 Even at this, do you know that in most cases of things you know too well, fear do arise when you think the other way round.
 Since you have been investing or studying about bitcoins as a newbie, what are still your biggest fear.

My second biggest fear is that Bitcoin and all other Cryptocurrencies fail at achieving their purpose, ultimately leaving us with no other option for Financial Privacy and Freedom.  Bitcoin and Monero are to me two wonders.  I always felt unsafe holding Fiat, whether in Banks or not.  I always wanted an alternative.  Finding Bitcoin felt like discovering a completely new land.

My biggest fear is that the World becomes so dystopian that not only will Bitcoin fail, but every single thing becomes under such strong control that we are left with no more Rights.

Well they say Bitcoin and crypto is the future. My biggest fear is a new innovation will come out that bypass all hindrances to financial transparency and decentralization. We dont know yet what is there to come so if ever theres a new tech that introduced that surpasses the ability of bitcoin and other and lead to migration to this new one which I believe not present yet (Hope not yet).

I also scared if there would be a time almost all of Bitcoin (let's say 99%) are hoarded by centralized exchanges and institutions, then they will force people to use their own exchange and wallet because they hold the real coins, only distribute the fake Bitcoin like ETFs or off chain version.

My biggest fear has already started wherein the government has started controlling Bitcoin through ETFs 

There is nothing to fear as I have been in this business for 6 years and every time there is an obstacle, Bitcoin always destroys the obstacle. If you are somewhat new to this world of Bitcoin do remember that Bitcoin has survived and excelled in its presence without any marketing and it has now gained more popularity globally without anyone's intervention. It is all about trust and the belief that Bitcoin will eliminate poverty by destroying the banking system which we are still part of in 2024. I only fear one thing which is can the codes of Bitcoin be altered by the government to solve its economic crisis.

I have fallen victim several times seeing my wallet drained. The amount involved is insignificant but it's important to me.

It's my biggest fear for now as far as crypto entirely is concerned. I can't imagining waking up one day and discover my wallet is drained again simply because of minor mistakes. There's no minor mistakes here by the way, you pay for every mistake dearly and I'm afraid of making such mistakes again. I'm not scared of market volatility because it's part of the game but losing your coins to someone is never part of it.

This remains my biggest fear! I don't think any security measures will make me get over it.

This is serious and there is 60% possibilit, however, will it be possible to purchase all bitcoins by these exchanges?.
If possible, then the technology needs improvement to keep decentralized.

Even though Government imposes that. Let say for one country, it doesnt mean all government on other countries will follow through right? If anyone would do an executive order it must be US, then some might follow, but if the next President is a pro crypto I doubt this will ever happened.

But who knows what would happened if this in any chance got to happen then thats also a doom on bitcoin.

It doesn't make sense, you are worrying yourself for nothing sake, because nothing fails at the same time, all at once, it is not even possible.

Bitcoin have passed the fail stage already, now it is too late to be called fail, while other altcoins can still fail even if they are on the top 20 list on coinmarketcap, this changes every four year cycle

I strongly believe in Bitcoin as my long term home, my right store of value instead of my bank account, but that doesn't mean I will stay away from altcoins, the goal is to make money from altcoins and reinvest that into Bitcoin later.

Neither will it get centralized. Apparently, and as long as Satoshi remains anonymous then we have trust for bitcoin even if it's extremely volatile it doesn't matter anyway. But still, this is cryptocurrency space and there could be any possibility for such to happen which I know can not likely occur neither is it in any records. I know government has been looking for alternative to control bitcoin and makes it centralized but it didn't work as they planned but today same government are having debate over bitcoin just to gain the attention of the youth for their political jingoism and selflessness.

I don't know how any government could force you or anyone else to hand over your BTC that you keep in a non-custodial wallet, especially if they don't even know that you have it at all.

I also scared if there would be a time almost all of Bitcoin (let's say 99%) are hoarded by centralized exchanges and institutions, then they will force people to use their own exchange and wallet because they hold the real coins, only distribute the fake Bitcoin like ETFs or off chain version.

