For bitcoin, hacker just transferred to another bitcoin wallet and he holding it and doing nothing of it yet.

The answer is 99,99% no but if someone experienced  or heard something similar I'd be glad to hear.

I work with my brother. We worked very hard to get this money and I am really sad for him.

The things is, once your coins have left your wallet then it's very hard for you to get it back unless a 3rd party is there to help you.
In this case, you won't be getting the bitcoins back since the hacker is holding it in his wallet.
In case of USDT, only the exchange can help you in getting the coins back if you provide enough evidence.
The chances are still low but you can give it a shot by contacting the customer support.

That's a lesson for all of us, don't be too quick to click on anything in our email because it might be a virus - and it's even better to secure the PC we use by using an antivirus, a free version like Avast should be good enough.
And for the loss your brother experienced, he should report it to the police and then make a direct report to OKX exchange, if you have all the evidence they should help you identify the perpetrator, because as far as I know if users want to withdraw from OKX they need to do KYC.
The biggest lesson for the OP and his brother regarding this hack is never to click on sites that they know nothing about. The internet is an open space and if you don't make efforts to protect your privacy like having antivirus and avoid being over curious to click on unfamiliar sites then you will be a victim of hackers.

They can chat OKX exchange about freezing the hackers account but it's not enough, they need to involve the law enforcement in their country. Although there's no guarantee of getting their money back but I think it's the best option that they have. I however sympathize with them and hope that they get their money back eventually, let this incident be a big lesson for them.

This is pretty new to me, Are you sure you can be infected by just clicking the attachment .zip file from email?
What I think is you can only be infected from any package files, like .rar or .zip, if you open or extract them.

While pretty uncommon, there is a chance you could get a virus just from opening a .zip or .rar file if there's some bug in the compression program to be exploited.  but it's way more likely the .zip and .rar file itself is actually some evil little program pretending to be a safe compressed file.  These fake archive files look totally legit, with the right icons and file types to fool you.  So even though it seems like a regular old archive file when you open it up you accidentally run the malware hidden inside before you even realize whats going on.  It's a nasty trick because there's no way to tell the baddies from the goodies just by looking at them.

it's still worth contacting their support and explaining the situation, also you can involve and explain issue to law enforcement and provide evidence to the exchange, it might be faster.

Of course, there's a slim outside chance that some of the funds might be recoverable, especially if the hacker passed them through OKX, as OKX usually investigates funds that are in one way or another connected to hacks or scams. They have frozen accounts in such cases, even during the FTX hack. You might want to contact OKX support without any further ado and provide all the evidence that you can gather, such as the transaction record or wallet address of this hacker. As for Bitcoin, it is hard to trace, especially if this Bitcoin hasn't moved to this date, but trying some blockchain explorers would do great. You can also go to the police and file a complaint, and get the services of a cybersecurity expert. Keep pushing, maybe then the exchange will cooperate.

You can only send an email to OKX and asks them to freeze hackers account with showing the proof to them. Without any proof, an exchange will difficult to freeze or even block someone account. I have an experienced in my Trust wallet which I don't know what is happen and I saw the transaction in front of my eyes. Can you imagine what is the feeling? That is my bad day but fortunately, what he stole is not much and only a token which I don't know how much the price now.

That was a bad experience for us so next time we must ensure that we don't click any links that seems suspicious to us. We must be careful saving our crypto assets and stay away from that things.

Centralized exchanges can seize funds of hackers when they receive solid orders from governments or reports from customers. Sometimes they proactively do this in too big and famous hacks like Axie Infinity hack years ago.

As a user, you can send your support ticket to exchanges where you trace the hackers' wallets and stolen fund movements. To be serious and increase your chance of success in getting support from centralized exchanges, you must prove that you own these cryptocurrency with signed messages from private keys you own, and if possible you as a victim can file a report to police for their investigation on criminals.

Chance to succeed is not too high and the procedure surely is complicated.

There exists certain vulnerability with the use of these electronic devices and how we manage our Bitcoins stored in the wallets we’ve got on these devices. Management of it could be in the form of handling and by your brother as stated in the OP, having to click this link, he obviously opened the gateway to whatever phishing program it contains.
First thing to know is, it’s you that always let them in. A little let down on your guard and the damage that could be done would be hard to contain.

If you could get an account frozen on OKX; of course that’s very possible. It might take a bit of time though, depending on how your able to establish the report as, you wouldn’t have OKX freezing just any user’s account. It would mean bad business for the exchange. Still, you’ve got to try and see what comes off it.

I saw some people suggesting to the OP that he should contact OKX support and ask for their help to get his assets back. But I want to ask, what will OP provide to OKX to verify that he was actually hacked and it was not a 2 party transaction? I'm not saying OP is lying but the issue we need to consider is how can OP convince them to believe what OP says?

If I were the OP, I would report this to law enforcement or a cybercrime agency instead of running to the bank or financial institution to report it. Because they will definitely not believe us and they will also advise us to report this incident to the competent crime prevention agencies.

