so isnt this actually 52.045% of food wastage based on the second statements numbers

Your math is correct but the problem is that OP didn't provide a correct info. Approximately 30% 13.2% is lost between harvest and retail. 19% of total global food production is wasted in households, in food services and in retail.

Another interesting fact, along with food waste is that 12.5% of the global population is obese and 35% of the global population can't afford to eat normally.

Food waste is definitely a big problem in more developed countries, to the point where some companies would rather destroy or dispose of food rather than sell it cheaper at the end of the day. Sadly this shouldn't be a trend in the world but we get to see it. Trust me when I say food should be the last thing anyone should be desperately thinking of. Well, superstores, warehouses and some markets are not interested in disposing of the food they neglected for the needy. One time I saw a restaurant that posted a flyer that wrote that if you want the food, go to the dump. I felt angry because what's the point of throwing the food away in the dump where insect rodents will trample upon it rather than operating it at the end of the day and calling someone to pick it up for those who are in need.

I always find it funny when people blame the rich for their poverty, when in fact rich has nothing to do with it, . Rich has their own money, so they are free to spend it anywhere they wanted to.

We don't have to go against the universe. Spoiled food can be used as natural fertilizer for other crops to grow so the food aren't basically wasting but just that we don't make good use of the spoiled food correctly. One way to conserve produce is to buy foodstuff as you see your average food needs. Excess can be given to needy, which can be your next door neighbor or a local slum or maids.

It does hurt to see certain people wasting food, but from where I live, wastage is minimal and either they feed to to animals or to the needy slum kids.
