it is 'only' the central bank being silly (of course) and wanting to close exchange bankaccounts (that was said in december already). So exchanges will not close (not a single one) - they might very well go back to vouchers. There is really nothing new in this news.
So nothing to be expected really from mid-april. All they do is fuck up your mind with headlines and keep prices depressed as good as they can.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

It doesnt matter if it is a real ban or not, maybe it is part of this simple strategy:

1. Short the Bitcoin Price with a CFD
2. Start rumors with the word "China"
3. DDOS a few exchanges and this forum
4. Spam twitter and reddit with FUD
5. Close CFD with massive profit
6. Repeat at will

as weird as it may sounds - i agree. this bullshit lasts too long.

tired of identical bitcoin forks? try out BCN - no ASICs, no transaction tracking https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=512747.0

don't think they will ever stop the bullshit. When they run out of old bullshit they create new bullshit. If needed they hire actors and make up fairytales. Get used to it.

Such news aren't good for general atmosphere, even though it doesn't impact coin in normal way. Most of people just can't see the difference. But global atmosphere around bitcoin change quickly. This recent false report might be only released so people can make money on cheap bitcoin they are going to buy now and sell it later for great profit.

That, or Ripple deposits and withdrawals.

Well it's getting to the point that i think China should just ban BTC and let the rest of the world just get on with it. IT's not good that one country has so much influence over the price. A little bit of FUD goes along way !