If this happens, then we can't blame them, it's the fault of those who agreed to sell because they think that fiat has more value than BTC. Of course, that will never be true, because "they" can print as much money as they want, and Bitcoin will always be worth more because it has a limited supply.

Yes Bitcoin protocol remains decentralized but there are points that could be centralized like
Mining centralization 
Node centralization
Not to mention Layer 2 centralization is possible.
Yes the Protocol is still centralized but something's related to it are centralized.

I don’t see this as a problem or thing to be scared of, I think the major reason why bitcoin was invented was to make way for financial freedom, transparency and decentralization and that doesn’t mean it will be in any competition with any currency so just in case we got to a position where a better technology comes which betters this use case then it wouldn’t be a problem rather we will embrace it too and use each for it’s cause because as far as I know, no matter the outcome bitcoin will still have its value and use case.

Yes Bitcoin protocol remains decentralized but there are points that could be centralized like
Mining centralization 
Node centralization
Not to mention Layer 2 centralization is possible.
Yes the Protocol is still centralized but something's related to it are centralized.

The protocol will remain decentralized because the centralization of the miners or such cannot rewrite the script on it. I get that bitcoin mining is a bit more centralized this days to some big mining pools but as long as there is other mining pools no matter how small too the censorship can be curtail and aside censorship of transactions I don’t have any much fear with others. Node cannot be centralized because we all are node runners and most of us cannot be centralized which is also major reason why decentralization of the network will still go on for as long as I can remember. The only scare is that mining centralization and even that I don’t foresee in a short period of time maybe until after mining ends and it is not long too profitable for even smaller pools to run again

My biggest fear is that some f***ed up dictator, politician or soldier sets the world on fire by actually using atomic weapons and/or starting another world war which will be far more devastating than any past war in history.

We already have too many wars going on, too many corrupt politicians and governments still spend an absurd amount of money for war games and war gear.

Humanity ruins the only planet we have and apparently didn't much evolve to avoid wars, violence and other crimes to humanity.

I've children and I try to stay positive but it's not easy. Our children deserve a better world than we have now. We, our children and future children deserve a future worth to live in.


It doesn't feel appropriate for me to mention anything related to Bitcoin or other crypto coins/tokens in this context. It's way behind what bugs me the most, see above.

My biggest fear is being over confident in Bitcoin, it scares me because, I have got so much believe in Bitcoin that, it’s difficult having to imagine that it could have negative implications in time. I prefer having my savings in Bitcoin than fiat and I’ve got reasons to. Especially with the fact that it stands as an investment and appreciates in value rather than the fiat that could deflationary. Imagine what the idea of an eminent doom would do to what have been rooted in you(me).

Let me still take this avenue to tell you that, you should be confident in Bitcoin, it pays to do so and build a portfolio of it.

Personally, my biggest fear is to get my devices compromised. Even though I do not use random websites where I may download or get attacked by malware and get my device compromised. I am aware of the scam, hacking attempts and I always ignore clicking on random links on the internet. But as you know, the experienced people also fall for trap sometimes because we do not pay attention. I am not a big holder and I don't feel I should have an hardware wallet right now. So, the laptop and my smartphone is the devices I use to store my crypto. I hope these devices won't get compromised.

My biggest fear is that all of this becomes an unreal world, a big war will destroy the economy including bitcoin, everyone will melidize his assets from risky things like bitcoin to secure their wealth, even though bitcoin will be safe but the price I think is very questioned when the third world war Occurs, people need money to survive and finance anything in their lives so that they continue to walk and when the precarious most humans will not talk to investment, they will disguise how they can live longer and safer.

It would be interesting to now create a poll with the main topics mentioned here. Personally my biggest fear is certainly to lose access to my funds, I have funds in several wallets, several exchanges, several casinos, so I'm less likely to lose all my funds in one single time, but more likely to lose some parts of them in several times. So second one is of course being hacked, or seeing one platform where I own some funds being hacked or closing its doors before I can get back my cryptos.
