but didn't make us understand if the friend in your story is a basket mouth kind of person, that is, someone who knows how to blab a lot or talks too much and easily trust people with their secrets.

Well never had this information but usually when accessing internet through computer there is always this warning messages that displays to me saying "this network is not trusted" scan this network to be at the safe side. Meaning you are right because if the network is that secure there wouldn't had been a time to receive such notification or do i assumed to be the anti virus scanning the system.

Exactly less knowledge can also cause the loss of bitcoin because some people might have the bitcoin on their wallet but it might be they bought that bitcoin on an exchange wallet, which many didn't know the difference between wallet and exchange wallet. Because it is mostly on the wallet that you will need to provide your seed phase, but on the exchange wallet, they can just simply convert it to USDT and send it to their exchange wallet if they know your pin or have access to your fingerprint or face verification, so it will be easy for them to do. If you're in crypto, don't give out your phone to people ever so often, if possible, never do it. Even if it's a family friend. As long as there's crypto or wallets/exchange accounts on it, don't give it out.

There was a supposed hack that happened in 2021. I recently got to learn that it wasn't a hack and was simply a close family friend playing the long game. He learnt the password by being around too much and used that opportunity to unlock the device, get seed phrase and wiped the wallet a month after so there wouldn't be suspicions.

I see similar attacks on X every now and then too. So the TLDR version is: Don't let another person know your seed phrase no matter how close you are except it is indeed your family and the wallet is a retirement/inheritance wallet and not being active used.

You are right. Checking up the wallet is very important, although some people think that cracking all the time may make them take the wrong decision. When they see that the coin is dumped, they may panic. That is why you will see some people don’t bother checking their wallet, which is too risky and bad to do.

I have a friend that doesn’t want to check his wallet because he doesn’t want to sell at a loss, and he thinks checking it up all the time makes him do so, especially when the market is red. He doesn’t want to see it when he is at a loss, but I don’t find this a big deal because from the start of the investment you’ve already taken the risk, so you should take everything that comes to it regardless.