FTX's case is completely different than OP's because they are an organization and have been verified to be hacked, whereas who verified for OP that he was hacked?

The second case you mentioned: OKX users are hacked, so OKX is responsible to its users because it is also their responsibility to their customers. Meanwhile OP is not a user nor does he use any of their services.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother's unfortunate experience, but I hope this will teach him a valuable lesson, that given the advanced technology of today's internet hackers, he should never be readily seduced by emails sent to anonymous senders. Your account will vanish with a single click.
Though you can try contacting customer service but  I think it  won't guarantee that your brother's account will recover, but it will at least maybe it would allow you to try and get some assistance.

I have experienced the same thing. However, I don't know what I did so that the hacker could access my Private keys and take everything in it. However, we must always be vigilant, and install a really good antivirus to prevent this. In fact, now I am really careful in clicking on links, because we don't know what the hacker sent us. I am sorry for what happened to you.

It's so painful to have lost all one's sweat and Hardwork into the hands of heartless hackers, and we need to be careful and watch out inorder not to fall victims of cyber attack especially to our funds., then how possible it is for an antivirus to prevent such hacks what I know is antivirus are basically use as safeguard to viruses especially PC and phones so does it necessarily work to prevent hackers from our devices? Mostly this period are the best seasons for hackers cause they set up little traps inorder to get on individuals that are not security cautious,But to be on a safer side we need to backup our private key and this is why authenticator is needed to safeguard our funds and we shouldn't click on such links.

It is one of those things that it is really difficult to believe, because one day everything was fine and the next you lose everything your worked so hard for, it is because of this reason we advocate for people to keep the size of their stash a secret and to get a hardware wallet that can secure their money in the case a hacker were to target them, also it is important to have your coins in several different wallets as even if one of them gets compromised, the rest are still safe and the criminals cannot take them with them.

I work with my brother. We worked very hard to get this money and I am really sad for him.

I think it's not that easy, not everyone who comes up with a story will believe it. The victim has to provide enough evidence to prove it, and this evidence must be valid. This can only be achieved by creating a legal file with the help of a government agency or private company specialized in these matters. The problem with this is that the cost of creating a convincing file can cost money and time that is not commensurate with the value of the money that will be recovered, assuming that it will actually be recovered. Time is also important because while waiting for this file to be created, the hacker will have exchanged the money for cash and spent it.

I retraced hacker's transfers and I realized that he swapped all crypto to usdt and transferred all to okx exchange.
Do you think there's a possibility to freeze hackers okx account or something ?
It can still be attempted but at the end of the day anything is possible as the account or money could be frozen or at worst you may not get anything back. But it does not hurt to try to contact some related things because in the end the effort is also important especially if it is a very large loss obtained due to irresponsible savages.

In addition to doing so, this can also be a lesson that in the end, the current situation of fraud is increasingly widespread and the modes are very diverse so don't let something like this happen to you or your friends and all of us to be more careful in seeing or checking so as not to carelessly make carelessness because there could be bad people stalking us now and waiting for us to let our guard down. Hopefully you get good results buddy but remember a situation like this there is definitely the worst possibility and must be prepared for that possibility too.

You do not need much more experience than the average Scammer trying to sweep your Bitcoin through Malware.  I suppose it does not take much coding effort and knowledge to create one.  You only need an unexperienced victim who lacks knowledge about Safety or Security on the Internet to click the infected file.  And unfortunately, it seems like there are many who would do it.

Do you think there's a possibility to freeze hackers okx account or something ?

I'm a little curious, but how can this be said with certainty?
The hacker sent several different coins, including a swap in USDT that he sent to a completely third address, or maybe even directly to OKX as the OP claims.
How is it even possible to know to which address the USDT from the swap process went?

What is it now OP?
You haven't come back anymore since you made this thread. You are probably still looking for this thread as a guest as a lot of information has been told to you. Have you already contacted those suggested to be contacted? Because it won't be as easy as they might have thought it would be. There's a thing in the past about exchanges contacting the other one to freeze the hacker's account and funds.

The things is, once your coins have left your wallet then it's very hard for you to get it back unless a 3rd party is there to help you.
I would never recommend for anyone to seek out the help of a third party to 'recover' any of your funds. Sometimes it is best to let it go instead of trying to recover it by taking services where it requires you to send out sensitive information and giving them access to your wallet or any account. I do not believe in such recovery services.
Quote
In this case, you won't be getting the bitcoins back since the hacker is holding it in his wallet.
In case of USDT, only the exchange can help you in getting the coins back if you provide enough evidence.
The chances are still low but you can give it a shot by contacting the customer support.
Correct me if I am wrong but Okx exchange uses KYC so OP can probably get the authorities involved here if it is safe to let them be involved. In a sense that crypto is legal in the country.

I was also looking for the update although I think that they've probably gotten into some kind of business that probably made it so they can't update this thread, hopefully we get to see and update and a good ending to this story because most of the time, even if they're able to freeze the accounts, the exchange can't do much about the funds that was stolen, the hackers might also be using fake IDs to bypass the KYC verification of these exchanges.
